After breakfast, I was kindly told to give it away for free, which was a little surprise. The front desk has coffee hot tea bags, apple orange energy bars, customers can pick up at will, and the warm service is warm. Very recommended."

"One of the most peaceful places we have been in a long time. Our room was upstairs with our own private balcony and we sat out there every day for at least a short time enjoying the quiet of the mountains with a beautiful view in front of us. The room was comfortable, amenities including bathrobes provided. Each morning, Marsha made a great big and tasty breakfast and the menu was never repeated, which is a plus. The location is in the country, but I wouldn't trade a little drive time for the beauty of the setting."

"Being snowed in at the Lazy Bear Lodge was such an awesome, peaceful, relaxing, romantic & blessed 4 days for me & my husband. The Lodge was meticulously clean & beautifully decorated, further enhanced with majestic snow covered mountain views. Our hosts, John & Marsha, were so kind, hospitable & accommodating. Marsha prepared delicious gourmet breakfasts every morning that John served to us. John kept a warm blazing fire going in the double sided wood burning fireplace. My husband & I sat in the common living space looking out the huge windows that opened to the back deck watching the snow fall over the mountains & the birds coming to the feeders. Although the roads were not suitable for driving we were able to go out for a serene walk in the winter wonderland that surrounded us. God truly blessed our time at Lazy Bear. Looking forward to another stay during another season of the year. "
