"An overdue review. My hubby and I stayed about a year and a half ago. It was the break we needed. We have been to many Greek islands, so we didn't need to explore; we just needed a break from a busy life for nine days, which was glorious. The rooms were the most sumptuous and well-designed we've ever stayed in. The service was top-notch, professional and friendly. The food (and they accommodated my gluten allergy - even the sushi!) was delicious. The gym was lovely and well equipped, even with reformer machines for pilates. The short bus ride to their stunning beach club is worth it. The pools are beautiful. Just a note - we hadn't stayed at an Aman before, so we didn't realise they don't give you the bill at the end of your meal or whenever you order. On the one hand, that's nice, but for people like us who want to know what we're spending, we would prefer to be offered the bill option. So, every time we asked - people were confused. We were confused because we didn't realise that was a part of the "experience". One other odd thing, every morning for the first 4 days, we were awakened by a chronic pelting sound to our windows. We thought maybe it was a woodpecker, but the spacing was too far apart. It sounded like rocks pelting our window, but then we thought maybe it was an AC thing since it was such a specific timing and pattern. It happened every morning at about 6 a.m. When we would get up to check or raise the blinds, it would stop for the rest of the morning. We did tell management. When we checked, we found the oddest and clearly deliberate rock formation outside our room every morning. Freaky. Other than that, it was lovely. My hubby and I usually go away to unwind. We're not particularly ambitious (a.k.a. lazy) travellers that must pack it all in. We work hard at a leisurely, if nothing at all, pace in very comfortable accommodations. This fit the bill amazingly. "

"We really enjoyed our stay there. A family with two little children. Hotel room was ok. Clean, had a problem with the AC that was solved but not fast. Besides that the food was excellent the pool bar was also good and the guy responsible there awesome. I wish I could remember his name. All the staff was helpful but this particular one was great. Porto Heli is worth to visit so all in all a good holiday suggestion."
