El personal fue genial y amable. El dormitorio está bien, tienes una pequeña taquilla dentro de la litera para guardar objetos de valor. Las sábanas estaban limpias y lavadas. El baño estaba bastante limpio para ser un hostal y no me dio asco usarlo, a diferencia de la mayoría de los demás. La limpieza fue sin duda un punto a destacar, y hay una bonita azotea desde donde se puede ver un poco de la ciudad y relajarse.

As always, a great place to stay in Thamel. My husband and I stayed here 4 times over our month in Nepal in between treks, travel, and retreats. The service is great.
They upgrade a lot of people on their first day which is a nice touch, but you can’t always expect it. In any case, the regular rooms are great too.
The main plus is that the rooms are very big and have plenty of room for organizing your belongings.
The breakfast at the hotel is great.

Hoy es mi último día en este hotel. Mis amigos se fueron a otra ciudad a escalar montañas, dejándome solo en el hotel. Desayuné solo esta mañana, disfrutando del paisaje y charlando con el personal del hotel; todos fueron increíblemente amables y acogedores.
Lo que más quiero destacar es la ubicación y el entorno; ¡es absolutamente perfecto! Si estás planeando un viaje, no dudes en visitarlo antes de decidirte. Sin duda, volveré a elegir este hotel la próxima vez que esté en Nepal.
También miré otros hoteles en la zona, pero la ubicación y el entorno siempre son mis principales prioridades. Esta fue la mejor opción para mí. Claro que cada persona tiene sus preferencias de alojamiento, pero para mí, ¡la experiencia aquí fue realmente fantástica!

This is the first time my husband and I are traveling to Nepal. I researched hotels and booked one near Thamel. Hotel Odyssey Nepal is located in a quiet, hidden alley about 350 meters from the center of Thamel. It is next to a beautiful restaurant called Garden of Joy, a professional hair salon, and a convenience store.
The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. The room is clean, but sometimes the Wi-Fi is slow.

Он небольшой, но уютный, есть маленький сад со столиками. Расположение хорошее, все необходимое рядом.
Персонал отличный! Помогали по любому вопросу.
Мы попали в период протестов - нами интересовались, предостерегали. Приложили максимум усилий, чтобы доставить нас в аэропорт.
Люди, которые там работают очень приятные, отель хороший, но нужно немного с чистотой поработать. Если поеду в Катманду, то однозначно в этот же отель, рекомендую!

El hotel es un hotel de estilo tradicional, con un estilo tradicional y todo se siente nuevo y limpio. El desayuno fue un gran comienzo al día, con una gran variedad de opciones, incluyendo jugos frescos, té, café, frutas, tostadas, queso y pasteles deliciosos.
¡El hotel se ha desplazado a la estación de viajes de la ciudad, y se ha vuelto a la base de Everest con ellos, y se ha vuelto la mejor decisión! No sólo nos ofrecieron el precio más competitivo en comparación con todas las demás agencias de viajes que comprobamos, sino que nuestro guía, Ram Bhandari (que también es un miembro del personal del hotel), fue realmente excelente. El hotel es un hotel muy bueno para todos los viajeros, y no se puede decepcionar con el hotel.

UUsuario invitadoThe room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it.
Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out.
At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service!
Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on.
I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw!
Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome.
All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return.
As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

UUsuario invitadoI stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.

MMH RONYThey are very welcoming, and the reception staff was awesome. They accept international visa card. Every floor have a nice balcony for gossiping, eating coffee and smoking. With this budget, best hotel.
My room was 404.
Problems:
1. The telephone was not dead.
2. Curtains are very thin so in the morning you can't sleep in the sunlight.
3. The doors and windows are very old, that's why if someone is talking outside of the room you will hear everything and maybe they also hear you.
4. They just provide tissue and soap, they didn’t provide toothbrush, toothpaste, or shampoo. So if you booked this hotel keep this with you.
5. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you don't like the stairs, is it not for you and you can talk to the hotel before booking for the 2nd floors room.

PPascalTenía una terrible experiencia en este hotel - la reservaba como una primera parada en Kathmandu en la llegada a Nepal, lugar para poner mi equipaje mientras se desplaza y una noche anterior antes de volar fuera del país.
No hay disposición para el control de bolsillo - no se da una etiqueta o la misma. Preguntado si podía dejar / comprobar mi bolsillo se dijo sí y para dejar en frente del escritorio. Dos semanas después, cuando volví al bolsillo del hotel, estaba todavía en el lobby delante del escritorio. Las cosas estaban desapareciendo - ninguno de lo suficientemente grande para argumentar, pero el hecho de que ni siquiera pudieran estar molestados para mover el bolso unos pocos pies a un armario / espacio de tenencia o el similar es una indicación de cómo este lugar se roda.

UUsuario anónimoBook this hotel at the very last minute as we reached Thamel earlier from our EBC Trek. This hotel is located at a corner of the back street. Just walk 100 steps and you will be able to reach the main street with cafes and restaurants, shops and money changer. Away from the traffic, my husband and I are able to have a peaceful sleep. The breakfast is simple and nice. Staff are attentive and friendly. Room is clean and hot water heater works perfectly well. Highly recommended if you likes boutique hotel.

The Air is much cleaner at these heights. A lovely view to be seen from the roof top upon the city down below. There is a room up there, for yoga, for exercise, or meditation. An elevator takes you there, but you can climb the stairs, if you wish, especially to prepare for a mountain trek – there is an ample storage room in that regard. Boudha Apart is owned by a Sherpa family, originally from Lukla, so there are many good contacts with the high mountain community.
The hotel is fairly new, and that means nothing is broken. That is to say also, that it is well maintained, that the guests are not a rowdy sort, and they are mindful of each other's tranquility. The rooms are well thought out, and many have a sun facing balcony. Both sink and shower have abundant hot water, adjustable as you like. On the ground floor is a large restaurant, with a diverse menu of local cuisine, and western comfort foods. The basement is a parking garage for cars and bikes. The staff is of good cheer, and supportive of your adventures and plans. They, most conveniently, pick up and deliver to the airport. There is also a car and driver for various tours, as you will.
And finally to say, the price to value is most fair, as one compares to other hotels in the region.

懸念していた寒さはエアコンに暖房機能がついており、水回りは綺麗でシャワーは熱く水圧も良かったです。シャンプー・ボディソープ・歯ブラシはありますが女性は持参をおすすめします。
心配していた立地も許容範囲です。2軒隣にスーパーあり。
オーナーの方は日本語が上手で人間性がよく、終始優しい対応をしていただきました。また利用したいです。
