I stayed at Fujisan Station Hotel and found it quite convenient overall. The location is excellent, just across from Mt. Fuji Station, making it very easy to get around. Check-in was done with the staff and went smoothly. Free parking is available, which is a plus. There is no onsen and no complimentary bottled water, but there is a free ice machine in the dining area, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The water faucet is an old-style rotary type. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, but food runs out quickly due to the large number of guests. The buffet includes scrambled eggs, grilled mackerel, rice, miso soup, salad, fresh milk, and granola. The small bread rolls and mini croissants were not very good. The twin room was clean, but the beds were quite firm and not very comfortable.

Excelente ubicación, gran ventana con vistas despejadas al Monte Fuji. El onsen del hotel se puede utilizar como se desee por un pequeño cargo adicional. Desafortunadamente, el restaurante esparce algunos olores de cocina por el hueco de la escalera. Todo estaba muy limpio y funcional, aunque un poco viejo. Precio atractivo, amplio aparcamiento, sin ruido de tráfico. La fotografía está tomada desde el interior de la habitación.

It was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

An Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan. The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you. One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there. I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient! I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.

Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa — A Four-Day Dream with Mt. Fuji at Your Doorstep ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We just returned from a magical four-day stay at Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa, and I am still floating on cloud nine. If you are searching for a place where serenity, cleanliness, and genuine Japanese hospitality collide, stop looking — this is it. The Room & Amenities From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by how impeccably clean everything was. I mean spotless. The room itself is wonderfully spacious, giving us plenty of room to unwind after long days of exploring. But the real showstopper? The private hot bath. Soaking in steaming hot water while gazing out at Mt. Fuji from the comfort of our room was nothing short of therapeutic. And then there is the balcony. Waking up each morning to a full, unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji right from our private terrace felt like a privilege I never wanted to end. Whether it was sunrise painting the peak in soft pink or the mountain standing bold against a clear blue sky, the view alone made every yen worth it. The Host — Above and Beyond The owner is one of those rare people who makes you feel like family from day one. Warm, attentive, and endlessly kind, he ensured our stay was seamless. But what happened on our last day truly sealed this experience as unforgettable. While we were waiting for our bus back to Yokohama, he volunteered to drive us to Yamanakako Myojinyama Panoramadai. I cannot put into words how breathtaking that spot was — a sweeping panorama of Yamanaka Lake shimmering below with the majestic Mt. Fuji rising proudly in the background. It was the kind of view that makes you stop breathing for a second. That he took time out of his day to gift us that moment speaks volumes about the heart behind this villa. Final Thoughts Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa is not just accommodation — it is an experience. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and run by someone who genuinely cares about his guests. El personal de recepción del hotel fue muy amable y atento, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Desde la ventana de la habitación se veía directamente el monte Fuji y los cerezos en flor a orillas del lago; el paisaje era sencillamente impresionante. El desayuno estaba incluido y era variado para todos los gustos. También había un baño termal en la sexta planta. El hotel ofrecía un servicio de traslado gratuito a la estación, lo que nos ahorró muchas molestias. ¡Fantástico! El conductor también fue muy amable. ¡Este viaje fue inolvidable!

Gracias al hotel por hacer que nuestro viaje a Hakone fuera memorable. Aparte de la ubicación un poco remota y el inconveniente transporte público, todo lo demás estuvo bastante bien. Si vas en coche, definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Necesitamos tomar el autobús de la línea roja (R) desde la estación de Fujikawaguichiko y parar frente al hotel, pero el problema es que si llevas equipaje a cuestas, prepárate para arrastrar el corto camino cuesta arriba hasta el hotel, ya que está situado justo al lado de la estación del teleférico. Aunque el personal de recepción (que no es local) parece bastante agradable, pero tampoco cálido. Creo que hay muchas restricciones (no), y está tratando de explicar diligentemente... bueno, supongo que las reglas y políticas del hotel son extrañas en comparación con muchos hoteles en los que me he alojado en Asia/el mundo. Aunque se compensa con una buena vista del lago Kawaguichiko. La selección de desayuno no es mucha, pero se vuelve más extraño usar guantes para tomar alimentos cada vez, aunque algunos tienden a olvidarse mientras toman su segunda comida... no es la era de COVID, y ciertamente hay muchas formas de lidiar con el manejo de la limpieza SOP.

Una estancia estupenda. Nos ofrecieron servicio de traslado desde y hacia el hotel. El personal habla inglés con fluidez, lo cual es ideal para los turistas. La habitación era cómoda, con vistas al lago, y el tatami era tan agradable que mi marido y yo pudimos descansar muy bien. Había aperitivos gratuitos en la recepción. Las instalaciones, como el onsen, estaban disponibles en ciertos horarios y eran fantásticas. La cena buffet ofrecía comida local e internacional, además de bebidas alcohólicas ilimitadas (sake, cerveza, whisky). En resumen, fue una estancia muy satisfactoria.

For some reason I was not sent a QR Code to my email to check in. I was sent a pin number which was not necessary or utilized. We arrived at the villa several hours early and called to see if we could check in early, they apparently have a strict after 3pm check-in. We found a place and paid to store our luggage and then came back to the villa at 3pm. Again, still had not received the QR Code. Called again, was hung up on. Called back, was told it would take 10 minutes. Called back and was asked for my email, was put on hold then was asked for my email again (which was already provided at booking). Then was asked to send them an email, they didn't get it and then was asked to send to personal icloud email. They finally found my email and sent the QR Code to me at close to 4pm which was an hour after check-in and we had to stand out in the sun the entire time. This was so frustrating and ridiculous. My email address was in the reservation, why it took so long is crazy. The process needs to be updated so this doesn't happen to other people. There was a huge spider above the TV in the corner, we got rid of it but it was creepy. The view from the villa was great! The beds were nice! Loved the double showers! The body sponges are so clever and left our skin feeling smoothe! The clothes drying was very innovative and did work effectively, needed to turn the heater on twice to get the clothes dry. Towel rack on the wall was broken on the right side, the rod wouldn't stay in. The one pot in the kitchen was burnt on the bottom inside, we tried to clean it to use it but could not. We did use the grill to make dinner and it was a wonderful touch!
