The Beijing Wild Vegetable Farm hotel is located on Xidui Main Street in Gubeikou Town< The Wild Vegetable Factory features wooden structures as its main architectural feature, with many ancient farming tools and antique calligraphy and paintings displayed in the courtyard, giving it a touch of ancient inn atmosphere. Every rockery, fish pond, lamp, and small ornament here perfectly complements the surrounding environment. The farmhouse has various room types, which are clean, bright, and well-equipped. Each room has its own exclusive name< In addition, self-service barbecue, bonfire fields and other entertainment facilities are also readily available. The restaurant can accommodate around 150 people at the same time. The antique wooden tables and chairs create a passionate visual experience of the space, making people feel extremely happy< The dishes are rich and affordable, including mixed wild vegetables, eight bowls, and stewed mushrooms with firewood. These heart warming delicacies are all prepared using fresh ingredients from farmers in the current season, which are tender and delicious, emitting the unique natural flavor of the ingredients themselves. Despite what I read on the reviews here, our stay was disappointing to say the least. We were booked for two nights but left after the first. The property held a banquet the night we checked in. It was fine initially with the noise but then the guests were smoking and the smoke permeated to the second floor where the rooms were. Some of the guests stayed in the rooms after the banquet and, yes, it was not till past midnight when all the commotions died down.
We packed up and left first thing in the morning without breakfast. Not recommending anyone here unfortunately.

An amazing stay in the guest house run by a very welcoming family. The hotel provides very good service, you can arrange taxi services to the different sites from the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean.
The breakfast was big, with really good pancakes, soups and fruits. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Gubeikou.

The rooms on 2. floor are a bit small, but still ok. Shower is good.
The food they serve, is great. And big portions!
Also you can start the "Gubeikou-Jinshaling" hike just nearby.

The hotel is located in a rural area and is perfect if you truly want to experience local lifestyle for a very good price. It is just over a kilometer away from the Wall and can easily be reached by foot. The Water Town is just over 8km away and can be reached by foot, taxi or bus. The staff were wonderful and very helpful! They blessed us with a huge breakfast in the morning.

It was a lovely guesthouse, and we had an amazing time here. It's close to the north entrance of the Gubeikou great wall. They can't speak English, but they have a great translation tool.
We came early to drop off our luggage, but we were able to check in already. When we came back after our long hike, they served a great meal. The breakfast was huge and really nice.
They helped us really well when our train was canceled and we got stuck in the village. Their taxi service is amazing.

Super helpful guesthouse very close to one trailhead to the Wall. They have mastered the English translation app so it is not a problem if you don't speak Chinese. They can help organize affordable transportation - for example, one of us got dropped off at Panlongshan to hike to Jinshanling and the other got dropped at Jinshanling and the driver waited for 3 to 4 hours for us to return us both back to Gubeikou. It might be worth asking if they can pick you up at the train station because the taxi guy we had didn't know where this place was.
Big breakfasts and dinners! Perhaps the biggest breakfast we have had in China! Lovely Grandma of the house- always making sure you were well fed.

I had a fantastic time staying here. I chose this location so that I could hike fron the Gubeikou section of the Great Wall to Jinshanling and it worked out very well.
The homestay provided a taxi service at a good price and amazing food - so delicious - for breakfast, dinner and also for packed lunches for hiking.
The staff were very friendly and the room comfortable.
Would recommend for anyone looking to hike from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and see a very quiet and beautiful part of the Wall.
