I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, being conveniently situated right within the JR station. The room was spacious and offered a great view, and the public bath was a lovely way to relax. I also appreciated the unique ”pillow corner” where you can choose your preferred pillow for a better night's sleep. One helpful tip for future guests: if you have any requests or queries, it is much easier to go to the front desk in person. The staff are wonderful, but most do not speak English, which can make it difficult to communicate effectively over the hotel phone.

Muy bien situado. ¡Muchas opciones de comida justo al lado. JR estación dentro de piedras tira. Estrada directa a la ciudad y hacia el hotel, así que es fácil de encontrar. La habitación de la habitación era muy pequeña, y me alegro de que nos pudieron poner a un precio más grande. Imagine que se escalpe en una cama 1.1 metros de ancho para dos pax!

- microwave and washing machine in the room(recommended to buy Hakodate milk and heat it up using microwave, make your own milktea using free tea bag from hotel) - great location, right beside hakodate morning market - there is a Hot spring bath with sea view - free coffee and a comfortable lounge with sea view - unpleasant check-in experience, one of the staff is impatient - No bottled water provided in the room. Check-in experience was a bit unpleasant when we arrived earlier (we knew we were early and weren’t requesting for early check-in). One of the male staff was quite unfriendly and kept repeating “no early check-in” when we were just asking whether we could store our luggage before check-in. He seemed quite impatient throughout. However, the rest of the staff were good, and even lent us a knife and cutting board to cut the melon we bought. Location is great, right beside the morning market, and only about a 7-minute walk to the JR station. We came during spring so the walk was totally fine.

A la mañana siguiente fuimos al mercado de mariscos y volvimos después de las once, por lo que no recibimos la llamada recordatoria de recepción y llegamos más de media hora tarde para el check-out. La chica taiwanesa de recepción habló por teléfono con el supervisor y finalmente no nos cobró dinero extra, lo cual fue toda una suerte.

Stayed here last week during heavy snowfall, and choosing this ryokan turned out to be the perfect decision. Check-in was detailed and thoughtful. The butler, who I believe was named Junko, spent about 30 minutes explaining the room, amenities, and house rules, using picture cards and translation tools due to limited English, which made the process clear and smooth. The room was cosy with a beautiful ocean view. The furnishings are not modern, but that is part of the charm, as it feels like stepping back into the 80s or 90s while still being well maintained and fully functional. Heating was sufficient even in temperatures of -5 to -10 degrees. The room was clean, and the bedding was prepared during dinner and folded again at breakfast, which made us feel very well taken care of. We pre-ordered dinner and breakfast via Trip.com and requested a beef and crab set in advance, which was accommodated. The portions were very generous, and while the food may not be top-tier, it was better than many ryokans I have stayed at. There is a private onsen available free for the first use for 45 minutes, with additional charges for subsequent sessions. The onsen closes daily at 10am for cleaning. The ryokan is located in Yunokawa Onsen, about 30 minutes from town. I recommend dining in, as going out requires a walk and staying in allows you to fully enjoy the experience. Overall, a very pampering stay. Highly recommended for those looking for a five-star level ryokan experience.

excellent location infront of Hakodate JR station, within walking distance to many attractions and food options! there’s a ValueMax right behind, which is a huge supermarket that sells many freshly prepared bentos, cooked food, onigiris etc that are cheaper than most konbinis

We had a wonderful stay at Hakodate Kokusai Hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, making it very convenient for exploring Hakodate. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. There was a great selection, including fresh seafood, beef, and other meat dishes, offering something for everyone. The quality and variety made each morning a real treat. We also thoroughly enjoyed the onsen experience. It was clean, relaxing, and the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, Hakodate Kokusai Hotel offers a great combination of convenience, excellent dining, and relaxing facilities. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hakodate.

Sake ilimitado, una bandeja de tempura y diversos productos horneados de Hokkaido, leche y miel: ¡tan abundante que me preocupa que el hotel esté perdiendo dinero! La habitación tiene 30 metros cuadrados e incluye cocina y lavadora: ¡absurdamente grande para cualquier hotel en Japón! En la primera planta también hay una fuente termal natural que está abierta las 24 horas, así que puedes darte un baño cuando quieras.
