«Insistí en dar esta reseña positiva después de registrarme en el hotel. Aunque sigo viajando y bastante cansado, me siento increíblemente afortunado de haber reservado esta casa de huéspedes en este viaje tan incierto.
La verdad es que no tenía grandes expectativas para una casa de huéspedes; la comodidad era mi principal preocupación. Pero después de registrarme, descubrí que superó con creces mis expectativas. 我們整個行程充滿了驚喜，反向出行就是這麼爽，而且酒店我都是提前一天才選定，因為大理的民宿太多啦，連鎖酒店基本看不到。所以我都暫定一天，入住後根據次日的安排、我們的狀態和服務環境再決定續住與否。
大理古城是務必打卡的，所以我們又遷居到附近的酒店，也是提前一天各種搜尋對比選下的——這次是星空套房……大概是運氣不好吧，來大理的第三天就開始陰雨天氣，所以我們的夜衹有烏雲，沒有星星，而且酒店門口都是環繞中庭，有個瀑布造景，貌似我聽了一夜淅淅瀝瀝的雨聲…而且真心話，獨自帶娃一定不要選loft户型，基本上娃走哪我跟哪，半刻不敢鬆懈。而且諾大的房間放了個小到可憐的又很臟熙熙的貴妃榻（抱歉我不得已墊了個浴巾，要不然一樓客廳我們沒地方坐啊、二樓大床前還沒有電視）大概以後堅決不定loft户型了，太太不方便了！
所以趁着第二天同户型沒房了趕緊換了一樓的雙標，雖然小點，但也算舒服，衹是可能因為下雨，我總聞到一股煙味，客服小哥説是薰香（那我強烈要求換個香型啊，太難聞了） 這間雖然有個小院子直通後面的大泳池，但我完全不放心啊，衹好鎖起來。
早餐，這家應該是我吃的比較難吃的一家，而且酒店不提供任何免費飲品小吃。兩個酒店小哥可能也是i人，服務算可以吧但覺不熱情，最好別期待他們提供周邊旅遊的建議，有那個攀談的精力不如自己搜尋或者跟旅客們交流。整體來説中規中矩，大概就佔了距離古城較勁的便利，大概就是馬路對面，不過門前的馬路比較寬，路中間的隔離綠化又不方便通過，我們去古鎮南門也是打車去的。
另外，可能臨近暑假陸續放假了，房源開始緊俏，如果有其他選擇，這家不算強推，大家可以根據實際期間自行對比選擇。»

Alojarse en Mogu House, en el casco antiguo de Dali, fue como sentirse como en casa, más que como registrarse en un hotel.
Desde el momento en que llegamos, los dueños nos recibieron con una calidez que hizo que todo fuera fácil y acogedor. Como visitábamos Dali por primera vez, al principio estábamos un poco perdidos, pero amablemente nos ayudaron a contratar a una maquilladora, y resultó ser una grata sorpresa (¡no nos arrepentimos en absoluto!).
Las mañanas comenzaban con un desayuno sencillo pero delicioso, incluido en la estancia, que nos brindaba una agradable sensación de felicidad. Durante toda nuestra estancia, el personal siempre estuvo atento: se aseguraban de que tuviéramos suficiente agua y se ocupaban de pequeños detalles sin que tuviéramos que pedirlos.

But what impressed me most was the hospitality and service—especially from Joy. From picking us up at the train station, to helping us arrange an EV bike rental (even though we eventually decided not to), to personally taking us to dinner and recommending dishes, trusting us with her dog Hamburg, and specially arranging for us to be dropped off at the station when we left even though she was busy with work. Joy made sure everything was well taken care of. She is a true asset to the guesthouse: friendly, sincere in her kind gestures without expecting anything in return, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. What we admire most is that Joy treats her dog as a family member. She is truly a person filled with loving kindness and will always be blessed for this.
The part we appreciated most was getting to spend quality time with her dog, Hamburg, who brought us so much happiness and filled our days with joy. Hamburg is a loving dog with a heart of gold. Anyone especially dog lovers would truly fall in love with him. Together, Joy and Hamburg make the best combination. They brought smiles and joy to us. They are the real assets of the place. We hope they will be greatly rewarded.

