We enjoyed our stay at Doubletree Zhongshan. Location is super convenient. The MTR station is a 5 minute walk and there’s a lot of nice restaurants and shops within a 15-20 minute walking radius. There’s also a park and a fruit stand.

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Este precio ofrece una excelente calidad de vida en el centro de Taiwán. La ubicación es muy conveniente, el transporte es muy práctico, el desayuno vale la pena y la habitación es lo suficientemente grande para dos personas. Sin embargo, no esperes un gimnasio de alta gama, solo una cinta de correr.

¡Un hostal muy agradable! Las habitaciones son algo pequeñas, así que no hay sitio para guardar la maleta o la mochila; hay que llevarla al pie de la cama. Buenas instalaciones: lavadora y secadora, cafetera, desayuno, taquillas... ¡Los baños se limpian con regularidad!

Hotel location is very convenient, just behind Mitsukoshi Department and across Taipei Main Station. Very good for catching early morning train as us. Look out for the lift lobby, is just beyond the boba tea shop, lobby is 5th level. Plenty of food options around the area.

Nos hemos alojado aquí varias veces en los últimos dos años y es perfecto para nosotros. El espacio es relativamente pequeño, pero suficiente para dos personas, y la ubicación es ideal. Se puede ir andando a Ximending, Beimen, la Estación Central y las principales zonas comerciales.

Disfruté mucho de mi estancia aquí a pesar de la falta de servicios como piscina o spa. La ubicación es muy conveniente: justo enfrente se encuentra la animada zona de Ximending, perfecta para ir de compras, comer en la calle y disfrutar de diversas actividades. En el mismo edificio, encontrarás un 7-Eleven con temática de Hello Kitty y un restaurante Sushiro, que recomiendo muchísimo; la comida estaba absolutamente deliciosa. El desayuno buffet ofrece una selección limitada de platos principales, pero el menú cambia a diario y todo lo que probé estaba delicioso.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, cerca de las principales atracciones. El barrio de Ximending está a unos 10 minutos andando, donde puedes encontrar mucha movida, bares, restaurantes, tiendas de ropa etc. La habitación es básica y funcional, con un aire acondicionado potente que es muy importante en Taipéi con el calor que hace. La presión de ducha está bien y la cama es bastante cómoda. En líneas generales está bien, solo que el proceso de checkin podría ser un poco mejor. En el lobby te dejaban esperando hasta las 15:30 puntuales que es el horario del check in. A lo mejor si fueran dando las habitaciones apenas las van teniendo, no se les acumularía tanta gente en la recepción e incluso sería más eficiente para los recepcionistas, ya que a partir de las 15:30 ya se los veía un poco agobiados. Nos dejaron dejar la maleta una noche ya que viajamos a Jiufen para pasar la noche allí, por lo que eso suma un punto a favor. Volveremos para nuestros últimos días de viaje.

Sólo utilizando el wifi de su alojamiento podrá conectarse con éxito a la nube y enviar los datos electrónicos a la habitación. El proceso requiere un número de teléfono de Taiwán para verificación. Recuerde tomar una captura de pantalla del número de habitación y la contraseña de la puerta. La habitación está ordenada, con nevera, lámpara de noche y baño limpio. Vaya directamente al callejón del lado derecho de la puerta y verá el mercado nocturno de Shilin.

El personal del hotel es un chico guapo que es bastante amigable. Las instalaciones son muy antiguas. Las luces de la habitación son tenues y no lo suficientemente brillantes. El hotel está muy cerca del Mercado Nocturno del Aeropuerto Sur. Se tarda siete u ocho minutos en llegar caminando. No hay nada que hacer cerca excepto el mercado nocturno.
