¡Cuidado, Bed Bugs! Por desgracia, mi primera mañana en este albergue comenzó con varios errores de cama en mi cama. Me quedé en la habitación D08, y después de quejarme, tuve una nueva habitación lejos de la primera y comprobé que uno en la cama primero y afortunadamente, no había señales de nadie en esa habitación. Afortunadamente, el albergue tiene lavavajillas e incluso secadoras de lavandería con UV funcional en el sitio, así que también podría lavar todas mis ropas y espero que no tenga que lidiar con los errores de la cama más. La respuesta del personal al problema no fue apropiada, sólo se inspeccionaron en un nuevo huésped en la misma habitación la noche siguiente. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no hay nada que puedas hacer. El hotel es un hotel de 3 estrellas. Y eso es lo que sucedió cuando vi la limpieza al menos tres veces al día limpiando los baños. La ubicación es increíble, pero a pocos metros de una estación de metro, y puedes estar en uno de los lugares de la playa occidental y en la calle Hefang, una hermosa zona de compras con muchos cafés bonitos.

En primer lugar, la limpieza del hotel era peor de lo esperado. Las almohadas todavía tenían pelusa. Además, las sábanas se desprendían fácilmente, por lo que dejaban al descubierto el colchón. En segundo lugar, la habitación tenía un aislamiento acústico deficiente. La calle sigue siendo bastante transitada por la noche, por lo que se oía el claxon durante toda la noche. Además, podíamos oír el agua cayendo en algún lugar, pero no sabíamos dónde estaba. Sin embargo, la ubicación es bastante buena. Por último, no nos proporcionaron papel higiénico ni jabón de manos durante nuestra estancia.

We are a couple from the Netherlands and spent 3 nights at this family run B&B.  We were friendly welcomed by granny. Since we were the first and only guests to arrive that day we could pick any room. We chose one room with 2 large beds at the top floor, close to a balcony with laundry basin and drying lines.  While waiting for her daughter Madam Ye and her grandson to come home we were treated homemade tea. Granny also led us through the village to find us a nice little restaurant for lunch.  The B&B is conveniently located in the middle of the village, in a block right accross the main square. On the road accross the square you can find small grocery shops and a few restaurants serving delicious local specialties.  Speaking about local specialties... Madam Ye prepares a delicious Chinese breakfast offering a variety of homemade dishes that go very well with the rice porridge and mantou. Fresh cooked eggs, fermented cucumber and turnip, various kinds of bamboo shoots, deep fried ricecake slices and some special glutinous rice snack called qingtun.  Madam Ye and her son helped us to arrange transport and assisted us with purchasing tickets to the Yunhe Terraces. We were picked up by a driver at 4:30 in the morning so that we could see the sunrise in time. Worried about us not having had breakfast that early, madam Ye got up at 3 am to make us a rich and filling breakfast. Such a kind, polite and hospitable gesture. We felt so bad we hardly had eaten any because we could not have the driver wait for so long. Madam Ye said we were fortunate we picked the correct date for seeing the sunrise above Yunhe Titian. We had an almost clear blue sky that morning. The next day it started raining.... But on that rainy day we were lucky again to witness a local festivity that only takes place once in every 5 or 6 years, where all villagers worship the gods of fortune.  The fireworks, the marching and music we witnessed it all. Indeed we felt lucky 😁 After our last dinner at a local restaurant just around the corner we came back at the B&B and agreed with Madam Ye what time we would have breakfast and what time her son would drive us to the bus station. She again mentioned how lucky we were because that evening a Chinese opera was performing at the local village hall. Together we walked up there and to enjoy some wonderful Chinese opera before walking back to the B&B again after having spent another joyful day at Chongtou village. Please visit this lovely little village in Yunhe County and stay in this lovely little family B&B. The village Chongtou, the Yunhe terraces and this B&B, our lovely little home there, will stay in our memories forever....

Hotel Yizhi Ningmeng Esta vez llegué a Hangzhou solo, cargando una maleta pesada para buscar atención médica, sintiéndome como si arrastrara la mitad de mi vida. El joven de la recepción, con solo decir 'Primero, beba un poco de agua de limón', me calentó el corazón. Aunque la habitación era pequeña, estaba tan limpia que parecía recién besada por el sol. El suave aroma a limón mezclado con el desinfectante logró, sorprendentemente, ahuyentar el olor a hospital. La lavadora, el microondas, un pequeño botiquín... los pequeños detalles brillaban con luz propia por su cuidado y utilidad. Cuando supere esta prueba, definitivamente regresaré para quedarme una semana entera, y entonces sí, compensaré el agua de limón que bebí, las sonrisas que quedaron pendientes, la habitación Ningmeng donde no me quedé lo suficiente y la litera superior que no pude conseguir. ¡Lo viviré todo plenamente!

