"In short: We spent an entire night in temperatures just above freezing with our 19-month-old daughter. It was freezing cold and drafty because otherwise the stench would have been unbearable. Driving home in heavy snowfall was out of the question for us at that hour. And what shouldn't be forgotten is that this wasn't exactly cheap accommodation. At over €400 for two nights, or €550 with breakfast, you can expect a clean room and, even more importantly, own up to mistakes and face the consequences, namely refunding money that was wrongly withheld because the service wasn't provided. To be more detailed: I primarily want to distance myself from negative reviews simply because people are surprised that an outdoor pool isn't open in winter. I definitely don't fall into that category. However, what my family and I experienced at the Hotelpark Bodetal in early January 2026 is hard to stomach. In forty years of traveling, I've never experienced anything like it. But let's jump back in time together. It was a relatively spontaneous trip for my wife's birthday with our 19-month-old daughter. Having found and booked through ***********, we set off full of anticipation for Thale and the Hotelpark Bodetal on a snowy, cold January day. Everything seemed relaxed at the hotel. We checked into our room in House 8, ground floor, in the afternoon and immediately experienced a nasty surprise. Upon entering the room, we were hit with a musty, cheesy smell. "Well," I thought, "it's cold." Visually, the room looked quite dated, but okay, perhaps the cleaning product had lingered. So, we aired it out thoroughly. Nevertheless, I informed the rather overweight man at reception that the room smelled bad. He evaded the issue by saying that no cleaning staff were currently available, but assured us that the room would be cleaned again the following day. For the time being, I left it at that. Despite repeated offers to experience the smell in the room himself, the gentleman refused to leave the reception desk. Presumably, his work motivation is linked to his interest in physical activity. Since our little one loves water, we promptly went to the Bodetal thermal baths. Upon our return, and despite leaving the windows slightly open for cross-ventilation in the freezing cold, we were greeted upon entering the apartment by our roommate again: the putrid, cheesy stench. I put my nose to work and, with some effort and a bit of patience, managed to locate the suspected culprit in the kitchen. It was lodged in the kitchen sink drain and the overflow of the cutlery tray, as you can see in the attached photos. As is clearly visible in the photos, the culprit in the cutlery tray drain, in particular, had been there for weeks, if not months."

"Romanticamente y completamente tranquilo situado en la orilla del suelo. Hay parking gratuito en el otro lado del río. Así que hay que llevar o rodar el equipaje a unos 100 metros. El check-in se realizó sin problemas a través de un cajón clave. El código y la descripción de la ubicación del tesoro y de la entrada se enviaron por correo electrónico a tiempo. La tarjeta de invitado necesaria para viajes de autobús y descuentos locales también se envió por vía electrónica. Mi habitación y el baño con ducha eran muy pequeños, pero completamente suficientes. Las habitaciones, así como el baño y el WC eran muy limpios. Wi-Fi funcionó sin problemas. En el piso se pueden tomar bebidas refrigeradas: escriba en la lista y paga en el check-out. De las 16 a las 20 horas, la sauna está disponible gratuitamente en el piso. Las toallas adicionales en el descanso serían agradables, pero también se salió con la toalla grande del cuarto. Si sólo hay pocos invitados, hay un pequeño bufete para el desayuno, entre otros, con musli. Por mesa se ofrece un piso con salsa y queso, así como un cesto con diferentes pan. Comer huevos, café o té, así como deseos especiales se encarga con el personal que fue muy amable. En general, se recomienda el hotel vista al suelo. La relación entre el precio y el rendimiento es adecuada."

"Para decirlo muy sencillamente, no recuerdo una mejor estancia en un hotel de esta categoría. Todo era perfecto: el lugar histórico pero bien modernizado, el amplio y cómodo cuarto (debo tener duro muy amplio etctres cómodo con un baño excepcional, Una terraza muy agradable y una cama también) hay que añadir personal de amable y eficiente fuera del lugar común, así como un hermoso desayuno. Brevemente perfecto ..."

"Estabamos totalmente espontáneamente para un fin de semana en este hotel. La reserva en línea y la entrada fueron fáciles. La habitación y el baño ya estaban un poco más llenos, pero limpios y todo lo que estaba bien. El único manko fue la brillanteza, sobre todo el pasillo. Habida cuenta de que el hotel no tenía demasiados huéspedes durante nuestra estancia, esto se mantuvo en el marco. La noche habíamos cenado en el restaurante del hotel. La comida nos pareció muy buena y el servicio también fue agradable y atento. Un acento fue, en cualquier caso, el robot de servicio Kitty, que ayudó a servir y limpiar las comidas. Todo en general un hotel recomendable para un viaje de fin de semana."
