We stayed at the Jumeirah for our Umrah trip. Our room was fantastic but we were so appalled by the dining service and quality of food. At breakfast, the service is terrible. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful and the people behind the live food stations need to smile like the gentleman on the egg station. I asked 5 times for a karak chai from the start of entering the breakfast until the end; I was there for 1.5 hours and every single person I asked was unable to get me the karak. They kept ignoring and disappearing. In the end I had to remind the waiters how long I had been waiting only to be told it had run out. I was waiting for a very long time just to be told this! In the end someone did get me the karak but it was so hard to just ask for something so simple. Also every day at breakfast the tables are not set out with the cuttlery and napkins missing. Every time I ask someone for some cutlery as there isn’t any on the table and it doesn’t get replaced but again we are always ignored and have many times helped ourselves to cutlery from other tables or the station where staff store the cutlery. We got very tired of the service here and it definitely doesn’t live up to the standards of other 5 star hotels (except the hotel and room itself). The staff are very unhelpful and the kitchen staff are awful. Having come from a hospitality background, there needs to be more structure in your kitchen and managers need to stop prioritising specific tables. All guests should be treated the same. We came to the buffet dinner and we’re looking forward to a lovely meal however the food was absolutely awful quality. The lamb shoulder was so over cooked and dry. We have never tasted anything quite like it. I have attached a picture to show the quality. It was inedible. There were literally no staff at any of the service stations. We wanted some of the grilled meat and chicken and we had searched for someone to serve it to us and he took one handful of it and put it on our plates. That is not an adequate protein portion. The portion was enough to fit a tablespoon of meat. The options were so poor. Again, no table service and no napkins and cutlery. We had to keep asking for things that should have been there. We didn’t even have water bottles and the table next to us had 5 water bottles for 2 people. We were really looking forward to the dinner but it was the worst buffet we have been to for a five star hotel. Nothing was fresh and the dessert selection was terrible too. Definitely nothing 5 star about it. The pastry was old and stale and very sweet without any flavour. It’s such a shame at such a high price which does not reflect any quality at all. We were so disappointed with the stay. We were hoping to return later this year with our family but we will have to find another hotel as this is hotel is not at the standard to bring our family to. Your location, decor, room size are amazing but your customer service and quality of food really lets you down. It is such a shame as we were really looking forward to staying here again. Si buscas un hotel económico de 4 estrellas, no busques en ningún otro lado. Este es el mejor que puedes conseguir. Tienen un servicio de autobús gratuito que funciona cada media hora. Te deja en la Puerta de Marwa. Tienes que caminar entre 10 y 15 minutos para llegar al Haram. Te recogen en el mismo lugar. No tuve ningún problema con el servicio de autobús. El servicio de transporte era bastante bueno. El único inconveniente es caminar hasta el Haram. Iba con mi hijo y le cuesta caminar cada vez. La comida del hotel es peor. No me gustó en absoluto. Tomé el desayuno buffet y pagué 100 riyales. Fue una experiencia gastronómica peor. La variedad de desayuno era muy limitada. En general, es un buen hotel económico. Supongo que hay que hacer concesiones en algún aspecto.

El desayuno está bien, porque he vivido antes, así que sé que no es tan bueno como antes, las habitaciones están limpias y los camareros son buenos, pero el bar es realmente difícil de comunicar, ¿puedo estudiar inglés en serio? Siento que no entienden si te das prisa jajaja

I had the pleasure of staying at Violet Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and I wanted to share my experience with everyone considering a trip to this holy city. First, the location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is situated just a short distance from the Haram, making it incredibly convenient for performing prayers and attending religious duties. The view from my room offered a beautiful sight of the surroundings, providing a serene feel which added to my spiritual journey. The staff at Violet Hotel deserve special mention. From the moment I checked in, they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The concierge service was particularly helpful in assisting me with local transportation and offering advice on places to visit. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. I appreciated the modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and a fully-stocked minibar. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to get some much-needed rest after long days of prayers and exploration. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, ensuring the room was spotless each day. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, from local Saudi dishes to international fare, all prepared with fresh ingredients. I also dined at the in-house restaurant for dinner a couple of times, and the meals were absolutely delightful. In terms of facilities, the Violet Hotel offers several amenities that enhance the guest experience. There is a well-equipped fitness center, which I found extremely beneficial to keep up with my exercise routine. The business center also came in handy as I needed to catch up on some work during my stay. Overall, my experience at Violet Hotel was exceptional. Whether you are visiting Makkah for a spiritual pilgrimage or just to explore the city, I highly recommend staying here. The combination of its prime location, excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic dining options make it a great choice for any traveler.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the Haram, especially near King Abdul Aziz Gate. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, making it a relaxing place to return to after a long day. The breakfast was decent, with a large variety of options to choose from. I also enjoyed the view of the Haram from my room. One great convenience was being able to pray in the room during busy times, as the sound of the congregation from Masjid al-Haram was played in speakers of the room that you can turn on or off according to your comfort. The only downside was that the washroom was a bit small, but overall, the stay was very comfortable.

La ubicación es muy distante de Haram, pero la disponibilidad de servicios de autobús por hora para recoger y deshacerse mejora mucho la conveniencia y el confort. El hotel está en desarrollo, añadiendo a la belleza del entorno, especialmente para un paseo por la noche. Recomendamos este lugar a quienes buscan una estancia cómoda sin romper el banco.

¡Guau! ¡Qué hotel! Superó mis expectativas con creces y realmente disfruté cada momento. El servicio es increíble, especialmente el Sr. Muhammad, qué hombre tan amable y gentil. Él nos registró y nos registró. Tan pronto como entras al hotel te golpea el maravilloso olor. La decoración está fuera de este mundo. Los tranquilos colores terrosos y el sutil brillo entre todo están bien pensados. Los elementos complementarios en el hotel también los disfruté. Café de buena calidad, muchas toallas, de diferentes tipos y tamaños, ¡una hermosa vista! Los autobuses lanzadera eran muy frecuentes, la mayoría de las veces que esperé probablemente fueron 2 minutos, pero casi en todos los casos no tuve que esperar. Todas las puertas se abren para ti y te hacen sentir como un rey. El desayuno también era una variedad de buena comida. Definitivamente lo visitaré nuevamente. Era más barato que los hoteles cercanos. ¡Lo último que diré es Allaahuma baarik!
