Definitely not a 5 star hotel they claim to be on Trip.com. The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered. In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room. Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room. Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests. Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning. The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired. On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

Me alojé en este hotel para celebrar mi cumpleaños y, desde el momento del check-in hasta el final de mi estancia, todo fue maravilloso. Sin duda, este es uno de los mejores hoteles en los que me he alojado en China. El desayuno fue excelente, con una buena variedad de opciones occidentales, y el personal fue amable, atento y genuinamente cortés durante toda mi estancia. Un agradecimiento especial a Nora, quien se aseguró de que todo estuviera a mi gusto y fue increíblemente servicial de principio a fin. Este hotel ofrece lujo y una experiencia de primera clase. Si visitas Qingdao, es una excelente opción y sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. After our one night stay, these are the reasons: The room is absolutely tiny, we paid ¥350 per night which is a total rip off for this size room in this part of china. There were no towels, no hand towels, no floor mat for the shower. They at least provided a disposable towel but it was plasticy and crap at absorbing water. With all hard floors and no floor mats it almost turned the place into a slip and slide🤣 There was half opened toothpaste left in the toilet when we arrived which makes me wonder how clean it actually was. (See picture 3) The room has no key or keycard, with just a number lock of 123456. They might as well have not bothered with a . The room is right next to the communal area, under the stairs with a very poor seal on the door, so other guests chatting and walking around was very very loud, and I woke up in the morning due to the noise of others chatting as they ate their breakfast. Small nitpicks: The room was also very dry and lacked moisture. We may have just been unlucky, but both of us woke up with uncomfortably dry mouths and throats, and while the room says it can fit 2, one person will have the curtain on top of their head due to how cramped it is. Positive things about our stay: The location of the hotel is good, the bed was comfortable.

The staff was welcoming and quick to assist, ensuring a pleasant start to my stay. Their friendliness and professionalism set the tone for a comfortable visit. The room was clean and well-maintained, which immediately provided a sense of comfort and relaxation. I appreciated the simplicity and practicality of the room’s design, which focused on essential amenities. Despite its central location, the hotel offered a peaceful and quiet environment, allowing for uninterrupted rest after a busy day. The pricing of the Yuemingze Hotel is very competitive, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. While the hotel does not offer breakfast, the surrounding area has plenty of dining options to explore, so I didn’t find it to be an inconvenience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Yuemingze Hotel. Its strategic location, alongside the ease of check-in, cleanliness, and serene atmosphere, made it an excellent choice for visitors to Qingdao. It’s ideal for those who prioritize value and quiet without sacrificing comfort. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially if breakfast is not a necessity in your accommodation choice.

Orange Hotel is close to the Qingdao Railway Station and at the corner of the very lovely and lively Zhongshan Road and Shangieli. The room we got had a view of the back sea, it was huge and tidied up daily. There was free laundry and breakfast was filling. The staff was helpful too. Will I come back to this hotel, YES. Be sure to come when the weather is warmer as the entire area the hotel is I assume will become much livelier.

I think this is basic knowledge for front desk staff: a singing bowl session requires a calm, quiet environment, and my session hadn't even ended yet — it wasn't time for the photographer. After my session ended and I could finally check my phone, But when I got to the front desk, The photographer already left because he was in a hurry. But he arrived at 12:45 — and then said he was in a hurry? The front desk staff's poor coordination not only ruined my need for a peaceful healing session, but also made the hotel's ”photographer service” gift completely useless. At first I thought I would come back to stay here again. But after this experience of inefficient coordination, I'll really have to reconsider whether I want to stay here next time.
