«Overall it was a good experience. Breakfasts are good, service is also good, but nobody in fact speaks english (although the opposite is written in the hotel description), so we always had to use a translator (though it’s no problem).
The room was quite clean, except for the edge of the shower stall and windows that haven't been cleaned from the outside for a long time. And the carpet in the corridor needs to be changed (i don’t think it can be cleaned anymore).
I wouldn’t recommend using the bikes, they are very uncomfortable…»

UUsuario invitado一般是不評價的，但是入住體驗非常不錯。首先是老闆，真的很細心，提前就詢問我們各種，知道我們是自駕並且開電車，提前把自己的車堵在充電口停車位以防別人來停，周邊車位緊張的情況下我們到了也能立馬停車。其次房間，我們訂的套房，看圖片其中一個房間本以為會很小，但是兩間都很大，並且衞生環境設施真的無可挑剔，百分之90商家客房圖片都會貨不對版，但他們家真的很真實。最後來説位置和服務，位置出街就是一整條小吃街，想吃什麼都有了，離南門很近，其次老闆人很好，很細心，我們聊的很投機，知道我的愛好後還給送了對我來説很珍貴的禮物。兩衹小貓也真的很好擼。總之鎖死。沒得挑。

JJovin_WongI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way.
Location – unbeatable and worry-free
The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

The property is located within a short walking distance from the DiDi pick-up and drop-off point. There are also cafés and bicycle rental shops nearby, adding convenience without making the area feel overcrowded or noisy.
Closer to the check‑in date, guests receive a message asking them to add the hotel’s WeChat account, where the staff will explain the meeting point for pick‑up, as external vehicles are not allowed to enter the ecological corridor. This process is well managed and easy to follow.

UUsuario invitadoAlojarse en el B&B junto al lago Erhai fue una experiencia inolvidable. La habitación estaba equipada con un sistema inteligente que permitía controlar fácilmente las luces, las cortinas y el aire acondicionado con la voz. Por la noche, tumbado en la suave cama king size, podías atenuar las luces con un simple comando y disfrutar de la luz de las estrellas que brillaba en el lago a través de los ventanales, ¡un ambiente lleno de tecnología!
El personal de recepción fue increíblemente atento. Desde el té caliente que nos sirvieron al registrarnos hasta sus pacientes explicaciones sobre guías turísticas cercanas, cada detalle nos hizo sentir como en casa. La habitación daba al inmenso lago, con ventanales que dejaban entrar el sol durante todo el día y la suave brisa del lago. Al abrir la ventana, se podía oír el agua rompiendo contra la orilla, como si la dulzura del lago Erhai llegara directamente a la habitación.
El desayuno era fresco y delicioso, con una variedad de coloridas frutas de temporada. Disfrutarlo en el balcón junto al lago, con el resplandeciente lago frente a ti y el canto de los pájaros en tus oídos, ¡te hacía querer irte! Por la noche, la calma del lago bajo las estrellas era tan apacible como un espejo, y dormirse con el suave sonido del viento fue simplemente un viaje de ensueño y sanación. ¡Muy recomendable para quienes buscan tranquilidad, comodidad y un servicio atento!

