"We stayed for three days, and it was enjoyable. The room was spotlessly clean, the sea view from the balcony of the room is magnificent. The hotel is in an excellent location, in Kitroplatia, a stone's throw from the center of Ag. Nikolaos and the lake. The beach and the sea in front of the hotel are crystal clear, you literally leave the hotel and dive into the sea. The breakfast, which we enjoyed on the platform by the sea, was very good and "Make your Dakos" was a great idea. The dinner was delicious and filling and the treatment impeccable. The staff is very friendly and Antonis, the manager, is next to you smiling to help you with whatever you ask. Overall Kitro is a gem and the value for money of the stay is 11 out of 10."

"Just returned from a 10 day stay here, I don't know where to start it was just amazing, fabulous luxury accomodation, amazing reception staff Lydia and Liene could not do enough for us. We arrived late at night but were emailed a map to our apartment and the key was left on the door. What awaited was a wonderful spotlessly clean apartment. When we got up in the morning we looked for our sea view as we had booked a suite with a sea view....there wasn't one so we went to reception and were advised it was a side sea view....they have now changed the description on the website, I'm afraid a side sea view is stretching it really, more of a side sea peek...no matter, without quibble we were offered an apartment with a roof top terrace a second terrace with a jacuzzi and it was just FABULOUS. Breakfast was great amazing scrambled eggs and a good choice of continental meats, cheeses pastries and fruit. The staff once again are so friendly and make you feel so special. It would be good to have some proper coffee on offer as the machine was not great. These apartments are superb in accomodation, location to the beach 5 minute walk, 2 great restaurants a very limited super market and a cafe which does sell amazing coffee. Best restaurant and service is the Faedra Beach, there Moussaka is the best I have ever tasted and their staff are amazing. All in all a great holiday, a bit off the tourist track, but we liked that. We missed having a walk before dinner as there was no promenade and the main road away from the two restaurants is very dark, but we would return here so thank you Beach Walk we will be back. "Bueno no recomiendo para nada este hotel ...si quieren perder vuestro dinero y arruinar vuestras vacaciones ir porque nos hemos sentido maltratadas . En primer lugar por un error en el numero de reserva nos querían dejar en la calle , en medio de la nada, puesto que el hotel está bastante aislado y perdido entre olivos, en vez de intentar solucionar el problema tuvimos que llamar a nuestra agencia de viajes la cual nos lo solucionó desde España, puesto que tanto el personal de recepción como los encargados se lavaron las manos y más allá de ayudarnos nos ignoraban y nos hicieron sentir fatal hasta el punto de hacernos llorar. Buenos las habitaciones están muy lejos de satisfacer las expectativas de un hotel de 5 estrellas...hormigas...azulejos rotos ducha y bañera sin mamparas etc ...más que un hotel es la casa del terror...aun así al estar en medio de la nada hemos pasado los cuatro días como hemos podido mi hija y yo....A la hora de irnos pedimos que por favor nos llamarán un taxi y el personal tan maleducado y prepotente nos dicen que lo busquemos en Google y que ellos no hablan sino inglés y que no los moleste....yo personalmente no recomiendo este hotel para nada nos vamos con muy mal sabor de boca puesto que veníamos con otras expectativas y ha sido una estancia de maltrato y supervivencia sin ningún tipo de comodidad....y la comida mejor no les comentó ...solo decir que el todo incluido es lo que ellos consideren no Todo...espero ayudar para que no os estropeen vuestras vacaciones que con tanto esfuerzo ,trabajo e ilusión preparamos. Sin duda el peor hotel del mundo!!!!!"

"We stayed here for 4 nights. I had booked a sea view room, but they said it was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi was nice and relaxing, the sea view was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. The property is located in a remote and peaceful part of the island. It has excellent internet access and a decent outdoor gym. Since it is right by the sea, you can enjoy walking or running along the coast to the nearest town, Mavrikianon. One important thing to mention is that the property does not have direct access to the sea. To swim, you need to go to either Plaka Beach, which requires a minimum spend of €40 per person to use the sunbeds, or to Mavrikianon Beach, which is much more affordable at €5 per person for the entire day. Mavrikianon Beach is very pleasant and close to markets where you can buy drinks. There are also some good food and drink spots nearby, such as Rudi’s Bar, a British-style pub, and Porto Rino, which serves great pizzas. Make sure to skip Nico’s Fish Tavern and try the Ferryman instead — you won’t regret it. What we found most frustrating was the lack of mosquito screens on the windows. Sleeping with the windows open was not really an option, even though the natural breeze was wonderful. Our room had air conditioning, but we tend to get sick sleeping with it on. There was a ceiling fan as well, but it is a shame to miss out on the fresh air simply because of a missing screen. The breakfast was also a disappointment. There were very few options, the coffee was not good, and the omelettes were overcooked. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the parking system. You have to check in and out with security every time, which felt excessive and time-consuming. It gave the impression of entering a high-security zone, not a relaxing holiday resort. Overall, it was a good experience with some nice features, but for the price, it lacks comfort and convenience in a few key areas. ."

