Richmond hotel was located opposite a big department store, with easy access to bus and trams. A combini is just opposite the hotel. They have a wider range of personal amenities to pick at the lobby. They have 3 machines to handle checkout, exchange currency (e.g. 1000¥ to 100¥ coins for laundry machines on 6th floor, or break 10,000¥ to smaller notes). The machines also accept your hotel parking charges. When it was raining, hotel provided full size umbrellas for use, without deposit or giving room numbers, which is very convenient. It has a car park with limited lots, so if you can secure one ,it will be very easy to unload and load your bags. Costs 2400¥ for 2 nights of parking. Main place for food is closer to Tenmonkan area, which is walkable.

Las habitaciones tradicionales japonesas, limpias, frente a la tumba del palacio, limpias de agua y a través del fondo del río. El transporte es relativamente conveniente, el lugar de la tumba de Bai Valley debe pasar. El hotel tiene una estación de autobús en la parte delantera, y el cielo está en consonancia. Excelente vista al mar de una hermosa, grande, dormitorio. 2 camas en lugar de una grande. El hotel está muy bien, pero no se puede hacer nada. La cosa real ”puede ser mejor” para mí es, el restaurante que cerra realmente temprano (8.30pm si mi memoria es buena), sólo sirve bufete para 80kY. El bufete es de calidad que mezcla estilos japoneses, chinos y occidentales de comida y también viene con desechos agradables. No obstante, tener la opción de obtener sólo una mesa A la carta podría ser un verdadero plus.Personalmente no quiero tener un buffet completo para cada uno de mis cenas. Si no tienes un coche, encontrar otro lugar para comer puede ser un desafío. El desayuno es definitivamente cualitativo. Y si usted quiere mudarse temprano para visitar, el hotel puede preparar un desayuno y una caja de almuerzo para no pagar ningún precio. Basic but good and appreciated. Para tener otro plus, sirven una cerveza de artesanía local con árboles de cedro local.

This place seemed great at first sight, the room and the bathtub are spacious (mine was a double room and I was solo). There's blue light at the lift that creates an ambiance. But the onsen is really poorly organized - it's one pool with nowhere to rest your head and relax - the mist sauna was not available. And I felt very upset that they have welcome drinks on the 13 floor and nobody told me anything... I've learned because I was checking until what time the onsen was open at the paper they give at check in and saw the small info. When I went upstairs was already more than 6 ( it's only until 6) and the guy told me it was not available anymore and I should go downstairs. But I could see there were some other teas that were not downstairs... In fact I had one in my hand and he made me return it. I went downstairs to complain and the woman at reception went up and brought me one tea already prepared, because it needs a special machine... But I wanted to have one for me and not only one already prepared ..(i actually threw it away 🥺 after talking to that rude man I would not take a tea that he prepared and I didn't see) In general this was very unprofessional that information was not given, the man saying I could not take anything, and her taking a long time to return with a prepared tea that I didn't want at that moment. Breakfast was good, could have hot chocolate instead of coffee..

Recently stayed at JR Kyushu Hotel Kagoshima and really enjoyed the stay. The location is unbeatable, it is directly connected to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, with an entrance right after exiting the Shinkansen or local train gates. The room was surprisingly spacious. We could open two large suitcases, one medium, and two cabin bags at the same time and still have space to move around comfortably, which is quite rare for hotels in Japan. The hotel is also next to AMU Plaza Kagoshima, so there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, a very convenient hotel and a great choice for travelers visiting Kagoshima.

Each lodge is very spacious with a nice, high ceiling, all in bare wood and containing all the essentials: A nice kettle, a good fridge (silent), a TV set, and also a sofa. The ensuite bathroom, shower and toilet is clean and very nice. There are mosquito screens on the windows and the outside areas are nicely landscaped. The restaurant area is a joy, really lovely. Uninterrupted views of the sea and the beach, which is a 3 minute walk away, through the extensive grounds. I was especially pleased to be picked up and dropped off at the airport and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were no language issues at all. Given all factors, I do not hesitate to give 5/5 stars, however, I am extremely particular about food, and the restaurant suffers from the the common issue of re-using the frying oil ad infinitum. Overall, food quality was ”OK”, but not great. However, the exceptional location, and all other aspects of the accommodation, mean that one can still enjoy a perfect beer in a perfect location and not care too much about the cuisine.

Оборудование отеля уже уставшее. Кран в душе немного протекал, но вода была горячая и напор был отличный. Было окно с каким-то видом. Кровать была удобная и широкая для 1 человека. Кондиционер работал хорошо, было тепло. В целом было чисто. За такую цену отличный вариант. Недалеко от вокзала, очень удобно.
