"So to give this place a balanced review I will give its pros and cons. Pros - great location, comfy beds, beautifully decorated and the owner did our laundry for free Cons - the owner took our money twice and pretended it was an accident (if you only have 8 rooms as the website states you would surely notice all these extra euros at the end of day when balancing your card payments) I had to ask for one to be refunded and luckily we got our money back during our stay, the owners have mega phone voices shouting and screaming at each other - our first night we thought ww1 was going on outside but we got used to thier loud ways, we never got breakfast which was supposed to be included in the price(we were offered it once as we were leaving but declined and never got offered again even though they asked a time to bring it the next day but it never came so we gave up and went to the lodge narlis each morning which was gorgeous) it felt like they couldn't be bothered, the bathroom needs a refurb as toilet old and noisy and a proper deep clean as black mould in tiles, room 4 is just the worst location in the hotel do not accept this room, The bathroom has these 3 open triangles that lead straight out to reception no glass no nothing so you hear everything and they hear everything so not ideal for a bathroom, room 4 was really dark as it only had the door and 1 window. Air conditioning and fridge too noisy. Although we loved Sifnos and will go back but we will not return back to this hotel, such a shame as we had such great greek hospitality in our previous hotels but we didn't let it spoil our stay at all but just wanted to give a real review of our experience. "

"Such a nice hotel! The staff were super handy and arranged all transport for us, as well as serving up a great breakfast every morning on the terrace which was a lovely way to start the day. The rooms were spacious, clean and well presented. With a terrace which felt private and had a good view of sunset. It’s a short walk from Faros beach, but to get to other parts of the island you need a car or taxi. Taxis were limited on the island so some pre planning is needed, ideally you would rent a car."

"Lovely hotel; five minutes’ walk from the sea. Stunning views of the coast and surrounding countryside. Service was impeccable. Chrisoula, the manageress, was hugely friendly and wonderfully helpful with everything - including pick-up and drop-off at the ferry port, as well as restaurant recommendations and bookings. Rooms were very well furnished and spotless: towels and bed linen was changed every two days. A roof top terrace with fully-stocked drinks bar and honesty box was a lovely touch. Excellent choices at breakfast: super-healthy options - fab fresh orange juice and fruit plus gorgeous Greek yogurt - as well as homemade pastries and jams. Cannot recommend highly enough; you are guaranteed a wonderful holiday if you stay here."

"From the first minute of being greeted by the wonderful Kris & Anna the experience was fantastic. The rooms (we had both a non sea view and sea view during our 3 night stay) were luxurious and clean with very comfortable beds, super bathrooms and a lot of living space. The interior decor through out has been beautifully designed giving a sophisticated relaxed vibe. Anna and the whole spa experience was outstanding ( we both had treatments indeed it was so good my wife had 2) breakfast was above and beyond - fresh fruits and both continental and cooked options - and the staff were ultra helpful to our needs including my gluten intolerance. Location perfect just a 4 minute walk from the main restaurant and bar area. It was good to meet and have great conversations with George who owns the hotel - we felt at home in this heavenly place - just perfect . Thankyou to everyone at Sifnos House."

"My wife and I recently stayed three nights at Niriedes, a very nice hotel overlooking the beach and bay. The rooms were very clean and gave a great view. We spent a good amount of time on the balcony overlooking the bay, reading, and just relaxing. The hotel’s owner Thanos was always happy to help with a taxi or answer questions and the breakfast that included baked goods and pastries was amazing. The hotel is a short walk from many restaurants and is a great base to explore the rest of Sifnos from. Would highly recommend!"

