Booked this hotel based on good reviews, and it did not disappoint! We walked from Waverly to hotel with 3 huge luggages, it is not far but it is hilly so choose the path that does not involve stairs. Check-in and out is VERY efficient, just mention your name and they will immediately escort u to your apartment. Saw previous reviews saying receptionist is not friendly, but honestly I think they are being efficient and that is just what I needed after a 20-hour journey. I booked the open plan 1-bedroom apartment for us 2 adults and 2 kids. Room is at ground floor with the entrance from outside walkway directly to the living room. This means people walking outside your room will be able to see you, but there are curtains and blinds to block those views. The bedroom does not have doors though, just an entrance from hallway. The apartment is very homey and comfortable to us, we cooked almost every meal, being fully equipped. It has dining table comfortable for 4, and efficient layout. Bathroom is perfect size with sufficient hot water. Heater is working very well. Location is very close to famous victoria street, and near the famous stairs filmed in “One Day”. Used the laundry service and is good. Sainsbury local nearby with 4 mins walk. Overall satisfied and highly recommend.

La verdad que la ubicacion del hotel es inmejorable, esta todo muy limpio y laa camas muy comodas. Las temperaturas algo bajas y falta algun que otro enchufe cerca de la cama( ya que solo hay en un lado). La verdad que pocas quejas, posiblemente si volviera repetiria ahi. El detalle de tener cafe y te gratis es un punto a favor

Las instalaciones del hotel son bastante nuevas y el aparcamiento es muy cómodo. A pesar de su ubicación junto al aeropuerto, es sorprendentemente tranquilo. Las habitaciones tienen un diseño funcional, aunque su tamaño es un poco reducido. El desayuno es aceptable; al fin y al cabo, los desayunos occidentales suelen ser bastante parecidos en todas partes. El servicio es excelente y, como es de esperar de un hotel de cadena, la calidad es consistente y la limpieza impecable.

Ubicación: Excelente Gimnasio: Magnífico Recepción: Muy deficiente. No estuvo a la altura del servicio W que hemos recibido en otros países. Christina no sonreía, parecía que no quería trabajar allí y no nos informó sobre lo que incluía nuestra reserva, como el desayuno ni dónde encontrarlo. Solicitamos la salida tardía a las 14:00, la cual nos fue concedida. Gracias, pero a las 13:40 enviaron a alguien a nuestra puerta para asegurarse de que abandonáramos la habitación. Fue horrible y vergonzoso. ¡Aún no nos han reembolsado el depósito que nos cobraron con la tarjeta de crédito al registrarnos! El desayuno, que era a la carta, estuvo bien y fue lo único bueno que recibimos. Gracias, Ryan, por la recomendación de Dean Village; fuimos y nos encantó. En resumen: Para el precio que pagamos, esta estancia fue una decepción. No volveré a alojarme aquí.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh from 22 February to 26 February 2026 in Room ***. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below the service and housekeeping standards expected of the Marriott brand. 1) 22 February 2026 (Check-in) Upon arrival, I immediately noticed several cleanliness issues with my room. The kettle was dusty and visibly dirty, the shower gel was completely empty, there were noticeable stains on the bed sheets, the shower room floor was unclean, and the shower water pressure was extremely poor. I reported these issues to the front desk on the same day. In addition, during the check-in process, the staff did not provide any information about hotel amenities, such as gym operating hours, availability of facilities like the ice machine or microwave, or other services. I only became aware of some of these facilities on my last day during check-out, which was disappointing. 2) 23 February 2026 The shampoo had run out and was not replenished during housekeeping services. I emailed the Front Office Manager regarding both the missing amenities and the ongoing low shower pressure issue. I did not receive any response. 3) 24 February 2026 The situation continued. Coffee and tea bags were not refilled, the stained bed sheets had still not been changed since Day 1 check-in, and both shampoo and conditioner were empty. I called the same Front Office Manager twice, and only shampoo was delivered. I then contacted the front desk twice more to clearly request conditioner, yet incorrect items were delivered again. As a result, the conditioner remained unreplenished for me for 3 consecutive days (22–24 February). 4) 25 February 2026 In the morning, I requested a new toothbrush through the front desk and was told housekeeping would provide one during housekeeping service. When I returned to my room after housekeeping, no toothbrush had been supplied. I later learned that when Trip.com contacted the hotel on my behalf regarding the service lapses, the Operations Manager informed them that everything had been “addressed and settled with me” which was not accurate. While individual staff members made partial attempts to assist, the repeated housekeeping lapses, lack of follow-up, and unresolved maintenance issue reflect systemic operational shortcomings rather than isolated mistakes. Throughout my entire stay (22–26 February), the shower water pressure issue remained unresolved. The hotel’s location is excellent and within walking distance of many major attractions, which helps save on public transport costs. However, good location alone does not compensate for the overall service deficiencies experienced during this stay. As a paying guest, I expected basic cleanliness, consistent replenishment of amenities, and responsive service, especially from a reputable hotel property like Marriott. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during this stay.

