I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou.

We arrived at the accommodation when it was raining heavily. There were a lot of leaks from the roof, when we entered the room we simply saw that the mattress was completely wet as a result of the leak. We then moved to another room where there was a leak in the bathroom as well as a lot of dirt, including in the toilet. In the meantime, the girl at the desk honored us with a very tasty local watermelon. She apologized for the situation and moved us to another room. The next room was a huge room, I think it was their suite. The room itself was really comfortable and large, but it was simply full of spiders and cobwebs. We decided that we would still stay in the room despite its poor maintenance. They cleaned the room for us a little, but it didn't help, but we had no more strength to complain. We cleaned it ourselves so that the stay would be reasonable. It should be noted that the place only has a solar water heater, so on cloudy and rainy days there will be no hot water as happened to us on the day of arrival. We asked the staff in the evening for tomatoes and onions and they happily gave us them free of charge. This is noteworthy and thank you for that. It should be noted that the Didi does not always arrive at the accommodation location, they offer a paid shuttle, which is convenient. On the second day we went out to the dunes at sunrise, the guy at the desk insisted that we would be cold and gave us some kind of sand socks. Only when we returned did we realize that it was actually a fee of 20 for both of us (just like on the website, and much more than supermarkets in the area). We did not understand why we were not told that it was a fee, plus it looked used and did not come in a plastic wrap. Apart from this incident, the staff was nice and helped us with the shuttle (for a fee). The breakfast was great, and they tried to help us according to our vegetarianism. We wanted to extend our stay after cleaning the room ourselves and it was decent and good, but the price was high for us, which is perfectly fine and reasonable on their part, and we decided to leave.

El lugar es bellísimo, con techos, luces y decoración muy cuidada, en cada rincón un detalle, y plantas. Dormí en una de las carpas y fue comodisimo. Muy amplias, colchón y ropa de camada impecables. Te dan toallas, pantuflas, tenes un rinconcito propio como si estuvieras de campamento, agua. Te dan un desayuno riquisimo, con leche y cereales locales. Los dueños son muy amables, te explican todo lo que necesitas saber, sobre el templo, o te ayudan a conseguir auto y hacer una visita a los pastizales. Se alojaban también dos monjes tibetanos. Una experiencia única, que repetiría.

El sótano de la estación de tren no tenía conexión a internet, así que no pude usar DiDi. No solo pagué de más incluso después de negociar, sino que el conductor pasó la primera parte del viaje enviando mensajes de texto y tuve que pasarle el brazo por encima porque estábamos a punto de chocar por detrás con otro coche. 20 minutos después llegamos a la entrada del parque Maiji Shan. El amable propietario ya estaba allí y me ayudó inmediatamente con mis maletas. Unos minutos en coche hasta la espaciosa casa de campo. Pedí un plato de fideos que estaba caliente y delicioso, servido por una anciana. El desayuno chino de la granja era abundante. Usé la calefacción ya que las montañas se enfriaban rápidamente cuando se ponía el sol. La habitación impecable era grande con dos camas dobles, un televisor y un escritorio. El baño tenía inodoro y ducha integrados, así que estaba húmedo. Había mucha agua caliente, aunque encenderla era cuestión de pulsar un botón. ¡Aprendí algo nuevo! Se proporcionaron artículos de aseo y toallas de papel (otra novedad). El dueño me llevó a Maiji Shan. I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels. Tianshui, este Hi Inn es realmente la versión Hi Inn PLUS, con habitaciones grandes, limpias y ordenadas, baños inteligentes y duchas de gran tamaño en el baño. My room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The hotel is centrally located while still being quiet. There are several restaurants within a short walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedding was of high quality, and the beds were very comfortable. 我的房间非常干净、舒适、宽敞。酒店地理位置 优越,但环境很安静。附近有很多餐厅,步行即 可到达。酒店工作人员友善且乐于助人。床上用品质量很好，床也非常舒适。

We stayed one night when we arrived from zoige and booked the tent first. But before booking you should know that the bathroom is one floor underneath and there are NO showers. So if you only stay one night and dont need the shower its fine, but if you can spend 20 Yuan more you get a really big room with two beds and an own bathroom WITH a shower! We departed the next morning to Diebu to go from there to Zhagana. The bus departs at the traffic light at the main street and should normally stop there at 9.00 am but on our day it was more like 9.30 am. While waiting on the bus we had breakfast at the food stands next to the traffic light and asked around for the bus

Está un poco lejos de la entrada principal de la montaña Mingsha, pero la casera fue muy amable y estuvo dispuesta a llevarnos en coche; no es una caminata larga. Vinimos específicamente para ver las estrellas, y aparte del transporte un poco incómodo, todo lo demás estuvo genial.
