Del Rey Apartments

We had an amazing stay at Del Rey Apartments! The location is good but a car is recommended. Very close by the High Rise area, Palm beach and bars/restaurants. Quiet and peaceful area. The pool is well maintained and a great place to relax. The staff is incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with anything we needed during our stay. The property is secure, with a gated entrance that allows for safe parking. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Aruba. We will definitely come back!! Stayed here with family.

This must have been a joke. This place bills itself as quiet. I didn't get sleep for 3 nights. The neighbors were so rude and noisy. The walls are paper thin. I asked if there was security. I got a grunt. Guess not. The walkway to my apt is all broken up. Very dangerous. I asked to buy water. No water available. I live on the island. I stayed at 50 places. This was the worse. Anyone who says this is a great place has never stayed at an even good place. Never again and neither will my 50,000 followers.

We absolutely loved our stay here, the young couple who run it were very polite and accommodating. We arrived a week before my sister and the day before she arrived I mentioned to the young lady that my sister was coming so they very kindly put my sister in the room next to ours. We found the rooms very nice , the beds were comfortable, the bathroom had plenty of room with a walk in shower and Aloe shower gel and shampoo. Clean towels every other day and towels to take to the pool, there’s a washing machine and dryer just a short distance from the pool which you pay a small charge to use. We were up stairs so had a balcony with a table and three chairs . There are two supermarkets 5 minutes walk away and my daughter love going to yen yens a bar which does go into the early hours ( this is opposite one of the supermarkets) I would recommend a hire car if you want to explore the island but there are tour companies you could book excursions with . We will definitely be booking to stay at Del-Rey again .

First, I would like to acknowledge that the staff were very helpful. Beau is very knowledgeable about Aruba, and let me have a late checkout. There's also an older couple that run the place, and the man let me borrow his charging cable. The pool is also nice, and the air conditioning works. But, that's about as far as it goes for positives. This apartment complex is very very old, and it shows. To give you an idea, the locks on the doors use the traditional metal key, rather than a plastic electronic key. Between the peeling paint, rust, and everything else that indicates wear and tear, this is not the kind of property that you would want to take a nice date. But, that wasn't the real problem. The real issues were as follows: The location is perilous. There's only about 1 restaurant within walking distance, and a Chinese mini market. The road heading to these locations is filled with dangerous dogs, who growl, bark, snarl, and snap at anyone passing by. Thankfully most of them are behind fences or walls at these houses, otherwise I would probably have some bite marks at best. Everything else is over 2 miles away, which is way too far to walk given the searing heat of the island. Then there's the exceedingly loud noise. This place is next door to some kind of chicken coop. There are roosters and hens constantly crowing and squawking at all hours of the night, making it very difficult to sleep. I don't know why the island regulators would allow someone to build a chicken coop right next to a residence where people are living. Not healthy! Also, the stupid local hoodlums deliberately race and backfire their motorcycles at 3 o'clock in the morning as well, waking you up in addition to the chicken and dog sounds. After taxes and fees it was over $100 a night to stay here. That's no where close to the amount of value provided. No breakfast or food of any kind to be found on the property, and if you want house cleaning, it's every other day. I personally would not return unless there were some major changes. But, if you plan on staying up all night, and have a rental car, I suppose it could be worth it as a much lower price, depending on your preference.

Nette, schone en ruime appartementen. Fijn groot zwembad erbij, rustig gelegen, supermarkt dichtbij. Voldoende bedjes aanwezig. Prima plek om te verbleven indien je een auto tot je beschikking hebt. Del Rey ligt niet op loopafstand van stranden nl. Aanrader!

Een heerlijk verblijf op een super ligging. Lekker centraal. Op 10 minuten wandelen ben je op Palm Beach en de uitgaans strip. Beste prijs kwaliteitverhouding op het eiland. Met een heerlijk eigen zwembad met waterval en jacuzzi. Zeer vriendelijke staff, ze proberen je echt een mooi verblijf te bieden en zijn zeer voorkomend. Verder is het afgesloten eigen parkeerterrein zeker een plus. De eventuele huurauto staat snachts dus op een afgesloten parkeerplaats. Al met al absoluut een aanrader als je naar Aruba komt.
