Many stores and restaurants stay open year-round! Custer has many fall/winter events. We are about 1 hour from skiing at Terry Peak. We are at a higher altitude....some people will feel the affects of the higher elevation so if you are not used to it, be sure to rest and hydrate!WHAT RESTAURANTS ARE OPEN YEAR-ROUND?The Custer Wolf, Custer Beacon, Skogen, Buglin' Bull, Hjem AM, Sauce and Dough, Pizza Mill, Pizza Hut, Subway and Maria's Mexican are a few of the restaurants that are open year-round (although many take an extended break in the winter.)IS THERE A PLACE TO RENT BIKES AND UTVS?YES! Black Hills Power Bikes is a great way to see the Mickelson Trail. For UTV/ATV rental we recommend Hill City Adventures. Also, if you need a bike shuttle, there's Dave's Adventure Tours. HOW MANY HIKING/BIKING TRAILS ARE THERE?We have over 70 miles of hiking in and around the park.