"We stayed at this resort from 16 July 2026 for six nights, and unfortunately our experience did not live up to our expectations. Our first impression was that the resort looked a little tired and in need of refurbishment. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken to our room by golf buggy. We were fortunate to be allocated a room close to reception and the restaurant because this is a very large resort with lots of steep hills and many flights of steps. If you have mobility issues or struggle with walking, I would not recommend this resort. The room itself was comfortable and mostly clean, although one of the towels had a large yellow stain on it. One thing worth noting is that you cannot flush toilet paper, so all used tissue must be disposed of in a bathroom bin. The pool areas were mixed. The upper pool had green staining around the edges and what appeared to be some exposed sharp metal edging in places, which didn’t inspire confidence. The main pool was a decent size, and my son really enjoyed the water slides. However, the water was extremely salty, leaving salt residue on our skin, hair and swimwear, and it stung our eyes. Also, be prepared for a workout—there are 81 steps down to the pool, which also means 81 steps back up again. The biggest disappointment was the food and the handling of allergies. My children and I all have coeliac disease, and despite informing the hotel, we experienced repeated issues with cross-contamination. I personally suffered with a severe stomach upset for six of the six days we were there, and my son also became ill with stomach pain and vomiting. I personally witnessed the chef using the same tongs to handle gluten-containing chicken nuggets, then mixing gluten-free chips with those same tongs before returning to cook chicken that was also supposed to be gluten-free. I reported this to the restaurant manager, who unfortunately didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of the issue. We were then referred to the operations manager, who was extremely helpful and took the complaint seriously. Sadly, I later witnessed the chef cross-contaminating food again later in the week. Anyone with coeliac disease or serious food allergies should exercise extreme caution when eating here. Another incident that concerned us happened during breakfast one morning. Staff were mopping up what appeared to be sewage coming up through a drain in the middle of the restaurant floor. The smell was unpleasant, and towels had been placed on the floor to absorb the liquid while guests continued eating around the area. Shortly afterwards, maintenance staff lifted a floor tile and inserted a long pipe into another drain, apparently attempting to clear the blockage. I was later told they carried the pipe back through the dining area while people were still eating. In my opinion, the restaurant should have been closed temporarily for health and safety reasons, as sewage and food service simply should not mix. The staff throughout the resor"

"We stayed for 3 nights in the deluxe room with the mini pool, and unfortunately, they weren't pleasant. The hotel is located near the center and the beach, and that's the only positive aspect. Parking is difficult to find, as there are never any free spaces in the streets near the hotel, and the public parking lot a few meters away is always full. Breakfast is very poor, consisting of salad, hard-boiled eggs, bread, and a tray of grapes. We had to ask if it was possible to have something sweet, and they made us some frozen apple puff pastry. The room is very small, and the shower, being small and doorless, causes water to leak all over the bathroom. Cleanliness could be improved; one evening, returning from dinner, we found a cockroach in the room, and there were hairs from previous guests near the bed. The mini pool had also not been cleaned, as there was sand and hair in it when we arrived. During a 3-night stay, the towels were never changed."

"First and foremost, the hotel's facilities, cleanliness, food, and service all meet the standards of a good hotel. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Nikolaos, just a few minutes' walk from the port and the local center. There's no on-site parking, but valet parking is available (free, tipping is optional). Almost all water tours depart from the port next door, making this hotel incredibly convenient. The scenery is stunning. However, Nikolaos is located near the easternmost point of Crete, about an hour's drive from the popular city of Heraklion and about four hours from Chania. If you're coming from the west specifically to stay at this hotel, public transportation is time-consuming, taxis are expensive, and driving is simply too arduous."

"We spent the amazing week there. We had very nice spacious comfortable room, always clean. In the restaurant we had tasty traditional meals. I appreciate the home-felt approach of the stuff with everything we needed. We enjoyed in the morning a view on the adjacent rocks and in the evening illuminated by the setting sun to red like in the painting. We made several trips (to Chrissi island, Elounda, Sitia or The Knossoss palace) so I consider driving distance to anywhere we needed as fine. The overall impression of the hotel is fantastic.
