I was shown to a room that had been renovated, with double-glazed windows, the selected manufacturer's name for the paper towel case in the toilet, the color of the outlets, the ship-shaped ceiling, etc., and the initial feeling was definitely correct. In addition, the recent article distribution on the web as a ryokan "Kiyonoya" and the article in the Yomiuri Shimbun (Fascinated Fukuoka) with a photo of the proprietress gave me positive power. In terms of hot water, "Chikugogawa Onsen Kiyonoya" was ranked first in the nation in the moist skin category in the 2021 Hot Spring Inn and Hotel General Election. It was featured prominently in the national edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun. In addition, the annual award certificate is displayed in the lobby. There are no problems with the bathroom and hot water. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the venue was a great place to eat while watching the Chikugo River flow. Returning to the room, I sat on chairs across the table from my wife and watched the Chikugo River flow while talking, which was very relaxing. We left talking about how we would like to come back again for my wife's birthday in November and for our golden wedding anniversary next year.
