"The Richland is a pleasant building, but in a very noisy location. We booked an "upgraded king", not knowing that this room opens directly on Maple Avenue and is also right on the corner of Maple and Orange. Across the street is a Culinary Dropout restaurant that had late night and very early morning truck deliveries (with trucks left running for what seemed like an eternity). During the day, the restaurant was being powerwashed up until about 6 p.m. The main hotel is set back off the street, and has to be better quieter (except, as other reviews note, during weddings, which this hotel really seems to cater to). Culinary Dropout is not yet open, but like its San Diego twin, is supposed to feature life music, sports bar, etc., so good luck with that if you decide to stay here. On a positive note, we appreciated that there is no wall to wall carpet in this room, and that you can open a window for some fresh air (and noise...)."
Alo Hotel by Ayres, Orange
"I stayed here for two nights to watch an MLB game and visit California Disney. This time I traveled by public transport, and the bus stop was right in front, which was convenient. The parking lot was also large, so it was good for people using rental cars. The hotel rooms were very spacious, and there was a pool and jacuzzi, so it was comfortable. Breakfast was included, and I was very satisfied with fruit, yogurt, etc. The welcome coffee service was also good. All the staff were also very friendly and greeted me often. I would like to use this hotel again next time."

"Very close to Disneyland, only 10 minutes drive. There is a highway downstairs, which is very noisy at night. If you are a light sleeper, it is not recommended. The area around the hotel is very safe, there is a Target nearby, you can move a box of water and other supplies. It is not as bustling as the city, there are few people, and the sky is very blue. I like it very much."
