We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

Title: A perfect blend of tradition and comfort – wish we could have stayed longer! I only had one night at Grand Joli Demeure · Du Bo Lin | Er·Schr Schrödinger Art Hotel (Big Waterwheel Branch), but it was absolutely memorable. The staff reached out right after I booked, which made me feel well taken care of from the start. The hotel itself is a beautiful example of traditional Naxi architecture — the ”three courts and one screen wall” style — and feels incredibly cozy. At the same time, the room features a modern, clean, and textured interior that offers the best of both worlds. What truly made our stay special was the team. Every single staff member was warm, attentive, and thoughtful — they even arranged our transfers. A special shout-out to Qianxi, who was always ready to help, answered all our questions patiently, and gave great recommendations on local attractions and food. We truly felt at home. Loved the little touches: afternoon tea, a sweet soup in the evening, and the chance to make my own sachet by hand. They also offer a tea-cake making experience in the old town, though sadly we didn't have enough time to join. Before we left, they thoughtfully gifted us a lovely little farewell present — such a sweet and heartwarming gesture. Me despertó el primer rayo de sol que se filtraba por la puerta abierta, y lo primero que vi fue la cima plateada de la Montaña Nevada del Dragón de Jade asomando entre las nubes. Nos alojamos en este patio de una casa de huéspedes que conserva el estilo antiguo de las casas Naxi: tejas azules sobre tejas azules, ventanas de madera que reflejan las montañas lejanas y el suave tintineo de las campanillas de viento en los aleros, ligero como un sueño. Por la tarde, sacaba una silla de mimbre al patio, tomaba el sol y pelaba naranjas, viendo cómo las nubes flotaban lentamente desde las cumbres hasta los tejados. Incluso el tiempo se ralentizaba, convirtiéndose en poesía. Por la noche, me dormía arrullado por el viento de la montaña, y mis sueños se llenaban del susurro de los pinos y las estrellas. Al levantarme por la mañana y abrir la ventana, el aire fresco de la montaña nevada se mezclaba con la niebla matutina, y hasta la respiración se sentía pura. Aquí no hay bullicio, solo montañas, nubes, un patio antiguo y días que fluyen lentamente, invitándote a vivir el tiempo de forma tranquila, como un poema. ¡Un buen viaje! Lo recomiendo.

Esta estancia fue muy satisfactoria y cambió significativamente mi percepción de las casas de huéspedes. En primer lugar, la ubicación es excelente, justo al lado de los hoteles InterContinental e Indigo, lo que facilita mucho tomar un taxi. El precio de la habitación era un poco bajo, pero aceptable. Al fin y al cabo, estuvimos viajando constantemente. La ropa de cama era cómoda y la habitación incluso contaba con un sistema de oxigenación, lo que me permitió dormir muy bien todas las noches durante tres noches consecutivas. El desayuno del hotel fue una grata sorpresa, con ingredientes de alta gama como abulón y nido de pájaro, todo preparado con esmero. El único inconveniente podría ser el aislamiento acústico, pero dada la estructura de madera de la habitación, no podíamos esperar mucho más. En general, dormimos bastante bien. Los artículos de tocador eran de buena calidad, de la línea Verbena de L'Occitane, y los baños públicos de la planta baja tenían jabón y loción de manos de Aesop.

