My recent stay at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff offered warm, attentive service, making me feel welcomed and valued throughout my stay. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with stunning views of the city skyline. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch, including a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa. Dining was equally impressive, with a wide variety of delicious international and ********* dishes. In summary, the Sheraton Grand Taipei provides a luxurious, seamless experience with outstanding service, facilities, and dining. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Taipei.

it is a very outdated hotel to be considered 5 star. felt more like an average 4 star hotel. I guess its close proximity to Taipei main station gave it its legacy 5 star rating. also credits to housekeeping for regular daily cleaning of room. downsides: double bed was queen size. was really expecting a king size for a 5 star hotel. headboard above bed was extremely dusty to the touch, and led lights tend to flicker randomly. bathtub + shower is an outdated concept, small shower area to stand in the bathtub is so uncomfortable. furnishing generally looks outdated. worst of all, when all lights are switched off, only a creepy red light (probably from the smoke detector) remains lit right in front of the mirror facing the bed. makes you feel like something gonna jump out from the mirror. horrible experience. you're better off paying a similar price by finding a 4 star hotel which is 2-3 stops away from Taipei main station, potentially bigger rooms, a more comfortable bed and newer fittings.

Location is not too bad but need to walk about 10 min to MRT station and about 20 min to Ximending and attractions like temples and Presidential Hall. Food choices not too much within the 5 min walk radius . Getting a taxi is easy , and the concierge ladies are always ready to assist in particular Lisa. She’s very hardworking, including loading and offloading our luggage from the taxi. And she did so with smiles. Did not try the breakfast in the hotel as we usually prefer trying out local delights.

Love this hotel for multiple reasons. Firstly, the location. Super convenient, prolly the best you can get in Taipei. There are escalators up and down from the hotel to the metro and that could really help if you are carrying a lot and heavy luggage. Secondly, the service of the hotel staff were super good. You will be given complimentary drink vouchers, which were greatly appreciated. They also gave hot spring sachets for you to try. Don’t think you can find other hotels with such great services and complimentary items. The setbacks were that the room that I booked was actually near the lift and when people walked past the room at night or in the morning, there will be noises, which can be disruptive if you are a light sleeper. Also the showering doesn’t have wet and dry separation, you will need to step in and out of the bathtub which one need to be really careful. But other than that, would still highly recommend this hotel. Have stayed for multiple times and will continue to book this hotel when I’m in Taipei!

Segunda vez que me alojo aquí, en general todo está bien. El enchufe del secador de pelo está muy suelto, por lo que debes presionar el enchufe para soplar tu cabello. El lugar para colgar la ropa son sólo unos pocos ganchos cortos en la pared, lo cual es un poco insuficiente 😂 No importa cómo ajuste la temperatura del aire acondicionado, la sensación parece ser la misma😅 La ubicación está al lado de Ximending. Está relativamente cerca de la estación Beimen y tarda unos 10 minutos. Se tarda unos 7 minutos desde el hotel hasta Ximending. Lo único es que no hay ventana, por lo que es fácil dormir hasta que se te olvida la hora 😂 Pero el precio es relativamente económico.

Our family had a wonderful six-day stay at Illume Taipei, and we couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location. The hotel is surrounded by multiple 7-Eleven and FamilyMart convenience stores, ensuring that snacks, essentials, and quick meals are always within reach. In fact, there’s even a 7-Eleven located inside the hotel itself, which adds to the overall convenience. For families traveling with young children, the accessibility to medical facilities is a major plus. A hospital is located nearby, and a pediatric clinic is just a two-minute walk away, providing peace of mind in case of any unexpected health concerns. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The thoughtful layout and cleanliness made it a welcoming space to return to after a long day of exploring the city. Overall, Illume Taipei offers a fantastic balance of comfort, convenience, and accessibility, making it an excellent choice for both families and travelers looking for a hassle-free stay. Highly recommended!

Hotel was recommended by an acquaintance. Location was very good with easy access to MRT Beimen station and Taipei main station on walking distance. Check-in went very smoothly but the hallway was too dark so it was difficult to find/read my room number! Except that the room was good with sufficient space and nice bed/bath and most importantly, no noise could be heard from other rooms. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but no complaints either.

En general, realmente una muy buena experiencia en este hotel. En primer lugar, la ubicación es súper buena, a solo 2 minutos a pie de la salida 4 de XiMenDing. (no se preocupe porque la salida 4 tiene escaleras mecánicas) Se anima a todos a realizar el check-in por cuenta propia y no se preocupen porque definitivamente habrá personal de recepción. allí para guiarlo a través de todo el proceso de check-in. Solicité el piso alto durante la reserva de mi viaje y el piso más alto que obtuve para este viaje en el nivel 15. El tamaño de la habitación no está mal. El hotel ya ha instalado una toma de corriente internacional, por lo que no hay necesidad de preocuparse por ello. Definitivamente regresaré y lo recomendaré a todos los que quisieran visitar Taiwán y quedarse en XiMenDing.

You’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, and entertainment, so it's ideal if you want to be in the middle of the action. #### Room: We stayed in the **Superior Family Room**, which was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The room had a modern design, with comfortable beds, a TV, a mini-fridge, and a desk. The bathroom was a bit tight, but it worked well for our needs. The shower had good water pressure, and everything was clean and in good condition. #### Service: The service was friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk were always ready to assist with recommendations for local attractions and were prompt in fulfilling our requests for extra towels and pillows. #### Amenities: The **breakfast** was okay, but not impressive. The buffet had a basic selection of both Western and ********* breakfast items, but it became repetitive, and the quality could have been better. It was just enough to get by, but nothing memorable. One issue that affected our stay was the **noise in the lobby at night**. It often felt like a social hangout spot, with a large group of people drinking beer and playing games. It wasn't always clear if all of them were hotel guests, and the noise was quite disruptive, especially for anyone trying to relax or sleep. If you're sensitive to noise, this might be a problem, as the lobby area gets pretty lively late into the night. #### Overall Experience: While **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** offers great value for its central location and the rooms are generally comfortable, the noise from the lobby and the underwhelming breakfast left a bit of a negative impression. Based on this experience, **I probably wouldn't stay here again**. I would likely choose a hotel that's even closer to Ximending, with quieter surroundings and a better breakfast. Would I recommend it? If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel in Ximending and don't mind some noise in the evenings, it could work for you. But for a more peaceful stay, I’d recommend looking at other options.
