With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. Excellent hotel, amazing staff who made us feel very welcome and cared for. Almost perfect apart from missing a mini fridge in the room, lighting in room great for atmosphere but could be helpful to have a brighter option as difficult to see when packing to leave!

Reservé Mengjing Yayuan en línea por dos noches. We stayed here from 12–15 May during our honeymoon and decided to do our Yunnan trip entirely on our own. Dali was our first destination after landing in Kunming the night before, and it turned out to be the perfect start to our journey. Since our train arrived early at around 9:00 AM, I contacted the host a few days in advance to ask if an early check-in would be possible. Not only were they happy to accommodate our request, but they also kindly offered to pick us up from the station. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Mei, who gave us a tour of the property after check-in. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The architecture is absolutely stunning, from the outside, it feels like staying in a beautiful traditional palace within the old town, while the interior is thoughtfully modernized with every comfort you could need. Our room was incredibly spacious, and we especially loved the heated bathroom floors and the bidet, which was a pleasant surprise. There is also a rooftop area where guests can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Guests are given several options, and parts of the menu change daily, which kept things interesting. What we looked forward to most every morning was the amazing yogurt served with homemade rose jam, it was honestly the best we've ever had. We mentioned how much we loved it, and at the end of our stay, Mei surprised us with a jar to take home. Such a thoughtful gesture! Every evening, the hotel served a warm dessert, introducing us to flavors that were completely new yet delicious. We were also treated to a complimentary afternoon tea. To make our honeymoon even more special, Mei and her team surprised us with a personalized cake, which was incredibly touching. The location is very convenient, with several Muslim-friendly eateries within a 10-minute walk, as well as convenience stores nearby. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. Out of all the accommodations we stayed at during our Yunnan trip, this was by far the best. Mei went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, constantly sharing recommendations, travel tips, and local insights to help us make the most of our time in Dali. We genuinely felt cared for throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for honeymooners and newlyweds looking for a memorable and heartfelt experience. InsyaAllah, we will definitely return on our future trips to Dali.

The best experience in Dali. The room is such a dream. The hotel provides everything including biscuits for the seagulls. We are able to feed the seagulls from our room and husband said it’s the best experience ever. The hotel staffs took care of us and everything that we need. They are friendly and helpful. Making sure our stay is comfortable. I’ll definitely recommend and will stay here again probably try another room type when I’m back again. Thank u Ting Hua Island for the hospitality.

¡No tengo ninguna queja sobre este hotel! La ubicación es excelente, a poca distancia a pie de las Tres Pagodas (a 10 minutos a la izquierda) y también de la Puerta Norte del casco antiguo, girando a la derecha a 5-10 minutos en línea recta. Los jardines del hotel y el restaurante tienen vistas a las pagodas. Nuestra habitación era enorme, tranquila y tenía todo lo necesario. Además, contaba con detalles muy bonitos: tazas, vasos, cubiertos, todo muy elegante; servicio de preparación de la cama con leche. El desayuno era muy bueno, no muy abundante, pero tenía muchas especialidades locales y platos occidentales estándar. Sin embargo, probablemente uno de los mayores atractivos del hotel sea Kadi, el gerente general francés (especialmente si eres extranjero). Fue muy atento, nos dio mucha información y conocía muy bien la zona. Nos dio consejos estupendos para visitar los lugares de interés locales, la mejor manera de visitar las pagodas, dónde ir exactamente en el lago Erhai (no los sitios habituales) y nos sugirió lugares realmente buenos para comer; solo hay que seguir sus recomendaciones. Incluso consiguió que el chef nos preparara ensalada de pétalos de rosa para el desayuno, ya que los días que estuvimos allí no la ofrecían. El resto del personal también fue genial; aunque no hablaban inglés (excepto Kadi), todos respondieron rápidamente en WeChat. ¡Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado más de dos días, Dali tiene mucho que ofrecer!

