Review: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

Excellent Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui! We drove all the way from Bangkok, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The concierge team promptly assisted with our luggage and parked our car, making our arrival completely seamless. The lobby and check-in area are absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful Koh Samui coastline. It is one of the best places to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. We were assigned Room 503, which was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The privacy compartment doors made it ideal for families, and the sofa bed was surprisingly large and comfortable—perfect for our 19-year-old son. Pros: - A beautiful private beach with complimentary kayaking. While it may not be the best beach for swimming, it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying water activities. - The buggy service was incredibly fast and efficient. Every driver was friendly, cheerful, and always ready to take us anywhere around the resort within minutes. - Outstanding hospitality and guest service. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Mr. Ruben for taking such great care of us throughout our stay. - The concierge team did an excellent job arranging our private long-tail boat tour. We had a wonderful day visiting Pig Island, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the beauty of Koh Samui. Everything was organized perfectly. - The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. The bacon and pastries were among the best we've had, and a special thank you to Mr. Ping for serving us the sweetest, most delicious mangoes every morning. - Our housekeeping attendant, Mr. Renu from Myanmar, was exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. He kept our room spotless every day, and his attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable. During check-out, I had a pleasant conversation with Bernice, the Director of Rooms from Malaysia. Our chat about Malaysian food brought back wonderful memories and was a lovely way to end our stay. Three nights simply were not enough at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. This is the kind of resort where you should stay for at least one week to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. Unfortunately, I didn't even have enough time to experience the gym, which looked excellent. Only one small suggestion: the breakfast seating area can get a little warm during the morning. Of course, that's part of the tropical outdoor atmosphere—almost like a natural sauna—but a few more cooling fans would make the experience even more comfortable. Overall, we completely fell in love with The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. The breathtaking scenery, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and warm hospitality from every member of the team made this an unforgettable vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly world-class stay in Koh Samui.

El hotel está situado en el corazón de Chaweng Beach, la playa mundialmente famosa. Rodeado de vegetación, cuenta con una larga piscina junto a los edificios y otra más grande junto al mar. El desayuno se sirve en el restaurante junto al mar, acompañado del canto de los pájaros y el canto de las ardillas. El desayuno es abundante, con abundantes platos calientes, incluyendo fruta y bollería. Un pequeño inconveniente de las habitaciones es la fontanería anticuada de las duchas. Garrya Tonsay Bay fue un oasis hermoso y tranquilo en Koh Samui. Nos alojamos un par de noches y nos encantó la variedad de actividades incluidas, desde yoga y muay thai por la mañana hasta clases de circuito, paddle surf y snorkel; todo muy bien organizado. El restaurante era excelente; disfrutamos de la cena ”Sabores del Norte de Tailandia”, y el desayuno buffet fue uno de los mejores que hemos probado. El personal fue increíble, increíblemente amable y atento a cada detalle. ¡Recomiendo ampliamente este relajante refugio!

Está a unos diez minutos a pie del centro comercial Central. El desayuno es bastante rico, tanto occidental como tailandés. Vale la pena levant**** temprano para ver el amanecer en la playa de Chaweng. El gimnasio del hotel es relativamente pequeño. Si necesitas alquilar una moto, te recomiendo la primera tienda de motos a la derecha del hotel. Los coches son muy nuevos. Amazing resort! Couldn't Reccommend it highly enough! I see the effort of the staff every day with the fruit and water around the pool to all guests and the environment so well kept. They even provide a small treat before sleep on the bed waiting and throughout our stay the upmost care and attention to all needs of their customers. We stayed in the pool villa 2 bedroom style house and it was unbelievable. The Chinese new year spread and events were also very nice as we live in China as expats! Really wish people to pay attention to this resort! 5☆

En general estoy bastante satisfecho, sobre todo por la calidad a este precio. El hotel tiene su propia playa y ofrece actividades gratuitas como remo, lo cual merece mucho la pena. Solo se puede decir que el sabor del desayuno y el almuerzo está bien. Vale la pena mencionar que hay empleados que hablan chino allí, por lo que la comunicación es más fluida. Desafortunadamente, tuve que tomar un vuelo, así que no revisé cuidadosamente los artículos del hotel. Cuando quise hacer el check out, dije que no podía encontrar la bolsa de lavandería porque estaba hecha de tela y tenía que pagarla. . Mi sugerencia es verificar cuidadosamente la noche antes de partir y comunicarse con tiempo si tiene alguna pregunta, para evitar apresurarse y no tener tiempo suficiente para comunicarse y resolver problemas :(

Lo usé en mi luna de miel. Se decoró la habitación y nos sirvieron un pastel. El personal es muy amable y todos pueden hablar inglés. La playa estaba cerca y la piscina era genial. Sin embargo, debido a renovaciones, parte de la piscina y el restaurante no estaban disponibles, por lo que le di una puntuación de 4. En cambio, me dieron un crédito por valor de 1000 baht. También fue desafortunado que no pudiéramos utilizar el restaurante llamado Star debido a la lluvia del día anterior. No hay nada que pueda hacer al respecto. En general estuvo muy bien. Excelente hotel a orillas de la playa de Lamai. En 30 segundos estás en una calle con guijarros y tiendas. Los desayunos son MUY ricos y variados. La piscina es pequeña, pero tiene una profundidad excelente, ideal tanto para niños como para adultos. En la playa ofrecen excelentes masajes a buen precio. Lo único es que el precio parece un poco elevado: 90 $ por noche, dentro del estándar habitual. Además, la escucha es muy buena; alguien golpeaba la puerta constantemente por todos lados, lo cual es muy molesto. En general, el hotel está bien.

Habitaciones amplias, limpias y fragantes. Un baño muy grande con ducha y bañera. Hay batas y pantuflas. Tranquilo, no se oye nada la ciudad ni las fiestas. El personal es de buen carácter. Desayunos muy variados y de calidad. Importante: este hotel está ubicado en un remanso, por lo que no hay oportunidad de disfrutar del mar y su profundidad (al menos durante la temporada alta, abril). Resulta que es como un baño de mar en el hotel. Para nadar en el ”agua grande”, es necesario caminar por la playa más cercana al centro de Chaweng. de 13 a 15 de la tarde happy hour: dos cócteles por el precio de uno. Y descuentos en el menú del mediodía. Me gustó mucho todo, todos contentos :) Ah, y el hotel es sólo para adultos, eso fue una gran ventaja para nosotros 🤪