UUsuario anónimo1. La zona de facturación, es decir, la recepción, estaba bastante deteriorada; el teclado del ordenador estaba prácticamente desgastado. El sofá de al lado era aún peor, con un aspecto muy antihigiénico.
2. Comidas: La zona de desayuno era estrecha, solo cuatro mesas pequeñas en la calle. Si viajan en grupos de más de dos personas, tendrán que sentarse separados o quizás esperar de pie. Sin embargo, el café estaba bueno.
Solo desayuné una vez: una ensalada fría de quinoa (ver foto 6), servida con un pan con un sabor a crema. Tenía ganas de comer fideos de arroz al día siguiente, pero era demasiado tarde: ¡no empezaron a servir hasta las 8:30! Tenía mucha hambre. Los madrugadores y quienes prefieren la comida caliente deberían pensarlo bien y buscar otros planes.
3. Habitación en el segundo piso - Problema de ruido: No esperen dormir por la noche. Incluso después de las 23:00, todavía se oía ruido en la calle, además del traqueteo de los camiones de basura (¡un consejo: no cometan la insensatez de quedarse en el casco antiguo!). Al día siguiente, llovió a cántaros antes del amanecer, y el sonido de la lluvia me impidió dormir.
4. Habitación - Problema con las instalaciones: La habitación en la que me alojé era supuestamente la más tranquila de todo el hotel, con una bañera grande y una zona de ducha y aseo separada. Incapaz de aceptar la falta de una ducha separada, planeé ducharme en la bañera, solo para descubrir dos problemas: 1. El cristal era completamente transparente, sin cortinas ni cristal esmerilado; el personal dijo que era parte del ”diseño”; 2. La bañera no salía agua, jaja 😄
5. Habitación - Problema con el olor: Había un olor a humedad nada más entrar. El personal dijo que era por la ”madera sin tratar”, ¡y seguía oliendo después de 8 años! Muy gracioso.
6. Personal: Antes incluso de registrarme, me pidieron que cancelara a través de la plataforma, pagara la habitación por separado y me ofrecieron un precio con descuento. Hay pruebas escritas de ello; es un campo minado, ¿verdad? ¡Se atrevieron a mencionarlo!
7. Personal: Todo el personal era amable, pero no esperaba que el personal de Jixia Mountain fuera tan joven. No llevaban uniforme ni supervisores, y parecían muy descuidados e informales.
8. Servicio de limpieza: Quedé bastante satisfecho. Ver las mantas y las toallas me tranquilizó. Las almohadas también eran bastante buenas. Las instalaciones del hotel son muy antiguas. Incluso después de limpiar los azulejos del baño, seguían luciendo ruinosos, además de la tenue luz del baño. Así que creo que el servicio de limpieza aquí es realmente duro.
9. Estructura del edificio: Por la mañana, llovía a cántaros. Cuando abrí la puerta en el segundo piso, el agua me llegaba prácticamente a los talones. Es bastante sorprendente que no inundara la habitación. Por la noche, no había luz, así que me costó encontrar el camino de vuelta a la habitación en la oscuridad del pasillo. Es bastante difícil para alguien que no recuerda las indicaciones (ver imágenes 1-2).
10. Instalaciones del hotel: Anoche, oí al huésped de al lado volver porque no podía abrir la habitación con la llave. Tuvo que llamar a un miembro del personal para pedir ayuda. Estaban hablando en inglés fuera de la puerta, y el miembro del personal finalmente le dio un truco al huésped: ”La llave tiene que ser xxx, esta cerradura tiene que ser xxx...”. ¡Es demasiado problema! ¡Incluso volver a la habitación requiere un truco!
11. Detalles suaves: Un enorme trozo de cuero colgaba de la llave, sin ninguna consideración hacia los viajeros con poco espacio para el equipaje después de largos viajes. ¿Quién lleva un bulto tan grande?
Tenía grandes expectativas sobre la línea de productos Jixiashan. Me enteré de su colaboración con Kolon en la sucursal de Meili en Shangri-La, y pensé que sería bastante elegante. Esta sucursal del casco antiguo de Dali fue la primera, pero resultó tener este nivel de calidad. Dado el precio diario promedio, entiendo por qué. Esta tienda no se encuentra en el miniprograma de Jixiashan; está categorizada como ”Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Qu”.

Las instalaciones sanitarias están completas, hay asientos de ocio en la puerta, con frutas frescas y platos, muy intimidad. El jefe presentó con entusiasmo las atracciones y los alimentos cercanos, explicando con antelación la insuficiencia de aislamiento de la puerta de madera, y vivimos dos días sin sentir el ruido que afecta al sueño.

KKN1311We took a Didi taxi from Dali High-Speed Railway Station to Huafang Guniang Bar (Flower House Girl Bar). Normally, the trip takes about 45 minutes, but because of heavy traffic, it ended up taking us around 90 minutes. When booking a Didi taxi, it’s important to be careful with this destination since there’s another place with the same name in Lijiang city. Also, it’s better not to use “Bu Xian Shan” as the destination, because this can confuse the driver.
When we arrived, the guesthouse staff, Zhou Zhou and Xiao Peng, were already waiting for us. They kindly guided us to the guesthouse by walking which was only about a three-minute walk away. They even helped us download an English version of the local map, Amap which was really thoughtful and made it much easier for us to get around. On top of that, they told us about local activities and food options, which was super helpful.
The guesthouse has a really great location. It’s very close to Yu’er Road, which is one of the busiest and most popular streets in Dali Ancient City. Other well-known nearby streets include Renmin Road, Fuxing Road, and Huguo Road, which is also called Foreigner Street. Being so close to these main streets makes exploring the city really convenient.
There are plenty of restaurants near the guesthouse, so you won’t have trouble finding somewhere to eat. Some of the nearby places even offer BBQ, which is really convenient if you want a casual meal without going far.
The room that we booked was big and had a spa and mountain view. Unfortunately, the built-in jets that created massaging, bubbling streams were not working.
There was a free-wifi but the signal was weak in our room.

TthewanderlustI give 100/100 for the hospitality. The host was very friendly and was ready to help with anything. They also gave us lots of free snacks and hot drinks.
Room was spacious, suitable for family. The cleanliness was top tier, with plenty of amenities provided. We have a 3 years old with us, the host was so kind to provide us kids toothbrush and slippers.
The location was also very convenient. Only 3-4 mins walk to the gate of Dali Ancient City. Overall, this hotel was very recommended to the fellow tourists like us :)