1. La zona de facturación, es decir, la recepción, estaba bastante deteriorada; el teclado del ordenador estaba prácticamente desgastado. El sofá de al lado era aún peor, con un aspecto muy antihigiénico. 2. Comidas: La zona de desayuno era estrecha, solo cuatro mesas pequeñas en la calle. Si viajan en grupos de más de dos personas, tendrán que sentarse separados o quizás esperar de pie. Sin embargo, el café estaba bueno. Solo desayuné una vez: una ensalada fría de quinoa (ver foto 6), servida con un pan con un sabor a crema. Tenía ganas de comer fideos de arroz al día siguiente, pero era demasiado tarde: ¡no empezaron a servir hasta las 8:30! Tenía mucha hambre. Los madrugadores y quienes prefieren la comida caliente deberían pensarlo bien y buscar otros planes. 3. Habitación en el segundo piso - Problema de ruido: No esperen dormir por la noche. Incluso después de las 23:00, todavía se oía ruido en la calle, además del traqueteo de los camiones de basura (¡un consejo: no cometan la insensatez de quedarse en el casco antiguo!). Al día siguiente, llovió a cántaros antes del amanecer, y el sonido de la lluvia me impidió dormir. 4. Habitación - Problema con las instalaciones: La habitación en la que me alojé era supuestamente la más tranquila de todo el hotel, con una bañera grande y una zona de ducha y aseo separada. Incapaz de aceptar la falta de una ducha separada, planeé ducharme en la bañera, solo para descubrir dos problemas: 1. El cristal era completamente transparente, sin cortinas ni cristal esmerilado; el personal dijo que era parte del ”diseño”; 2. La bañera no salía agua, jaja 😄 5. Habitación - Problema con el olor: Había un olor a humedad nada más entrar. El personal dijo que era por la ”madera sin tratar”, ¡y seguía oliendo después de 8 años! Muy gracioso. 6. Personal: Antes incluso de registrarme, me pidieron que cancelara a través de la plataforma, pagara la habitación por separado y me ofrecieron un precio con descuento. Hay pruebas escritas de ello; es un campo minado, ¿verdad? ¡Se atrevieron a mencionarlo! 7. Personal: Todo el personal era amable, pero no esperaba que el personal de Jixia Mountain fuera tan joven. No llevaban uniforme ni supervisores, y parecían muy descuidados e informales. 8. Servicio de limpieza: Quedé bastante satisfecho. Ver las mantas y las toallas me tranquilizó. Las almohadas también eran bastante buenas. Las instalaciones del hotel son muy antiguas. Incluso después de limpiar los azulejos del baño, seguían luciendo ruinosos, además de la tenue luz del baño. Así que creo que el servicio de limpieza aquí es realmente duro. 9. Estructura del edificio: Por la mañana, llovía a cántaros. Cuando abrí la puerta en el segundo piso, el agua me llegaba prácticamente a los talones. Es bastante sorprendente que no inundara la habitación. Por la noche, no había luz, así que me costó encontrar el camino de vuelta a la habitación en la oscuridad del pasillo. Es bastante difícil para alguien que no recuerda las indicaciones (ver imágenes 1-2). 10. Instalaciones del hotel: Anoche, oí al huésped de al lado volver porque no podía abrir la habitación con la llave. Tuvo que llamar a un miembro del personal para pedir ayuda. Estaban hablando en inglés fuera de la puerta, y el miembro del personal finalmente le dio un truco al huésped: ”La llave tiene que ser xxx, esta cerradura tiene que ser xxx...”. ¡Es demasiado problema! ¡Incluso volver a la habitación requiere un truco! 11. Detalles suaves: Un enorme trozo de cuero colgaba de la llave, sin ninguna consideración hacia los viajeros con poco espacio para el equipaje después de largos viajes. ¿Quién lleva un bulto tan grande? Tenía grandes expectativas sobre la línea de productos Jixiashan. Me enteré de su colaboración con Kolon en la sucursal de Meili en Shangri-La, y pensé que sería bastante elegante. Esta sucursal del casco antiguo de Dali fue la primera, pero resultó tener este nivel de calidad. Dado el precio diario promedio, entiendo por qué. Esta tienda no se encuentra en el miniprograma de Jixiashan; está categorizada como ”Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Qu”.

This hotel is honestly so photogenic, perfect for Instagram :)) There are flowers everywhere and the whole place has a very calm, chill vibe. Their service was really impressive. They contacted us one day before our stay and even arranged a driver to pick us up from Dali train station, which made everything super easy. The butlers were also very helpful, always quick to respond and attentive to anything we needed. They even gave us a free ride to our next hotel, which was such a nice extra touch. On top of that, they gifted me a cute elephant keychain for good fortune, so thoughtful and memorable. The location is great too, very convenient to get around.

La pequeña ventana da al acuario, y tuvimos la suerte de estar en el tercer piso, donde veíamos con frecuencia bancos de peces y tortugas marinas. ¡Los niños estaban súper emocionados! A la mañana siguiente, también pudimos bucear en el acuario contiguo (una actividad gratuita del hotel, valorada en 380 yuanes). El servicio de atención al cliente y los instructores fueron muy amables. Pagamos 200 yuanes adicionales por la filmación submarina y la interacción con la habitación. ¡Vídeos realmente preciosos que bien valen la pena! Limpieza: Impecable. Incluso los vasos de cristal del enjuague bucal eran cristalinos y seguros de usar. Entorno: Ubicado en las montañas, rodeado de zonas residenciales de lujo en construcción. Usamos taxis y Didi (servicios de transporte) para desplazarnos. Servicio: ¡Excelente! Como nos alojamos durante el Festival del Medio Otoño, el mayordomo nos informó con antelación sobre un evento del Festival del Medio Otoño en el vestíbulo con regalos. Lamentablemente, teníamos la agenda apretada y no regresamos del casco antiguo de Dali hasta después de las 23:00, perdiéndonos el evento. Las dos recepcionistas nos esperaron para registrarnos e incluso nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje a nuestra habitación en la tercera planta. ¡Un servicio excelente! Lo que es aún más sorprendente es la amplia variedad de bebidas del minibar, que incluyen café, leche Want Want, cola, Sprite y té helado, todo gratis. También hay una selección de frutas de bienvenida con granada, manzana, pera y azufaifo, perfecta para disfrutar de la fruta y observar los peces antes de medianoche para celebrar el Festival del Medio Otoño.
