The room we booked had a stunning sea view, and we loved spending time on the balcony, just relaxing and soaking in the scenery. A thoughtful touch was the welcome fruits and pastries provided upon check-in. The room itself was high-tech with a smart system, allowing us to control the lights, curtains, and more with just our voice—such a cool feature! UUsuario invitadoEste fue el perfecto comienzo de nuestra primera viaje a China el hotel estaba justo al lado del lago erhai y las vistas del café y las habitaciones fueron fantásticos. Las habitaciones son muy limpias y están equipadas con modernas y buenas instalaciones (especialmente el café hotel que sirve café (cada invitado puede pagar 1x de café y congeladores de helado y snacks de cornetto ilimitados del café). También es un paseo de ~6 minutos a pie de una tienda de bicicletas familiar donde los turistas pueden alquilar una bicicleta de (20 yuan por un día completo) (existen alquiler-como-y-y-bikes a lo largo de la zona también, pero necesitan un tarjeta de identificación china para que pueda reservar).
El hotel está muy bien situado, y el personal está muy atento. El hotel está en una zona de granja, donde se puede encontrar un buen lugar para el hotel. (algunos pequeños tomates de manzana y cerveza) en el lobby del hotel que se almacenó durante el día.
Fantástico estadía. (We had entered another hotel further down the same stretch for a coffee and that other hotel’s coffee and cleanliness paled in comparison; made us very grateful that we had booked this hotel instead). 10/10!

JJovin_WongI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way.
Location – unbeatable and worry-free
The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

El hotel está construido en la zona pintoresca de la antigua ciudad de Yunnan. La ubicación es excelente. ¡Es el hotel que quiero! Servicio atento: el personal de servicio del hotel tiene muy buena actitud, desde el personal de recogida, los mayordomos hasta muchos miembros del personal de servicio, se sentirá como en casa. UUsuario invitadoNos recibieron con mucha calidez; un conductor nos recogió en la estación de tren. La habitación era muy limpia, espaciosa y tranquila. El baño era precioso, tal como se veía en las fotos (incluso mejor). Tenía una vista preciosa de Cangshan.
El hotel cuenta con un bonito estanque con decenas de peces y una terraza llena de flores, ideal para relajarse. No se pierdan las vistas desde la azotea: son magníficas.
El desayuno era completo y típico de la zona. La gerente es muy atenta y amable, y el hecho de poder usar su scooter eléctrica es muy práctico para moverse por la zona, especialmente para ir al lago.
También nos puso en contacto con un servicio de coche compartido para ir a Shaxi.
En resumen, una excelente relación calidad-precio. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

KKatherineliewtanWe stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

Nivel de higiene: ***** Durante mi viaje a Yunnan, sentí que Yanxiuge era uno de los B&B más higiénicos. Personalmente tengo altos requisitos de higiene. Puedo contar un poco sobre el proceso de eliminación y limpieza del agua en la ducha. Yan Xiuge cumplió con mis requisitos.

UUsuario invitadoWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
