«¡Este hotel es muy recomendable! Al principio tenía mis dudas tras ver tantas buenas reseñas, pero tras registrarme, puedo confirmar que en este hotel el cliente es lo primero. Mi familia y yo vinimos de viaje a Ipoh desde Johor Bahru y llegamos al hotel una o dos horas antes de la hora prevista (hora de entrada: 15:00). Para mi sorpresa, nos permitieron entrar antes, lo cual fue genial porque estaba un poco cansado después de conducir varias horas. El servicio de recepción fue muy amable, la habitación estaba muy limpia y la limpiaban a diario, el desayuno también estuvo bien, hay aparcamiento privado con guardias de seguridad, pero el espacio es un poco limitado y suele estar lleno, así que no me extraña que tanta gente recomiende este hotel. ¡Un precio muy económico que merece la pena!»

«Stayed at Travelodge Ipoh and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was a bit small, but still cozy enough for a good sleep.
The facilities were good too — the gym and swimming pool are free to use and quite standard for a comfortable stay. One of the best parts was the breakfast, with so many types of food and choices available.
Another plus point is the free parking provided for hotel guests, which made everything more convenient. Overall, a good stay and worth considering when visiting Ipoh!»

«Location is great as walking distance to Parkson Mall and Restaurants around the row of shops opps and beside the hotel. Breakfast selection not bad with Asean and Western choices. Parking lane a bit difficult esp at the corner areas. Free parking at the basement and to tip TnGo or debit or credit Card before driving out of the hotel. Nice view of the misty mountain side in the early morning. Room is not sound proof so can hear if baby crying or kids screaming or making loud noises next to your room. Overall a good place to stay.»

«Newly renovated with great self-service check in system, though some details need attention.
Overall, I really liked the newly renovated room. The self-service process is seamless, and the message guidelines are very clear—though the video quality could be improved, it was still easy enough to understand.
A few things to note:
Parking: The underground car park doesn't have a direct link to the main building (likely because it's an older building that was refurbished).
Room Details: The bedsheets were worn to the point of pilling ,and the curtain holder fell off during my stay, possibly due to the wall material.
Despite these minor maintenance issues, I was satisfied with the renovation details. Everything still feels very fresh and new!»

«The room rate was affordable and included free breakfast. The booking was actually for two people, but I stayed alone.
There are a few areas that could be improved. The room looked quite worn out, and the hygiene could be better. The bedsheet had stains that could not be cleaned off.
The water pressure was also very low. Unfortunately, my room was facing a shop lot with a disco, and the loud music and vibrations continued until around 2am, making it difficult to sleep.
On the positive side, the hotel provided two bottles of water, coffee, toothbrushes, and shower caps. Two small bottles of shower gel and shampoo were also provided, although there was no tissue box in the room.
Security felt good, with a standard hotel door lock system and lift access restricted to room card holders only.
The breakfast was good, with a standard Malaysian-style selection. Considering the room rate, it felt quite generous.
They also provide basement parking, which is very convenient for guests traveling by car.»

«First time booking apartment for family holiday. At first not sure if we make a right choice. Till we experience and stay, confirmed right choice and no regret!
The whole stay from drive through key collection point, parked n open up the unit door, all above our expectation and seamless experience.
The unit is very well ID designed and with good function including kitchen. Drinking water LG brand machine was provided so we all can easily access to drinking water. Washing machine come with drying function provided. Bedroom bed is so comfortable. All basic amenities were provided and unit is clean.
It’s a good place and good fengshui house for family bonding.
The condo facility all look new and well kept. I’ve used its swimming pool, Onsen pool with jacuzzi and sauna. As only one night stay so didn’t experience it’s gym only.
The platform owner was very nice and helpful. As we need help with the drinking water machine etc, they are approachable and responsive. Two sets of access card and key was provided make our life so convenient since we were there in two separate cars.
With the ID design house, no wonder need to pay deposit of RM200. Surely acceptable. Refund of deposit was also fast and immediately after we check out.
Thanks for everything. We all enjoy the stay very much. Looking forward to return to stay again soon. Keep up the good work.

Top-Notch Entertainment Facilities - A Total Surprise!
This place is more than just a private pool; it's a full-blown private entertainment hub! What our group of friends loved most:
· Private Karaoke System: The KTV setup was awesome with a massive, up-to-date song library. We found all the latest hits, classics, and Cantonese songs
· Retro Arcade Games & Pool Table: The arcade cabinet had so many classic games for a serious nostalgia trip. After that, switching to a competitive game of pool kept the energy high. These facilities really made our trip unforgettable.
Thoughtful Touches That Made All the Difference
Beyond the fun, it was the thoughtful details that truly impressed us:
· Water Dispenser in the Kitchen: Incredibly convenient! No need to boil water or buy loads of bottles. Having instant hot and cold water on tap was a game-changer.

The facilities were remarkably clean and tidy. My companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did not have any food as we only stayed for the night.

UUsuario invitadoThe BEST hostel I’ve been in my 7 countries Asian trip. The location, the services, the cleaniliness, the attention, all were great.
The hotel is on a renovated old building with exquisite details and curated decoration elements.
Everything is clean. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are big enough to have your small backpack in it. There’s a curtain for privacy and it wasn’t crowded. The other guest were very mindful of others. This hotel is relatively new, they opened in Nov 2025 so, it’s still getting known in the travel world.
You can use the kitchen that has all the implements to cook, store items in the fridge and prepare a breakfast with ingredients that the hotel provides… free, great breakfast!
If you need a towel they give you one at no charge… for now.
The location is great. You can walk to the old town of the city and Concubine ln. It’s a really nice walk. That part of the city saw a past splendor and the buildings show it. There are several restaurants around, even some fast food.
Two things I would review if I was the owner… I waited for an hr before getting my room while other people got settled immediately. My dorm only had 2 ppl in it, the room was ready when I got there. If you have a bed available, just give away even when there’s no the time. It means a lot to the guest that in general has been traveling long hrs, especially if it’s a small place with not many people.
The other thing is to teach us (ignorant westerners), how to use the electric shower heater. I couldn’t make it work because I couldn’t find the on/off button. A small sign could have solved my and others’ frustrations.
The owners are doing an excellent job at the hotel. I’m planning to come back so I’ll be a guest again at the Brownstone.

UUsuario invitadoFor the price, I think it is a reasonable option. However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. They only cleaned 1. I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.
All in all, it was a decent stay. Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.

Checked into a room with awful smoke smell and front desk staff sent front office personnel up pretty quickly with ioniser but I insisted to change room as smoke smell usually stick to the linen and hard to get rid which the staff immediately respond well to it. I personally think the housekeeping staff should take note of cleaning the mold in between the shower tile. Pretty gross!

- aire acondicionado muy, muy pobre. Estuvimos sudando toda la noche. Llamé al mantenimiento pero no se hizo nada. Realmente decepcionado
- El baño es bastante pequeño y se encuentran manchas aquí y allá.
- los respiraderos estaban llenos de polvo
