«Insistí en dar esta reseña positiva después de registrarme en el hotel. Aunque sigo viajando y bastante cansado, me siento increíblemente afortunado de haber reservado esta casa de huéspedes en este viaje tan incierto.
La verdad es que no tenía grandes expectativas para una casa de huéspedes; la comodidad era mi principal preocupación. Pero después de registrarme, descubrí que superó con creces mis expectativas. En primer lugar, el hotel estaba muy limpio. En segundo lugar, el dueño fue increíblemente amable y nos brindó un servicio excelente, esforzándose por satisfacer todas nuestras necesidades sin dudarlo ni poner excusas. The cons of this place is that, no DiDi can pick/drop you directly in front of the hotel. You need to walk to the nearest Gate and only can book the DiDi then. Plus, make sure you check the maps properly cause we went to routes with many stairs, very tiring!»

«在高鐵上給的評價，這次帶的父母一家出遊，梧桐小院是我們這次旅途中最滿意的住宿，由開始訂房到入住一直與店家有保持溝通，提的問題回覆速度很快，態度很友善很耐心。第二天還幫我們尋找接送的車，給我們免費升級了房間，民宿整體很温馨，給人舒服寧靜的感覺。叫外賣也很方便，能送上門。老闆也會推薦當地美食，和遊玩攻略，很貼心，床品很舒適，乾淨，在這裏睡眠質量很好，房間的落地窗，採光和視野很好，看蒼山，晚上還能看星星，還能拍出大片。小院子我們都是非常喜歡，來大理前我做了大量的攻略，住宿方面我有個要求是想尋找一間小院子很美的民宿，剛來的兩天下雨，適合在小院子發呆看雨。
臨正前老闆娘還給我們當地的甲馬冰箱貼，很喜歡。
地理位置雖然離古城中心需要8分鐘的小電驢車程，還算不錯，打車也就3-5分鐘，也算方便，重點是去到洱海也就5分鐘，中心位置這個車程距離性價比非常高。非常的推薦！

UUsuario invitadoThis stay is the best ever. Not only is the guesthouse clean and beautifully located right across from Erhai Lake. But what impressed me most was the hospitality and service—especially from Joy. From picking us up at the train station, to helping us arrange an EV bike rental (even though we eventually decided not to), to personally taking us to dinner and recommending dishes, trusting us with her dog Hamburg, and specially arranging for us to be dropped off at the station when we left even though she was busy with work. Joy made sure everything was well taken care of. She is a true asset to the guesthouse: friendly, sincere in her kind gestures without expecting anything in return, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. What we admire most is that Joy treats her dog as a family member. She is truly a person filled with loving kindness and will always be blessed for this.
The part we appreciated most was getting to spend quality time with her dog, Hamburg, who brought us so much happiness and filled our days with joy. Hamburg is a loving dog with a heart of gold. Anyone especially dog lovers would truly fall in love with him. Together, Joy and Hamburg make the best combination. They brought smiles and joy to us. They are the real assets of the place. We hope they will be greatly rewarded.

Great hospitality was also shown by others on the team. Miki served us breakfast every morning with a smile and was always at the reception keeping Hamburg company. She not only looks after him but also make sure he is in good hands, safe and happily running about. Miki carried Hamburg to bid us farewell. She also updated us on Hamburg's progress daily, which we greatly appreciated. knowing that he is happy made us happy.👍
Most importantly, the owner, Krystina, made us feel at home and welcomed. She has a warm personality, is friendly, and treats her staff like family. She is also in the midst of learning English for self-improvement. She has the willingness to learn and the kind of down-to-earth attitude that most hotel owners don't. We felt comfortable being with her, and she even hosted a farewell dinner for us. What we love most is that she is an animal lover and even included Hamburg in the dinner. She has a heart full of compassion. We had a great time together, and the night ended with smiles and laughter. We started as strangers but ended as friends.🙂
We were reluctant to leave after three nights, and if given the chance, we would love to extend our stay to a week in the future. This place is truly a gem, thanks to the wonderful management and the people behind it. We will surely recommend friends to your guesthouse—it is a gem hidden in Dali.

We’ve just returned from Dali, and the place we keep thinking about most is this hidden gem at the foot of Cangshan Mountain — Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse.
Oriental aesthetics in every corner
The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere.
The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined.
Comfort with thoughtful details
Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay.
Warm and attentive service
From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore.
The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day.
A peaceful location near the old town
The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature.
More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. If you’re looking to experience the slower, more peaceful side of Dali, this is definitely a place worth staying.

