"The location is convenient, the rooms large (for Italy) and very comfortable, and the service excellent. We stayed for 6 days and were very happy. There is both paid parking in an underground garage and free parking in a fenced area (we used both). You can walk to the Piazza del Mercato, the various cultural sites, and the restaurants in minutes. You are near a main road, so you can easily visit the area by car. The pool is smallish but very pleasant."

The comfortable location to reach the station and the centre of Spoleto for a walk and to go to dining in one of the many locals present. The lady of the reception welcomed us with a smile and also advised us a great restaurant where we had a very good dinner; the triple room with single beds was comfortable, clean and also enjoyed a beautiful view. Good breakfast (sweet and salad). Thank you!"

"El hotel Il Panciolle es un hotel de 2 estrellas con restaurante, situado en una posición excelente, muy cerca de la plaza de la Catedral de Spoleto. La habitación que nos dieron para nuestra estancia de 2 noches, Mimosa, era inesperadamente grande para esta categoría de hotel, pero lamentablemente los comentarios positivos sobre el hotel Il Panciolle terminan aquí: el nivel de limpieza de la habitación era bastante pobre, con grandes manchas de humedad en el techo, con trozos de pintura cayendo al suelo, la luz principal de la habitación se rompió y no fue reparada a pesar de que lo informamos rápidamente. Además, la habitación no fue limpiada el segundo día, aunque hay que decir que, debido a tal deficiencia, el hotel ofreció un 12,5% de descuento en el check out. El desayuno era básico, pero se servía en una terraza muy agradable con vistas a las colinas que rodean Spoleto. En general, nuestra estancia no fue satisfactoria y no lo recomendaría."

"I am surprised to see so many mediocre reviews for this charming property. My friend and I visited in April, outside of the busy season, and had a great experience. We booked a 2 bedroom suite that had two large bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a spacious living room and was excellent value. The hotel’s restaurant was very busy, despite being off season. The food was great and most people were locals. Breakfast was also very good. The grounds and public rooms were charming, with many places to relax. Cannot comment on the pool as it was not open yet. This is not a fancy five star place but very authentic and typically Italian. We loved it."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Charleston! Our room was a superior room that was very attractive and had a very comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was great! The location of the hotel was very convenient, about a 3 minute uphill walk to the main shopping street in Spoleto and in walking distance to all of the sights and restaurants. Even the train station was only a 20 minute easy walk. The staff spoke English and were very accommodating. Highly recommend!!"

"The hotel is at the edge of Spoleto. Since Spoleto is not big, even then you can be in the city easily by walk only in 10 minutes. The view is great and the place is quite quiet. The rooms are spacious, comfortable even for 2 people. It must be a great hotel some decades ago, now already a bit obsolete. It seemed clean, but the time has already passed… There is an aircon, obsolete, but works well. I tried to ask help, but the safe didnt work properly. There is a “gym” at the 5th floor. It is a rooftop with windows around. You can imagine on a sunny day…There is something, which blows air inside but that only means not to have 39 degress there but 33. Almost impossible to exercise there after the sun comes up or at night. The pool is ok, although a bit small to be able to swim. The breakfast is fair, you can find better food than the tipical sweet calorie-bombs such as croissants, cakes, and other sugary food. It is a big pity, that in the heart of Italy vegetables are not available at the breakfast! Not even a tomato, or cucumber, etc. Thats why if u want to eat ham and bread, you have to eat as dry it is, no veggies. The staff was kind."
