미식가샤곰1.
[Conclusion] Satisfaction with the price is the best. I'm also visiting N. Recommendation 😊👍🏻

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood of Gangneung, not close to the main centers of interest of many tourists. The hotel itself is quite new and modern and clean. The check-in is not open until 4pm, however you can self check-in earlier on a kiosk for an additional cost.
I really appreciated the possibility to do a laundry for free, in my case it was needed. The bathroom is equipped with smart toilet which is nice. A complete Korean breakfast is offered in the morning. Around the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and cafes

I took an Uber from the bus terminal and was dropped off at Building C because I just typed the hotel name — it happened to be the first building we passed, and I didn’t know that it wasn’t the main one. Building C has no reception, so I went up to Level 4 (if I remember correctly) for the kiosk check-in. It was a bit laggy, but I managed to complete the process and was assigned a room in Building A. I’m not sure if all rooms with the Ondol (heated-floor) type are in that building.
I had to walk to Building A with my two suitcases, which took around 5-7 minutes — not too bad, but it felt a bit of a hassle after a long trip. The location, however, was really good. If you love catching the sunrise, you can simply wake up early and walk for about 2 minutes to the beach.
I also booked an Uber ride to Seoraksan National Park for a 5 a.m. hike, which cost ₩17,500. The room was quite spacious, especially for a solo traveler. The only downside was that there’s no bidet or smart toilet. You might also want to bring your own large towel, as they only provide small ones, and no toothbrush kits — although there’s a vending machine on the first floor for toiletries and slippers if you need extras.
The heating floor worked perfectly, and the room was very clean. It’s well-equipped with cooking and dining utensils, a built-in electric stove, a washing machine, and a large fridge — ideal for longer stays. There are also plenty of convenience stores, coffee shops, and restaurants on the first floor, and several attractions are within walking distance.
Overall, it’s a great place to stay — comfortable, clean, and convenient for both short and long visits in Sokcho.

The Orchid Hotel was everything and more as described on their website and the reviews. I stayed in the superior room with 1 king bed which was very comfortable. The air conditioner is adjustable to your preference. The hotel was very clean, spacious, very friendly staff (24hr lobby staff)and in the perfect location. They provided robes, slippers, 2 bottled waters, clean towels daily. The bathroom has a bidet which is separate from the shower area. They also have a pot to heat water instantly and they provide coffee and camomile tea bags. There was a large desk area in this room and a large television. The location is right across the street from a large shopping mall that also has restaurants and walking distance to Musil (restaurants, cinema, shopping). They do have a pool and has pizza and beer every evening at rooftop bar. All your needs are very close to this hotel. The bus terminal is ~6 minutes walking distance and train is ~ 10 minute taxi ride. Approximately 2 miles is the outdoor market (food/shopping). Considerations: make sure to bring international chargers, translate app and if get Wow pass can top up with cash at 7/11 or CU. I did make several attempts to top up on Wow pass app with credit card and was having difficulty. The bus terminal and taxi’s accept international visa credit card. The bus terminal does not accept T card. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to the staff and cleanliness.

Katsiaryna K.The best place I've ever stayed in! Everything was thought out to the smallest detail, comfortable and modern, very clean, cozy, and beautiful! The hostess is amazing, attentive and kind. The room is quite large and spacious, it is not stuffy, but in addition, it is possible to turn on the air conditioner or open the doors to the terrace without fear of mosquitoes flying in, because there are nets installed. Stuffiness in the room is a critical problem for me. And here it is perfectly solved. And the mattress and duvet are absolutely incredible. I don't know what kind of technology it is, but it was perfect: not too soft and not too hard, everything seemed to adapt to you, and in the morning you didn't want to get out of bed. I slept absolutely amazingly here. And what a wonderful bathroom, and the steam closet... I could go on and on listing the advantages of this place. Usually, when you come to another country, you only need to sleep in your room; you don't need much more. But here, we just wanted to be in the room! Because it's so nice and wonderful, because it's calm and peaceful. Unfortunately, our time in the city was limited; there was so much to see and do, but we returned to the hotel every evening with joy. It was an indescribable experience; we are absolutely delighted! I highly recommend it! And I would gladly come back here again. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Federica PetrilliThe hotel is super cleany, probably even quite new. The rooms was a bit small but it had everything we needed - nice bed (love the mattress!), and good size for the bathroom. The check-in was supposed to be at 4PM, but we arrived around 3Pm and they happily gave us the room in less than 5 minutes without any problems. Great service! Will definitely be back.

Super nice sea view , room look exactly like the photo . Room with simple cooking equipment that u can cook ramen or little snack . Dryer , towel all those basic things are provided. But 2 things u have to take notes , this homestay type of property doest not have reception or person incharge at the area , even during check in , so make sure u contact with trip.com to get the check in information before u reach there , or else if u can speak korean or u will need to at-least have a number that can call Korean number to contact property management when u arrive and tell them u need check in , i think simple English like “check in “ they can understand. If u don’t have any number that can call or did not contact trip earlier on to get the information, u will be there and wait and u can’t check in smoothly for sure . Secondly this location is far from the city area (like ktx/ bus express terminal and anmok beach ) this location is only near to sundubu gelato by foot about 20min. My suggestion is if u wanna stay here , prepare food and drink and stay whole day just in room to enjoy the view of sea and nice room if u did not driving . Basically for the view and nice room , I will come back again .

Hotel is self check-in (no staff onsite), you’ll receive a message from the hotel on the luggage storage password (24 hrs access - no assigned locker, just a room), and your room number and password. Ignore the self checkin kiosk at the lift lobby, you can go straight to your room with the password (but early checkin results in extra $). There is a wonderful sea view cafe called Hajodae Coffee, right at the next building. The Naksansa temple is also within walking distance (dont follow Naver Map, just walk towards Naksan Beach Hotel - you can see a lot of people walking up the steep road up the hotel). Food was unfortunately meant for groups, so solo travellers might need to make do with whatever you can find (convenience stores were available everywhere). There is a coin karaoke at Level 2 of the hotel building, have fun. Just felt a bit cheated when the bed actually back faces the sea, you cant see anything from the bed 😂. On the side, the tiles in the balcony seemed really dangerous, like they were going to explode. Loved that you can take the bus 9-1 from Yangyang Passenger Terminal (if you come from Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal). It runs surprisingly quite frequent, about 10mins.
