El desayuno merece una mención especial, con mucha variedad y la señora encargada es súper atenta y amable, ¡un diez para ella! Un hotel muy bueno, lo recomiendo.»

Está ubicado en un precioso edificio antiguo, muy bien conservado y reformado, y en una ubicación excelente: en el casco antiguo de Xidi, pero un poco más aislado, en una zona más tranquila y menos turística. Nuestra habitación era espaciosa, cómoda y con mucho estilo; incluso tenía un pequeño estudio anexo con escritorio, libros interesantes y una buena tetera y juego de té. La cama era muy cómoda y el baño tenía una bañera muy agradable y un inodoro con agua caliente. Nuestro anfitrión fue encantador y muy atento; vino a recogernos y nos llevó a la estación de autobuses al final de nuestra estancia. Es muy simpático y nos dio buenos consejos para visitar los pueblos de los alrededores. Tiene un perro muy mono y un gato muy cariñoso.
El único inconveniente: la ventana de la habitación da a la carretera principal, así que se oye el ruido de los coches. Aun así, ¡una estancia estupenda!

UUsuario invitadoMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

UUsuario invitadoThe place is beautiful, I am so glad that we choose to stay here. The house is a Chinese ancient style, I feel like I am in Chinese series. The owners are so kind, they came all the ways to the gate to pick us up and helping to carry our 2 big luggages. They also help me with the laundry. We slept very well and the Chinese breakfast is a lot and delicious. They have a dog and she is so cute. I definitely recommend this place.

UUsuario invitadoThe Inn is located inside the Scenic area, the room is clean but relatively small especially the bathroom. The soundproofing is poor as you can hear clearly what’s happening at the next room. The common area at the ground floor is a bit messy. Quite dark at night.
The only plus point is the Inn is located inside the Scenic area.
Actually the Inn’s location is a bit difficult for a traveler to find, if the owner hadn’t come out to fetch me, I wouldn’t have been able to find the Inn at all. Besides that, the pathway at the Scenic area is made of stone, full of potholes and quite dirty, thus it’d be a nightmare to pull a luggage all the way from the bus station to the Inn.
The Scenic area has become too commercial and super crowded, it is impossible to have a nice and quiet stroll to enjoy the scenery. The only time you can have a quiet walk is before 6am morning. I myself will definitely not coming back.

UUsuario invitadoThe Pig’s Inn is a very cozy place that makes you feel like home. Bishan village is far away from the city so I asked the hotel for help with taxi arrangement. Manager Fang Xin (方鑫) gave me the contact to the driver who was always on time and gave me lots of tips about hiking up mount Huang. The room in the hotel was really clean and warm regardless of the very cold weather outside. The hotel staff is super nice, they waited for us with dinner till really late. As my family is really picky when it comes to food Pig’s Inn was a perfect place to eat dinner and breakfast as they made all the dishes according to the needs of my family. In the evening there was a huge spider in our room (came there suddenly), the nice woman form the hotel helped us to remove it from the room. Everything was perfect and our trip was really nice thanks to the Pig’s Inn ☺️
