"We booked this hotel because it was in a château and it looked romantic and unique .However there were many details lacking overall. Firstly avoid the restaurant at all costs even though the three course meal was only €29. The food preparation and quality was terrible. Please see attached photos. The salmon I had was overcooked from frozen salmon and the greens were likely frozen greens that were boiled to mush and no longer green. The risotto was just rice coated in some weird cream and had some tasteless pieces of chicken slapped on top. We did not finish the food. They clearly also need more staff as our receptionist was doubling up as a waitress, and we noticed that there were some waits and gaps in service. The room was compact and clean, but the details were lacking. For example, the fixtures and appliances were the cheapest variety possible and didn’t match the Luxe feel that the hotel is going for. The location is slightly out of town and a 20 minute walk to all the main sites in the old town. The grounds were tidy and very pretty in photos."

"Casa espectacular en el corazón de Bayeux, recién remodelada por los Super Hosts Gil y Mika. Mi esposa y yo tuvimos una estancia espectacular con ellos 2, la atención fue inigualable, nos sentimos como en casa. Recibimos buenas recomendaciones para comer, cenar y dar la vuelta. Vale mucho la pena salirte un poco de la zona de confort de un hotel tradicional y probar esta experiencia única que ofrecen en Bayeux. Nosotros fuimos específicamente para los tours de Normandia de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y para ver Mont Saint Michel y es una excelente localización para conocer el area. Recomendamos AMPLIAMENTE!"

"We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Valerie is a gracious hostess and good cook. Breakfast was nice with fresh baked goods, homemade jams and yogurt, and fresh fruit. The Inn is quiet and comfortable and located near to the sights and restaurants in Bayeux."