Great hospitality was also shown by others on the team. Miki served us breakfast every morning with a smile and was always at the reception keeping Hamburg company. She not only looks after him but also make sure he is in good hands, safe and happily running about. Miki carried Hamburg to bid us farewell. She also updated us on Hamburg's progress daily, which we greatly appreciated. knowing that he is happy made us happy.👍
Most importantly, the owner, Krystina, made us feel at home and welcomed. She has a warm personality, is friendly, and treats her staff like family. She is also in the midst of learning English for self-improvement. She has the willingness to learn and the kind of down-to-earth attitude that most hotel owners don't. We felt comfortable being with her, and she even hosted a farewell dinner for us. What we love most is that she is an animal lover and even included Hamburg in the dinner. She has a heart full of compassion. We had a great time together, and the night ended with smiles and laughter. We started as strangers but ended as friends.🙂
We were reluctant to leave after three nights, and if given the chance, we would love to extend our stay to a week in the future. This place is truly a gem, thanks to the wonderful management and the people behind it. We will surely recommend friends to your guesthouse—it is a gem hidden in Dali.

Ubicación: El hotel goza de una excelente ubicación en la orilla sur del lago Erhai. Basta con una excursión de un día en coche para explorar la ruta oeste y otro día para explorar la ruta este. Se puede dar de comer a las gaviotas justo abajo y dar un paseo en barco. El transporte es extremadamente práctico. La ubicación del hotel en la orilla sur del lago Erhai, con vistas desde la ventana orientada al norte, crea la ilusión de estar en la orilla del mar, dada la considerable distancia entre las orillas norte y sur.

La ubicación está cerca de Ideal State, a unos 20 minutos en auto desde el aeropuerto y puedes caminar hasta la playa. El hotel cuenta con servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto o la estación. Me gusta el ambiente general del hotel. La habitación es muy espaciosa y hay una bañera grande para relajarse por la noche. Es bastante relajado. La característica del hotel es que la terraza de la azotea es perfecta para tomar fotografías del atardecer y la vista al mar es muy hermosa. El ambiente vacacional está pleno y las fotos son realmente buenas. Hermanas, no se lo pierdan~

Location – unbeatable and worry-free
The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

Rric123The guest house owners were very initiative. They picked us up from the Dali Railway station. The rooms were clean. Since there are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we had a big room and a smaller room joined together with 2 large beds. The view was amazing.
Upon arrival, it was 4.45pm, and we asked for recommendations of where to eat. However, since it's neither dinner nor lunch time, the owner Mr Hao suggested that we eat in the guesthouse itself. The guest house auntie cooked for us the best rice noodles that we have eaten so far. Springy white noodles in a bowl of hot flavourful broth. My kids slurped it all up and polished the whole big bowl.
When we asked for recommendations on local eating places, Mr Hao gave us a whole list of his specially curated food places, which we managed to try 2 of them. And indeed they were good.
The downside was that there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room. But they said they will make it for us and can send it to our rooms. They mentioned that they have a tea room. And so we enjoyed the 2 types of brewed puer tea while Mr Hao explained a little about the tea.
Personally, I feel that since they have a special tea room to enjoy tea, sending sachet or tea bags would be inappropriate and a disrespect to the art of enjoying Puer tea.
Location wise, it has a good view of the lake. And it's quiet. It's not exactly near the old town but we took a taxi (20 mins) to the old town. Thankfully, we didn't stay at the old town as it's way too crowded, and we felt it's a tourist trap. However, near the guest house, there were many highly recommended restaurants.
The guest house has a dining area on the 1st floor. One thing that I really enjoyed about this place is the dining area. The lady that cooked the meal for us looked like a typical chinese grandma (which reminded me of my late grandma) that she cooked the food so deliciously with passion. While we had our breakfast she would sit at another table, she wasnt staring , just casually sitting while browsing her phone or ensuring we finish our food but her presence reminded me of when my late grandma would sit and watch us eat to ensure we have no leftovers. Lol. It was an oddly familiar and nostalgic feeling that we laughed about. But we do get the homey feel, which we really liked. The guest house also had a laundry room for guests to use.
The guest house owners were very initiative, friendly, and helpful. Anything we need, we just let Mr Hao know, and he would reply. He even offered to send us back to the highway station.
It's definitely highly recommended. And I would ask my friends that should they come to Dali, they should stay in this place. It's just perfect for us.

Estaba en un callejón frente a la ciudad antigua y todavía estaba bastante lejos de la puerta de la ciudad antigua. diez minutos para que llegara el coche eléctrico.
