What a great hotel !! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were both great. Breakfast, hot and yummy. Check-in was quick and easy. Very convenient to the freeway, makes getting around to places of interest so easy. Parking was great and very safe. All of the front desk staff were so friendly, happy and helpful. Would like to give a special shout out to Robert, he was so sweet and helpful to us. If back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

La familia y yo nos quedamos en el DuPont Fairfield Inn & Suites por dos noches. Debbie (en la entrada de la noche atrasada) y Brandon (hora del día) en el escritorio frontal fueron extremadamente útiles, profesionales y acomodados para nuestra familia de 5. El desayuno es muy agradable y con una buena selección de comida y bebidas, incluso mis niños muy picantes disfrutaron de la desayuno. El Fairfield Inn fue muy limpio y todos, incluidos los huéspedes, llevaban máscaras. ¡En estos tiempos de aburrimiento, fue tan agradable quedarse en un lugar cómodo y seguro con un gran servicio al cliente!

La ubicación perfecta para nuestra viaje! Visitamos Buckley, Tacoma y Seattle durante nuestra viaje y este hotel no fue más de 20-30 minutos al más largo de cualquier ubicación a la que viajamos. El personal era tan amable y útil. No tuvimos absolutamente ninguna queja. El hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad, pero no se puede hacer nada. El desayuno lleno de recipientes con huevos abrasados o omeletas prefabricadas, salsa o bacon o ambos y una galleta, también tenían café, una selección de jugos, leche, yogur y mosquitos. El hotel es un hotel muy agradable, muy agradable y muy agradable.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites recently. What a disappointment. The hotel is undergoing extensive remodeling. Unfortunately, at 4 a.m. the fire alarm went off. We sat in the car for an hour until the fire trucks departed. We were advised the fire alarm was triggered because of the remodeling and roof work. When we went to check out of the hotel we ask if we would receive some type of compensation and were told no. Management of the hotel determined that the fire alarm did not impact our stay and it was ”for our good”. To say we were disappointed in their response was an understatement. The next night we stayed in a different Holiday Inn Express in a different city, also being remodeled. When we walked into THAT property, we were greeted with ”we are having some work done on our lobby, so I am crediting your account with 1,000 extra points. Thank you for choosing Holiday Inn Express.” We will be staying at the second Holiday Inn Express. We will not be returning to the Puyallup property and urge anyone in the area to choose the Best Western Plus which is in the same parking area. It is a very nice property which will serve you well.

Llegamos en 12/25 y fueron bienvenidos por una hermosa dama que nos ofreció recomendaciones para lugares de comer, ya que tuvimos un largo vuelo debido a la tormenta de invierno. El hotel es limpio, quiero decir, limpio. Las puertas delanteras también están seguras. La cama estaba cómoda y las linen hueles limpias y con un aroma de lavandería. La zona del desayuno es espaciosa y limpia. Hay también muchas opciones de comida para todos. Esperamos todos los días por el desayuno. La dama hispanica en la zona de comida también era tan dulce y se aseguró de que teníamos todo lo que necesitamos. Estamos seguramente de nuevo en este hotel cuando visitamos WA NParks. No deje que la zona exterior (ruedas) te impida reservar este hotel.

Nice, decent, clean hotel with breakfast included and free parking. About 10 minute walk from Washington State Fairgrounds, while downtown Puyallup with restaurants and bars is about 20-25 minutes walk or a short drive. Rooms and bathrooms aren't the most modern but everything was very clean and comfortable. I was happy to get a room overlooking the trees (the other 3 sides of the hotel overlook either the parking lot or road). So I had a nice quiet stay. Staff are quite friendly and efficient (although they had a big line up of water bottles at the front desk and when I asked for one she said oh there's water bottles in the room, not mentioning that they are $4 each. If the water bottles at front desk are only reserved for top tier elite Bonvoy members maybe they should hide them out of the way, in my opinion, but that's just a minor point!)

