"We stayed here 3 nights and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was tiny but cozy. The beds were comfortable and there was lots of hot water in the shower. The breakfast was very filling with fruit, yogurt, cereal and croissants on a buffet as well as a menu with cooked to order hot food. This inn is right across from the ferry terminal, so very convenient. The only negative aspect is that there is no elevator and the stairs are very steep and narrow. This was a problem for a few people in our group. However, all in all, I would definitely recommend this inn."

"Este pequeño hotel tenía grandes comodidades en el cuarto de estar, un bar privado en el piso principal, maravilloso incluye desayuno y un personal amigable. No hay ascensor, pero ayudaron con equipaje. Sólo abajo estaba el estacionamiento limitado. Un problema en toda la ciudad, no sólo el hotel. También lo ayudaron. Las cenas de la noche estaban disponibles en su hermana hotel, el Ferry Inn, a pocos kilómetros. Reservas a must!"

"Very expensive, for very poor standard, managed remotely by Payman Club, local staff have no say in price - or even know the price. We complained to our credit card company under section 75 of the Consumer Credit act and got £219 back."

Stromness Apartments ★★★

"My wife, sister and I stayed here for three nights in Orkney. We stayed in the Meadow View Apartment. It was a positive gem. Two bedrooms both with en-suites and an additional upstairs bathroom. Heaters galore and a well appointed kitchen. The apartment is situated in the countryside just outside Stromness and is quiet. It is a short drive to the neolithic attractions. The owner, Alexander bends over backwards to ensure you are comfortable. I would highly recommend this property. "

"I stayed at the b&b while I was stranded on the island due to bad weather I had 2 nights there , the service was second to none , The breakfast was beautiful and Deborah couldn't do enough for you . Had a later ferry and they didn't have an issue with me and another guest staying in our rooms until we were ready to head for the ferry . My room was spotless and very comfortable with a very nice bathroom . They had a guest sitting room which is nicely set out . Would definitely recommend to anyone .
