After entering our extremely small room, which I found out was called a standard queen I immediately noticed long hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor, so obviously the bathroom wasn’t clean very well the baseboards, the floor, and just the overall appearance of the walls in the bathroom and in the room are just pretty beat up and well worn. The door knob on the outside of our hotel room was falling off and the TV did not work. When we came back to our room a few hours later the TV was indeed fixed. However, the brightness was on the lowest setting and I thought I could simply adjust it from the remote, however There was no settings that were accessible from the remote to alter the brightness of the picture so no tv that night as I didn’t want someone coming up to our hotel room at 10 PM. Just the overall feeling of the hotel room is very grungy. We were kept awake until midnight when I couldn’t take the noise coming from the neighbors and had to get up, get dressed, go pound on their door and ask them to keep it down. The noise and the slamming of doors all throughout the night is completely unbearable and there’s no chance of sleeping more than 1 to 2 hours at a time before being awakened by slamming doors or people talking so loudly in the hallways. The walls are paper, thin. The hotel lobby, where you can sit and have a drink or a meal is kept absolutely frigid. We just strongly believe for the price there are so many better options of a cleaner, quieter much better maintained hotel. It also appears that most of the servers at the Lobby bar or rooftop bar are so young and inexperienced  and ask the silliest questions and look so perplexed at the questions that they are asked that it lacks such professionalism. While none of them were rude, they were certainly inexperienced. This was our second time staying there thinking that a second visit would provide different results when in actuality the second visit was worse than the first. So that being said, I could not give this hotel a good review at all.

El hotel es un hotel hipster con un carácter único para acomodar la zona central, y mis niños adolescentes les gustaban la habitación y la tienda de café adyacente. Sin embargo, me sentí un poco pequeña, especialmente el baño y la habitación podría utilizar algunas actualizaciones como más instalaciones como toallas y almacenamiento para maletas. La habitación no estaba cerca de ser reformada recientemente, por lo que las fotos pueden ser un poco engañantes. También me peleé con el estacionamiento hallé muy estresante tratar de encontrar el estacionamiento, planeando pasar alrededor de $40 al día en estacionamiento un día si usted está conduciendo mucho. El estacionamiento nocturno que es aproximadamente 10-15 minutos a pie no está en el sitio y es sólo $20 por noche, pero no se siente seguro después de las 10:00 para caminar por el problema sin hogar en la zona. .The hotel left a mixed impression. Despite the excellent reviews and not being the cheapest option, we were overall disappointed. Starting with the positives: A very convenient location in a pleasant, green, and quiet neighborhood not far from downtown. There are plenty of great cafés, small shops, restaurants, and wine bars nearby. Polite and friendly staff at the front desk. Interesting room design. Spacious parking available for hotel guests. Large rooms. Now the downsides: Thin walls and creaky floors made it very difficult to sleep. The soundproofing is basically nonexistent. The young couple staying in the next room was clearly enjoying their time together, which unfortunately meant a very uncomfortable experience for us. In addition, the refrigerator in the room was extremely noisy — not only did it hum loudly when running, but it also made constant knocking sounds. The breakfast was exceptionally poor. The only “hot” items seemed to be the coffee and a dishwasher, which, oddly enough, was placed right in the middle of the breakfast area. There were two small TVs in the room, both positioned very inconveniently for viewing, and neither had streaming services available. The housekeeping staff was intrusive — within a 20-minute period, they knocked on the door three times (and even tried to open it once), apparently trying to hurry us out, even though it was still before checkout time.

Este hotel es muy nuevo, dos ascensores, y hay muchas habitaciones. Esta vez he reservado un cuarto personal, me siento justo bien y cómodo. La actitud del servicio personal es muy buena. El salón es muy grande y muy adecuado para pasar en el patio; el desayuno es muy opcional

This hotel smells like Christmas morning because of the fireplaces and the scent diffusers, very cool feature I haven't seen anywhere else. Very nice front desk staff, windows that open, fireplaces, and despite an ongoing renovation there wasn't any chaotic banging / drilling or paint, they kept everything very professional. There are 3 different Marriot properties all next to each other in this area, this Residence, the Fairfield and the Courtyard. They all sort of share the same parking lot, it feels secure, although you get some loud cars coming through and this hotel is right off the highway exit, so some people complain about car noise. I didn't notice / mind it that much. For some reason the nightly rates went way up since I stayed here, from around $108 to now over $170 before taxes. At the initial rate, it was an amazing deal and the best Residence Inn by far. At this new price it's still a solid, very clean and professional hotel but I think it's priced too expensive relative to the amenities.

This is my favorite Marriott in the Portland metro right now. Front desk girls are super cool and great energy, plenty of snacks, the neighborhood is very quiet and secure parking. But my favorite thing is the room design themselves, very efficient desk setup (king room through executive suite, every room has these), windows open ALL THE WAY UP! so you can get tons of fresh air, and lots of streaming options Netflix / Amazon Prime Video / PlutoTV / Youtube / Pandora. Fairfield is really winning at the amenities game, and the hotel is impeccably clean throughout. This Lake Oswego property is outside of the downtown area, so you don't get the weirdos wandering around screaming late at night which is an interesting ”Feature” of other hotels downtown. Also somehow this Fairfield also has really competitive rates so you're almost getting the best deal in town. Definitely glad I found this hotel and will be back soon.

The ladies working the front desk in the mornings are absolute angels. I can't say enough nice things about them. I don't know if they're the owners of the place but they are the most kind, considerate, mindful, down to earth beings I've met in a very long time. The staff are always so very kind, motherly, considerate and concise. I stay here often since i work on the bridge nearby and I've always had an enjoyable, relaxing, carefree, and unobstructed stay here. Clean rooms, hallways, amenities. I've never had anything to complain about whatsoever. I've said it once before that everybody there deserves a raise because they are an absolute dream team by the way they make the entire hotel run so efficiently and effectively, and go out of their ways every time to make sure my stay is always a breeze. Thank you all so much for everything. Keep up the good work, and keep your heads up high, always.
