"The location is perfect. 6 mins drive from Ballina town center in a quiet side street on a hill overlooking Shelly beach. We were in 301, and felt misled by the minimal ocean view blocked by trees and houses in front. The third floor is more like a 1st floor as the building is lower set than the street. The underground parking is nice and apartment was clean and modern. Let down by a dishwasher that did not work (staff was able to get it working once) and pans in terrible unusable condition. No coffee pod machine. No soap dispenser in bathroom just a 10 ml bottle and 1" hand soap to last 3 night stay. Would've expected better for close to 600 a night. Clearly individual apartments and facilities vary. The location was the only saving grace."

"The hotel has only 5 rooms and we were located on the first floor in room one. The room had use of a small private balcony which had screen doors so combined with the screened window in the bathroom we had an excellent coastal breeze through the room for the entire stay. The hotel itself has all the features of a period home but with modern conveniences. The room was very clean with good quality linen and was value for money. Although near the main street and within 5 minutes walk to the river, pool and excellent restaurants and bars on the riverside it was very quiet and parking outside the main gate. We were able to use the kitchen where coffee, tea and cereals were available freely. The large downstairs lounge /dining room was an excellent retreat as my husband was unwell and needed to sleep."

"La dama en la recepción fue muy amable y eficiente , sin duda un gran activo para este negocio ya que las primeras impresiones son muy importantes  Estaba en la cabina número 8 , la llave no abriría la puerta de pantalla , la dama en la recepción se disculpó y arregló a 2 personas para abrirla con una llave maestra . No cerré la puerta de pantalla cuando me di cuenta de que había tenido acceso . La televisor remota no activaría la televisión ."

"Fastidiously clean complex everywhere. We stayed 5 nights in an air-conditioned ocean view 2 Bedroom apartment on the 6th floor. Also had River view at rear. A dedicated car park in secure underground car park. Reassuring with current spate of electrical storms. There was generous overflow parking on the street. Elevators. Lots of visible, hard working and pleasant Staff. Receptionist was thorough and pleasant. Spacious apartment had 2 large bathrooms and private balcony with fantastic ocean view to Shelly Beach. Huge open kitchen, dining, lounge area. All meticulous and user friendly. Large frig. Very quiet and lovely residential area near beaches and not in CBD which we liked but it was close to downtown for groceries and shopping. The RLS Club at Shelly had a coffee Cafe and Italian Restaurant Capiche nearby. Ballina is very beautiful with all the rivers, white sand inlets and ocean access. Lots of free parking. We visited many nearby towns and recommend Maclean particularly. We rode the fantastic Solar Train in Byron Bay and heartily recommend it."