Ubicación y vibe: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ El hotel está muy bien situado, a unos minutos a pie de la ciudad antigua de Lijiang y a tres minutos a pie de la piscina de Black Dragon. Subrayaciones: Excelente comida y servicio: El té de la tarde y la sopa de buena noche son deliciosos y cambian diariamente. Estado personalizado: Está invitado a un grupo WeChat para anuncios sobre actividades y consultas opcionales. Grandes instalaciones: Disfruta de la actualización de la habitación libre, el suministro de oxígeno complimentario (disponible a petición) y el gel de ducha de alta calidad y el champú en la habitación limpia y bien equipada. 房間可以説是毫無瑕疵，不知道別人怎麼覺得，反正我是覺得這家客棧，在我的心裏絕對是第一名！這個客棧位置超級好，我朋友來過麗江，但是他定的不是這家，他定的客棧七拐八彎的，出來旅遊行李箱肯定很沉，拖的滿身是汗，但是這裏就不會，離馬路挺近的走了沒多長時間，就到達了。我之前還有一種顧慮，這個客棧離馬路這麼近，會不會位置很偏，不好走到古城景點，答案是絕對不會！     總結幾點：拖行李方便，離景點近，不會吵，而且住的還很舒服！ 希望大家看見我的評價，對你有幫助！而且老闆人還特別好，兩個字“舒心”

La recepcionista fue muy amable. Nos contactó un día antes de nuestra llegada para preguntarnos sobre los detalles de nuestro viaje y nos explicó todo con detalle. También nos ayudó a llevar nuestro equipaje al alojamiento, ya que no se puede acceder en coche. Al estar en la ciudad antigua, solo pudimos ir andando. De regreso, nos llevaron el equipaje al punto de recogida del coche. Nos brindaron un servicio excelente. Si vuelvo a Lijiang, sin duda me alojaré aquí.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel et à shuhe.Le personnel est agréable. Nous tenons à remercier l'ensemble du personnel en particulier la dame qui est venue nous aider pour nos bagages . Il était tard. Nous regrettons de ne pouvoir rester plus longtemps. Merci pour le thé de l'après midi c'était beau et bon ai si que pour la soupe du soir. Quelques remarques cependant: les photos du petit déjeuner ne reflètent en rien la réalité. Il n'y avait ni fruits , ni toasts et le choix était très limité et inchangé pendant les trois jours passés. Nous n'avons donc pas pu déjeuner correctement. Pour ma part, un thé, et des morceaux de patate douce. Mon mari, des oeufs durs et un café J'ai fait remarquer la différence entre les photos du déjeuner sur le site et le vrai déjeuner. Le personnel a fait un effort et nous a apporté des gâteaux traditionnels. Merci. J'aurais espéré quelques fruits , que nous avons fini par acheter nous mêmes et du pain . Une autre remarque concernant la chambre qui était très agréable, décorée avec goût, avec un linge de lit parfaitement propre et un lit douillet. Il y a quelques traces de moisissures dans les pièces d'eau. C'est vraiment dommage. Il faudrait mettre de la faïence peut être. Autre remarque , nous aurions aimé avoir la possibilité d'utiliser une douchette dans les toilettes. Ces remarques se veulent constructives et non pas offensives. Ceci afin de permettre à l'hôtel de s'améliorer. Nous espérons que ce sera le cas pour notre prochain séjour. Merci. Bonne continuation😊.

I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing. Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. It’s quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible. Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars can’t enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—but this is where things went wrong. Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreigner—something I knew wasn’t true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges. Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the “free” oxygen bottle was too small—information the hotel hadn’t mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it. I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didn’t actually see sunrise at the mountain—partly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasn’t designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car. After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menu—just a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didn’t pay for lunch because they knew it wasn’t good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable. Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.

Una posada muy buena que hizo mi viaje más cómodo. La ubicación es excelente. Se tarda cinco minutos en llegar a Mufu y dos pasos en llegar a un restaurante de cadena de alta categoría. La comida para llevar también es bastante completa. Aunque está en un callejón muy concurrido, no hay ruido para dormir. Aunque la posada no es muy grande, hay zonas comunes con sofás a ambos lados, muy convenientes para comer o charlar. Los sofás son mullidos y uno no quiere sentarse después de un día de juego. En cuanto a la higiene, puede que lleve mucho tiempo abierta y algunos espacios pequeños no estén especialmente limpios, pero es aceptable. Lo importante es que hay muchos suministros desechables, alfombrillas de baño, toallas desechables, etc., y las toallas de papel también son gruesas, ¡nada finas ni malolientes!
