"We only saw the owner the last morning to pay. I had received a message before we arrived, with the instructions and the number of our room. The keys of our room were left on the door and the main door was left open all the time. We don't particularly like this system, but I found this quite often around the UK and Scotland. Also, the owner was always reachable over the phone and everything we requested was done and provided. Our room was big. Breakfast was self service in the room so they provided fresh fruits, milk, yoghurt, orange juice, eggs, bread, jam, butter, tea and coffee every morning. We had a microwave, cutlery, glasses, cups and plates. The negative aspects for us were: - smelly entrance. The carpet looked very old and, together with the smell did not give a good impression - our room was big but too full of stuff. There were blankets and bed nets under the beds and all sorts of paintings, mirrors and bedside tables. It felt too full of things. There was no attention to details in terms of furniture. Mattresses were different in different beds and not great to sleep (however this may be just personal taste). - too much light in our room as the light on the corridor was constantly on and there was a big window on top of the door so it was very bright in the room. Overall, it is a good average solution if you have to stop in Penzance as it is basically on the promenade and only 10 minutes walking from the city centre. "

"Booked for a Sunday roast mid afternoon. Lunch was excellent with Great potatoes, tasty meat and a great selection of veg. Vegetarian option for my other half was also great with a mushroom Wellington. Asked for a cozy quiet spot and they stuck us in the corner right next to the log burner so no complaints and would highly recommend!"