This property needs help. Check in went OK I suppose. Was handed keys with a sticky note with my room number, as they were out of key sleeves. I checked in to my room and noticed it definitely needed an upgrade. Stale, mildew-y smell. I went to put out the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, to find there wasn't one. Went back to the front desk and was told they had none. Pillows on the bed are quite flat, foam type and don't offer any support. Bed was OK overall. Shower head sprayed water in several directions despite adjusting. Breakfast (if you can even call it that) was a sad affair. Styrofoam flavored half circle pre-made egg things, and the greasiest pork sausage on earth. No hard boiled eggs. No fruit cups. Sign up for gluten free options, and there were none available. No napkins out anywhere. Breakfast staff seemed lost and confused. Sign up for build-your-own French Toast, and there was none to build. 3 sad apples were the only fruit offering, and I would not feed them to a horse. There appears to be a chocolate milkshake (or worse) spilled all over the outdoor carpeting just outside the rooms on the 2nd level. Landscape is shaggy with half-mowed grass and an unkept appearance. Internet works, but is slow. I'm a Diamond Select member with BW, and even with my ”discounted rate” it was still over $130 + tax just for a single. They refer to this as a ”historic” property, but they need to definitely improve its appearance. If I was the owner of this property, I'd be ashamed.

La piscina triste estaba cerrada debido a Covid, pero entiendo que no hay nada que puedan hacer al respecto. El desayuno era decente dadas las restricciones debido a Covid. Reservé 2 habitaciones. Una habitación tenía una ducha ”puf” para el gel de baño que sobró de la persona que tenía la habitación antes que nosotros, así que me preocupa que la habitación no se haya limpiado como debería haber estado. En la otra habitación me di cuenta de que el secador de pelo gratuito estaba sucio. Tenía el pelo pegado y el soporte estaba un poco sucio. La habitación también olía a perfume de abuela. Me preocupaba de nuevo que la habitación no estuviera limpia como debería. Y eso es aún más importante ahora gracias a Covid. Creo que debería haber buenos descuentos en las habitaciones, ya que las comodidades no estaban disponibles debido a la pandemia. También el desayuno está ”incluido” en el precio. Pero como no puede disfrutar del buen desayuno estilo buffet debido a Covid, creo que el precio de las habitaciones debe ajustarse para reflejar estas cosas.

Ok….I read the reviews and was anxious about our upcoming one night stay to attend a concert at the Tacoma Dome. Check In - 5 stars, Marlene is wonderful, checked us in a couple of hours early and was just a delight to deal with esp since the hotel was fully booked the night before. Security & Homeless - We felt very secure, lots of remote cameras in parking lot and an over night security guard. Unhoused people are in most urban centres and Tacoma is no different, you will see evidence of this especially if you make the very easy 20 minute walk (straight road) to the Dome….we did not feel unsafe or worried at all. Room (712) on the 7th floor which faces the freeway (we were checked in early and could have had the other more quite side if we wanted to wait). We could hear a bit of Hwy noise but it really was not a problem….if you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs and you will be fine otherwise I’m just becomes white noise. Our room was spotless (thank you house keeping) and fresh, fridge, microwave, iron, coffee etc deluxe king was category. Everything worked except the wifi which for some reason would not let us sign in, the front desk was aware and hopefully that will be fixed soon, we really didn’t need wifi but did use it in the breakfast room the next morning, which worked perfectly. Breakfast - The hotel was fully booked and it was still good, lots of staff (all friendly), nice selection which was fresh and plentiful, no real protein asides from hard boiled eggs, but lots of other choices of yummy mini waffles and syrup, fresh, fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, muffins, biscuits and gravy, juices, coffee, tea and more…you will find something, but people with gluten or carb issues might not have many options. The breakfast area was spacious and very clean. FYI - There is a $75.00 dollar hold on your credit card for incidentals as their is an on-sight restaurant (we did not try it) and a small shop that you can charge drinks and snacks items to your room. The $75.00 hold on our Visa card was released back to our visa in 24 hours. Check Out - Easy Peasy, Dorothy was full of smiles and asked us how the concert was. Then we were on the I5 on our way home within 2 minutes. All in all, really nothing to fault, our experience was excellent and would stay again without hesitation. Thank you La Quinta Tacoma, keep up the great standards.