"Our fav hotel of the trip (out of 6!)! This is a really special place and hope to return. Room = Faros the Superior - I highly recommend! ▪ Pro: • Room modern and well done with some neat design touches. Had AC that actually worked! • Our room had a great patio and plunge pool looking over the cove of Faros. I loved the view and both sun and shade loungers were so comfortable! • 5 minute walk to 3 different beaches, each with places to eat. o Note: They beaches are semi ‘scrappy’ compared to what we may be used to in the IS. ie: they aren’t maintained with someone clearing rocks/branches but are pretty in their own way. • 5 minute walk to several water front places to eat. • Neat outdoor gym! • Has a sauna at the spa! Also great food & staff! ▪ Con: • The 5-minute walk in both directions to the local beaches is a walk along a road with both nice villas and abandoned construction, so not the most picturesque. Really just saying this to list a con. • The view of the pool is slightly interrupted by a villa further down the sloop on the cliff edge. • The spa is fully outside so not something to do if the weather is bad, which is too bad bc that’s part of the glory of a spa day on vacation. Also, the Sauna is next to the treatment space so a guest can’t use the Sauna if someone is getting a treatment. They should have put it in the gym!"

A walking path connects directly from the hotel to both Appolonia and Artemonas and it is a beautiful walk. The rooms are so comfortable and all the amenities are terrific! Anything you need, the incredible staff are only too happy to make sure you are enjoying every moment of your stay. And the hotel breakfast is 5 star. Prepared fresh each morning, you will start your day with enough energy from the amazing food to explore the entire island! I already cannot wait to return to Sifnos and stay here again."

"Nos encantaría escribir una reseña excelente y mencionar lo maravilloso que era Sifnos, la belleza de sus playas y paisajes, así como la magnífica gastronomía y la hospitalidad de la isla, y todo esto era cierto. Sin embargo, por difícil que sea a veces decir algo negativo, también es necesario describir con precisión las cosas cuando salen mal. Este no fue el caso y el WindMill Bella Vista fue la mayor decepción de un viaje de 17 días. No cumplió con lo prometido y, en nuestra experiencia, no fue una estancia de lujo. Fuimos los primeros huéspedes de la temporada en mayo de 2024 y era evidente que no estaban preparados para recibir huéspedes. Ni de cerca. El restaurante y el bar estaban cerrados. Ofrecían desayuno, pero no el bufé que esperábamos y, en nuestra última mañana, ni siquiera tenían leche. Había sillas y mesas rotas apiladas junto al comedor. No había sombrillas ni toldos alrededor de la piscina y se estaban realizando obras en la zona, con herramientas, luces y cables eléctricos por todas partes. Había herramientas esparcidas por las áreas exteriores, así como bandejas de pintura, ollas, cubos y otros equipos tirados por ahí. La "cocina pequeña" dejaba mucho que desear, con placas eléctricas oxidadas que tardaban mucho en calentarse y los cubiertos colocados en la bandeja con el detergente. No tuvimos agua caliente y las duchas eran muy frías durante los dos primeros días. Suponemos que el sistema de respaldo de la calefacción solar no funcionaba. En cualquier caso, el baño tenía un mal diseño, ya que no había ningún panel ni cortina que impidiera que el agua cubriera el 80% de la pequeña habitación. Margarita (la gerente) nos recibió la primera noche y nos ayudó a alquilar un coche, pero a partir de ahí fue casi imposible encontrar a alguien que nos ayudara con algo. Las repetidas llamadas al número de recepción no fueron contestadas. Solo había una empleada que, sinceramente, hizo todo lo posible por ayudarnos, pero ni siquiera ella pudo encontrar a la gerente cuando la necesitábamos. En nuestro segundo día, George (el dueño) fue encantador y muy amablemente nos ofreció comida y bebida de su propia nevera, pero lamentablemente esto no compensa la actitud poco profesional y la falta de esfuerzo del gerente. Teniendo en cuenta las respuestas a las malas críticas anteriores, espero una respuesta desagradable de Margarita, pero, por desgracia, sentí que la gente debía saber la verdad. Definitivamente NO LO RECOMIENDO. Vimos a Margarita cuando nos íbamos y no quiso asumir ninguna responsabilidad por ningún problema. Posteriormente, hemos leído casi todas las reseñas disponibles sobre este lugar y les rogamos que tengan en cuenta las malas críticas, ya que no somos los únicos que hemos tenido una experiencia de 1 estrella o menos. ¡Buena suerte!"