La bienvenida fue excelente; nos ofrecieron una habitación antes de la hora prevista de llegada, con una sonrisa. Sin embargo, al marcharnos, la persona encargada del check-out fue bastante desagradable. Eran las 5:00 de la mañana y era evidente que les estábamos molestando. Aun así, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Ubicación del hotel: Está un poco lejos de la estación de tren, porque las calles de Edimburgo son muy cuesta arriba y cuesta abajo. Si llevas maletas, tomar un taxi hasta el hotel no es conveniente. La distancia entre el hotel y los lugares pintorescos no es demasiado grande, por lo que es conveniente para viajar. El hotel es muy tranquilo por la noche. Hay 3 supermercados y un Starbucks cerca, lo cual es muy conveniente. La habitación es grande y tiene equipamiento de cocina, lo cual es muy conveniente. El baño es un poco pequeño, pero no afecta su uso. La habitación no tiene bañera. La desventaja es que la cama doble es demasiado pequeña para dos personas.

Estuvimos muy satisfechos con la habitación. Como viajábamos con mi madre, que tiene más de 80 años, el hotel tuvo la amabilidad de organizarnos una habitación adaptada para personas mayores, lo cual fue muy considerado. Estuvimos especialmente satisfechos, sobre todo con la recepcionista, que nos brindó un servicio excelente y nos ayudó a reservar un taxi. El conductor nos llevó al aeropuerto temprano a la mañana siguiente. ¡Les quedamos muy agradecidos!

La parada de autobús que lleva a las atracciones del centro está justo en la puerta del hotel, lo que facilita mucho los desplazamientos. El desayuno es muy completo y delicioso. El hotel cuenta con piscina cubierta y gimnasio. Frente al hotel, en la gasolinera, hay un pequeño supermercado muy práctico para comprar fruta, pan, café, fideos instantáneos y otras cosas. Si necesitas artículos como cepillo de dientes, pasta, zapatillas, gorro de ducha o un set de higiene personal, puedes solicitarlos en la recepción. Lo único es que las habitaciones no disponen de sobres de café o té, y también hay que pedirlos en recepción.

A Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely property, and we had an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the attention to detail and the warmth of the staff. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we both got a restful night’s sleep. What truly stood out, however, was the level of service. I was feeling a bit under the weather during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond by bringing breakfast directly to our room, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. This level of care really goes a long way in making guests feel valued. For those who prefer to enjoy their breakfast with a bit of fresh air, the hotel also has a charming terrace where you can take your meal while soaking in the surroundings. It's the perfect way to start the day if you want to enjoy a bit of sunshine. The location is also a major plus. It’s just a short walk to the city center, making it easy to explore, and for those who prefer not to walk, a quick 5-minute bus ride will take you wherever you need to go. The lounge area at the hotel is another highlight. It’s spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with blankets to keep guests comfortable if the temperature drops. It provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. The combination of comfort, thoughtful service, and a prime location makes it a top choice. We will definitely be staying here again when we return!