A perfect slice of authentic rural China – unforgettable stay with the most adorable hosts! ★★★★★ We feel so lucky to have come across Lixia and Sea Homestay. From the moment we arrived, we were completely charmed. What makes this place special for me is its sincerity. Every detail shows how much Lixia and Haibo want guests to feel welcomed, relaxed, and genuinely connected to village life. The young owners, Lixia and Haibo, are such a lovely, talented, and hard-working couple who got married not long ago and have just opened this beautiful homestay together. Their passion and warmth are everywhere. Haibo is a professional photographer and an incredible cook – every meal he prepared for us was fresh, seasonal, and absolutely delicious. Lixia is just as amazing: super energetic, thoughtful, and incredibly talented behind the camera. They also have the sweetest dog named One Two Three – a patient and gentle soul who quickly became our favorite companion. She joined Lixia in accompanying us around the village and along the ancient trails, adding even more joy to our walks. What truly blew us away was the photography and videos Lixia made for us. While we explored, she quietly captured the most beautiful shots of us among the old stone houses and ancient trails. At the end of our stay, she surprised us with two wonderfully edited short videos that perfectly captured the joy and laughter of our weekend. I’ve stayed at hundreds of places around the world and have never received anything like this – it’s a memory we’ll treasure forever. The rooms are spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated with local touches. Every small detail – from the welcome fruit basket to the cozy fireplace at night – shows how much love and effort this young couple puts into making guests feel truly at home. If you want to slow down, eat amazing home-cooked food, have your trip professionally documented, and be spoiled by the kindest hosts (and their wonderful dog) in Zhejiang, book Lixia and Sea Homestay immediately. El hotel es muy bueno y la habitación es muy limpia. El servicio de la recepción es muy bueno y ayuda a retrasar la salida a las 1:00 p.m., y hay mucha gente. Se ha pedido una habitación específicamente hacia la montaña. Hay ventanas de aterrizaje en la habitación para ver el panorama de la montaña y el sol. También se puede hacer el panorama nocturno. Muy recomendable.

Todo genial, la instalación, el recepcionista. Quizás si pueda poner alguna pega es que había ruido por parte de otras habitaciones a altas horas de la noche. Por lo demás todo 10/10

La habitación no es grande, como el estilo sencillo del Pudding Hotel, pero tiene todo lo necesario. La higiene general es buena y la relación precio/rendimiento es muy buena. La actitud del servicio de recepción es muy buena y muy entusiasta.

In a nutshell, suitable mostly if you have no other options (or everything that’s affordable is all taken for the night). For me, what struck me the most (or shall I say not surprisingly, but still remarkably true) was the fact that two different staff members of the hotel (aka the two receptionists that did both shifts during my stay) did not speak a word of English! Like, LITERALLY not 1!!! And I know, I know “This is China” and “What do you expect in a 3rd tier city” but still, guys, it’s the 2026 goddammit, not 2006! Like, the city where the hotel is located is virtually the world’s capital of the home appliances trade!!! There are enough foreigners who travel and even reside in the city for every self respecting hotel manager to know better they they must hire an English speaking staff that would (very likely) have some foreign guests too. One more time: no one is expecting a native English speaking level or some PhD academic skills and capabilities, but at least BASIC English skills competency should be a MUST in any developed country, especially China. Brushing it aside, the hotel was OKish (considering the price range). It’s a pain in the ass to check in as a foreigner (it literally too half an hour, being questioned multiple times the most bizarre questions such as “Where are you from?” or “What brings you to YiWu: travel or studying”, “What’s your phone number” (considering the guy had my passport in his hand and I made the reservation online where virtually ALL this information was widely available). Had to take a picture of me twice (mind you, I actually reside in the same city!!!). I just had to move out of my condo for a short while due to construction work taking place there. Anyway, room amenities are ok and had no other hiccups than that. Mind you, you need to deposit/transfer 100 yuan as a “security deposit” which is refundable via WeChat/AliPay transfer upon checking out.

La habitación está limpia, el transporte es conveniente y la ubicación es excelente. La habitación es exactamente como en las fotos. Justo en la puerta hay una parada de autobús y bicicletas y scooters eléctricos para alquilar con código QR. Se tarda unos 10 minutos a pie hasta el Lago del Oeste y el aire acondicionado funciona muy bien. Además, pudimos hacer un check-out tardío. Es muy conveniente caminar hasta el Lago del Oeste y el centro comercial Yintai In77, se llega en unos 10 minutos. Caminar hasta el mercado nocturno de Wulin, la calle Hefang, la plaza Wushan y la calle Imperial de la Dinastía Song del Sur también lleva unos 20 minutos. ¡Lo recomiendo mucho! El aire acondicionado funciona de maravilla.
