«Excellent stay! Every staff member was lovely and professional, making us feel truly welcome. The breakfast was amazing—great variety and quality. We tried tray service one morning, and the food was perfect, with no complaints at all. Can't praise them enough!»

«The room was bigger than expected and for the most part clean, (the bin in the bathroom was under sink and the lid was filthy). We ordered the charcuterie and local cheese board for 2 and a large baked camembert for 2 as starters. Before I continue I thought I had made an appointment to discuss the matter with the manager prior to leaving, with Darren the night before leaving as an info board said if you can't score us 10 tell us how we can improve, which wasn't the case as it turned out. Nothing identified the cheese as local and I don't think it was, there were 4 pieces of silver skin pickled onions as an accompaniment, no grapes or crudités, also the 'charcuterie' seemed to be prepacked from one of the larger supermarkets, with six crackers and no butter for either, between 2 people. Futhermore you are only allowed 2 slices of bread for the large camembert. I then had the lamb shank with butter mash and sautéed vegetables, all of which was completely inedible, the skin on the lamb was grey and the meat solid lumps of solid black that smelt and tasted bad, the mash and gravy was a messy greasy slop and the sautéed vegetables just soft greasy cold inedible stuff. My partner had butter chicken, which was ok, however the accompanying salad so vinegary as to be inedible. The current owners have been there a year unyet the only info you can get on parking suggests £10pd although in fact it is £15, given the room prices it makes it extortionate. There are no ashtrays in a very tatty garden, which no-one seems to clear up. The paid breakfast with booking is not a buffet, not is the continental breakfast, which does have a very limited selection buffet style, like any continental breakfast I have had in similarly price hotels, there being no meats or cheeses. I was not offered an itemised bill at checkout, appalling service. I cannot recommend these premises at all for the manner it is advertised.»

«What a lovely hotel !! For the price I paid I was very impressed with the hotel and the service. Very clean, plenty of staff. Room spotless and new and bright. Shower marvelous, as was breakfast. They kept my bag for me so I could have a wander around before my train home. Superb. Will definitely stay again. Bath was beautiful in sunset.»

«Me gusta mucho el estilo de decoración de este hotel y el servicio del hotel también es muy cálido. Sin embargo, la primera noche me asignaron la habitación 503 en el segundo piso. La habitación era pequeña y la vista desde la ventana no lo era. Bueno, la clave es que afuera de la ventana está la enorme campana extractora del restaurante del hotel. El trabajo era tan ruidoso que mis amigos y yo no pudimos dormir en medio de la noche, y la campana extractora no paró hasta las tres. en punto de la noche. Al día siguiente fuimos al hotel y pedimos cambiar de habitación. El hotel dijo que lo sentían y que harían todo lo posible para organizar un cambio. Al mediodía, efectivamente me había cambiado a una habitación en el segundo piso que daba a la calle. Era más grande y tenía una mejor vista. La clave era que ya no tenía que preocuparme por el ruido de la campana extractora. El personal del hotel también nos ayudó con entusiasmo a reservar billetes de autobús de larga distancia en el ordenador. El desayuno del hotel también es muy bueno. El desayuno inglés requiere reserva el día anterior. Además, el hotel cobrará un depósito de 50 libras por día al momento del check-in. Espero que puedas obtener un reembolso dentro de las dos semanas posteriores a tu salida del hotel. Han pasado tres días y no he recibido ningún mensaje de reembolso.»

«Central location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an ”average” measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is.»