小小美吕Durante mi reciente viaje a Dali, Yunnan, me alojé en Mogu House, en el casco antiguo de Dali, ¡y fue una grata sorpresa! Es una casa de huéspedes muy acogedora y con un trato muy amable ✨🍄
Los dueños fueron increíblemente cálidos y hospitalarios, haciéndome sentir como en casa. Como era mi primera vez en Dali y no conocía la zona, nos ayudaron amablemente a encontrar una maquilladora y una peluquera de confianza. Fueron fantásticas y quedé muy satisfecha con el resultado del maquillaje 👍
El desayuno también estaba incluido en el precio de la habitación; estaba delicioso, casi de calidad de cuatro estrellas, y comí muy a gusto. El personal de la casa de huéspedes fue muy atento, rellenando nuestras botellas de agua con frecuencia para que no tuviéramos que preocuparnos por quedarnos sin agua. ¡Estos detalles tan considerados hicieron que la experiencia fuera aún mejor! 💧

Alojarse en Mogu House, en el casco antiguo de Dali, fue como sentirse como en casa, más que como registrarse en un hotel.
Desde el momento en que llegamos, los dueños nos recibieron con una calidez que hizo que todo fuera fácil y acogedor. Como visitábamos Dali por primera vez, al principio estábamos un poco perdidos, pero amablemente nos ayudaron a contratar a una maquilladora, y resultó ser una grata sorpresa (¡no nos arrepentimos en absoluto!).
Las mañanas comenzaban con un desayuno sencillo pero delicioso, incluido en la estancia, que nos brindaba una agradable sensación de felicidad. Durante toda nuestra estancia, el personal siempre estuvo atento: se aseguraban de que tuviéramos suficiente agua y se ocupaban de pequeños detalles sin que tuviéramos que pedirlos.
No es solo un lugar para alojarse, sino un lugar donde te sientes querido.

Pemilik sangat mesra, siap bantu cari jurusolek yang bagus (¡memang tak mengecewakan!). Sarapan juga sedap dan staf sentiasa prihatin, buat kita rasa dijaga sepanjang perjalanan.

Not only was the location amazing (the hotel overlooks the Erhai and Cangshan, making breakfasts and any meals eaten extremely picturesque and peaceful) but the staff was incredibly kind, doing everything they could to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. On the day of our arrival, a staff came to pick us up from the taxi and carried our luggage to the hotel, making sure we wouldn't get lost. On our last day, another staff member took us to the bus station, carrying our bags and waiting until the bus came to pick us up. The hotel is located just off the main street, still next to the main shopping area, but allowing for a more quiet and peaceful environment. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the furniture to the rooms to the plants. We would highly recommend coming to this hotel, and we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for making our trip so wonderful and welcoming, Cloud House! Appreciate you!!!

Como el mismo tipo de habitación estaba completo, tuvimos que cambiarnos de habitación en la planta superior al día siguiente. El dueño fue increíblemente amable y siempre se ofreció a ayudarnos a llevar nuestras maletas grandes. ¡Era una persona muy amable! Una noche, mi novio se sentía mal por el mal de altura y le escribió al dueño. Este respondió al instante, nos trajo cilindros de oxígeno y mostró una preocupación constante. ¡Nos conmovió profundamente! Todas las mañanas, el desayuno consistía en fideos de arroz calientes recién hechos, ¡que estaban deliciosos! La habitación también era espaciosa y limpia. Está convenientemente ubicado cerca del mercado de March Street, perfecto para ir de compras, y también cerca del casco antiguo. ¡Puedes alquilar patinetes eléctricos al dueño! ¡Incluso hay una mesa de billar abajo para entretenerte! Me gusta el ambiente general del hotel. La habitación es muy espaciosa y hay una bañera grande para relajarse por la noche. Es bastante relajado. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

UUsuario invitadoLa experiencia en AnYu fue perfecta. El hotel está ubicado en la ciudad antigua. Los taxis y Uber pueden aparcar justo delante de la entrada, a diferencia de otros hoteles de la ciudad antigua donde hay que caminar desde la calle principal, lo cual es increíblemente práctico.
La decoración de estilo Nanyang es retro y exquisita. Cada mueble y elemento decorativo está elegido con mucho gusto, ¡incluso la caja del extintor! El ambiente es excelente y el sistema de música BOSE está presente en todo el edificio. Secador de pelo Dyson, diferentes tipos de cables de carga en la mesita auxiliar... cada detalle refleja la atención al detalle.
Desde el exquisito té de la tarde y el tentempié nocturno (caldo de setas blancas o leche caliente) hasta el desayuno de alta cocina, cada detalle está cuidado a la perfección y todo es gratuito.
Muchas gracias al personal, que cumple con los estándares de un hotel internacional de 5 estrellas o más. Su hermosa sonrisa te hace sentir como en casa, ¡y sin duda preparan el mejor café de Dali!

Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

RRoselynn HuynhThis hotel is honestly so photogenic, perfect for Instagram :)) There are flowers everywhere and the whole place has a very calm, chill vibe.
Their service was really impressive. They contacted us one day before our stay and even arranged a driver to pick us up from Dali train station, which made everything super easy. The butlers were also very helpful, always quick to respond and attentive to anything we needed.
They even gave us a free ride to our next hotel, which was such a nice extra touch. On top of that, they gifted me a cute elephant keychain for good fortune, so thoughtful and memorable.
The location is great too, very convenient to get around.
