"This is obviously not the five-star experience of the (expensive) hotel next door, but if you’re looking for a perfectly located hotel (50m from the Place aux Foires), with free car parking space (behind the hotel) and convenient rooms, just don’t look any further! The hotel is located above a bookshop (reception desk can be found in the shop, rooms are accessible by a separate door once checked in) and run by a friendly, hard-working family. In summer, breakfast can be taken from the terrace overlooking the Ourthe river. For the less mobile hosts: please note that the hotel has no elevator. Conclusion: this was a great choice for our long weekend in Durbuy. Highly recommended."

"Very nice discovery a few minutes from Durbuy. The establishment is located in a quiet and green environment. Very good welcome. The Wellness is nice, well equipped. The only thing is that if you want peace and relaxation, I advise you to avoid the slot where children are allowed (note that this is not at all a criticism, children obviously also have the right to benefit from the center). The restaurant is really very, very good, delicious dishes and a cozy setting. Special mention to the staff who are really top notch! The room is also very good, clean, spacious and well equipped. The only downside is the insufficient soundproofing, you can hear too much noise from the corridor and sometimes also from the rooms next door. Other than that, nothing to say. Very pleasant breakfast, well stocked. In conclusion, we had a very pleasant stay in this establishment which I recommend without any worries :) And as already said, a special mention to the really great staff! Thanks to them :)"

"Vivimos en el Tropical Hotel por segunda vez el 25 de mayo de 2026, y otra vez todo fue perfecto. La recepción es siempre tan caliente, se siente bien recibido y cómodo. El restaurante es excelente, los platos son deliciosos y el servicio incondicional. También tuvimos la oportunidad de intercambiar con el jefe, que nos contó su vida con mucha sinceridad. Su historia nos ha tocado enormemente y ha hecho que este momento sea aún más especial. Una experiencia muy bonita que recomendamos sin hesitar. Volveremos con gran placer."

"The room was very comfortable and the room was very dark 🍅 There was a very dark room with no much outside light compared to the other 3 rooms. We were 7. The breakfast is not warm enough coffee, mini pistols and mini chocolate bread .. . freezes , a little charcuteries, confectionery, cheese triangle to bake .... we were a little disappointed otherwise everything is okay."
