«I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Stray Birds Taichung Hostel! This is hands down one of the best hostels I've ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the modern, clean, and stylish atmosphere .
The location is perfect – it's within walking distance of the Park Lane by CMP shopping area, the Calligraphy Greenway, and the National Museum of Natural Science . There are tons of great restaurants, cafes, and even a 7-11 and Starbucks right across the street, which was super convenient .
The hostel itself is spotlessly clean . The beds are incredibly comfortable and more spacious than your typical hostel bunk, with good privacy . The shared bathrooms and showers were always kept clean, and I loved that they had that separate dry/wet separation .
A huge highlight is the common area and the rooftop terrace . The lounge is spacious, bright, and a great place to relax, work on a laptop, or meet other travelers . The rooftop offers a nice chill-out spot with a view of the city .
The staff were friendly, helpful, and created a really welcoming vibe throughout the hostel . They even offer a simple breakfast of toast and jam in the morning, which is a nice touch .
If you're looking for a clean, modern, and social hostel in a prime Taichung location, look no further. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to any traveler!»

«Es justo lo que cabría esperar. La cápsula para dormir tiene cargador y luz interior, es espaciosa, aunque la cama podría ser un poco más blanda. Dispone de una taquilla grande. El baño está bien, con duchas y buenos secadores de pelo. También hay una zona común con espacio para dejar el equipaje, agua, café y té gratis, y algunas mesas para descansar. Se puede lavar y secar la ropa por 50 NTD cada prenda y comprar una cápsula de detergente en recepción.
La zona por la noche no es la mejor, ya que se puede ver a gente ebria deambulando. Pero aparte de eso, está perfectamente ubicada justo al lado de la estación y a poca distancia a pie, en bicicleta o en autobús de todo.»

YYH_AllenI did not expect this accommodation to be a motel based on its Chinese name, so it was a bit of a surprise when I checked in.
The location is very convenient, which is a big plus. However, the overall environment had a slight smell of cigarette smoke. The room itself was spacious, but for guests arriving on foot, the access route is not very intuitive—you need to go down to the basement first and then enter through the parking garage, which makes the circulation feel somewhat inconvenient.

LLeigh5113Had a great stay! Beautiful lobby, very comfortable room and bed. Loved the mint water in the lobby. Drink voucher on arrival should have included beer — we arrived at 9:30 pm so was not a good time for coffee. Otherwise everything was wonderful!

UUsuario invitadoLa ubicación es perfecta y este hotel ofrece aparcamiento gratuito en el edificio, a unos 200 metros a la vuelta de la esquina. Así que, si conduces, es mejor pedirle a tu pareja que deje todo tu equipaje antes de hacer el check-in. No olvides registrar tu coche antes de disfrutar del aparcamiento ilimitado.
La habitación es un poco más pequeña de lo esperado, pero cabemos todos en esta habitación compacta. Tiene todo lo necesario.

UUsuario anónimoDecent ok hotel, proximity to tai Chung railway station less than 8 mins walk if you go by the correct route and not follow blindly on the google map, breakfast can be missed as really need improvement but good to have as not many eateries nearby, good thing is there is a gang cheng station outside and opposite the hotel which can bring you to two famous night markets - Feng chia and Yi Zhong (better), take bus 25, 33, 35, but expect long distance ride, hotel room wall is too thin so be prepared to be disturbed at all times especially at night, WiFi can be weak at times, one last complain is the no throwing of toilet paper into the toilet bowl as too inconvenient for ladies but at this price of a well renovated hotel room, this is still acceptable

UUsuario anónimoStayed here from 10 Apr to 14 Apr. It is about 10-15mins walk Taichung Railway station. The hotel is within the central district of Taichung (buildings are older here), but the hotel itself looks and feel relatively new and modern. It is conveniently located near lots of food options, and the Taichung Second Market and Miyahara is only about 5-10mins walk away.
The room is clean and spacious. It has a nice modern design too. The basic amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, lotion and hairdryer are provided. Can’t seem to find local channels on the TV but you can use apps like netflix and youtube.
The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast, tea time (if i recall correctly) and supper. The variety is acceptable given that this is not a big hotel. food is decent too. For breakfast there was a mini salad bar, porridge station, various steamed buns, toasts. For supper, there were braised minced meat rice and side dishes, soup, DIY noodle station, steamed buns, toasts, DIY beancurd station, some snacks/tidbits. There is also dessert with red/green bean soup, drinks and ice cream.
Just one minor hiccup - a false fire alarm was trigger at 4am on one of the nights which only affected the higher floors from 9th storey and above. The guests on our storey werent aware if the lift is working or if it is safe to use and we ended up climbing the stairs down, only to find out later that there was no real fire. The affected guests waited at the lounge for about 30mins as the alarm was still ringing. The firemen eventually came and turned off the alarm. The hotel did apologise for the inconvenience by pasting a notice in the lift and informed guests to reach out to them if there are any queries. It would be nice if the hotel can engage the affected guests more directly and possible provide some form of compensation as service recovery.
Nonetheless, still a pleasant stay overall!

Hay muchas tiendas de conveniencia cercanas y dos tiendas vegetarianas ubicadas cerca del hotel y la otra justo en un pasillo al lado del hotel.
Servicios: regala un poco de té y café. Proporciona calentador de agua. Secador de pelo incluido. Toallas proporcionadas. Algunos autoservicio pueden llevar del mostrador una afeitadora de un solo uso, un cepillo y pasta de dientes y calzado de interior. Lavandería de autoservicio cerca del vestíbulo (~60 ********* yuanes)

VVT-El hotel está situado a 3 noches, a 5 minutos a pie de la calle de Yizhong, a 5 minutos a pie de la calle de Yizhong. La única negativa que puedo pensar es que tendrás que duchar en el baño (no hay zona de ducha separada fuera del baño), que puede no ser adecuado para los ancianos. JjocolocoI love the whole vibe of the hotel where it give off this rustic industrial look but the interior of the room is really nice. Front desk was super accommodating when we wanted to upgrade our room but the initial upgraded room was not to our liking and they kindly suggested another room for us to have a look first before we decide on it. we were able to check in an hour earlier as well and was able to keep our luggage at the front desk after check out and return back later to collect. overall an amazing experience with SOF hotel and would definitely come back to stay when im in taichung again

UUsuario anónimoThe room was good and clean. And they offer a self-service laundry- of course you need to pay your laundry which is fare enough. But they don't provide any toothpaste ans toothbrush, which was indicated in their front desk and before booking. I was a bit confused though because I thought the reservation includes breaksfast as stated in the site but when i arrived, i was informed that it wasn't included. But the staffs are kind and helped me booked a taxi going back to the airport at a wee hour. The room i stayed had a window, there's ref and closet with only 2 hangers. The only problem i had was the aircon which was centralized or controlled so when it is cold at night, it is hard to increase the temperature. I couldn't really sleep well.
