well the hotel is very clean, and this is personal experience i got very nice sleep here the location also very close with the city of medan so very comfortable

In die Jahre gekommenes, grundsätzlich schönes Hotel. Leider lässt die Sauberkeit etwas zu wünschen übrig und an Details & Austattung mangelt es. Für Instagram Posts eignet sich die Unterkunft mit ihrem schönen Ausblick allerdings grandios. Lage ist ruhig und ziemlich abgelegen. Service ist sehr lieb und bemüht, obwohl die Kommunikation auf Englisch manchmal etwas holprig war. Insgesamt ein guter Aufenthalt, allerdings ist der Preis zu hoch.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 guests via trip.com with an additional request for rooms with a connecting door. In the trip.com app, we intentionally correctly filled all the guest details for each rooms. Upon checkin, the hotel’s front desk said they cant accommodate the connecting room request because they say it was booked under different names. Sadly they used this opportunity to argue with us, printing out in front of ourselves with their printer on the front desk: 2 separate reservations under different names (Maybe since we intentionally filled those guest names correctly? But the contact number and email is still the same, no?). From it we briefly saw all details like the 2 different reservations numbers they used as the crucial evidence, and how our booking was routed through ******* (From this detail one could argue the request was lost through the flawed trip.com system. Yet the hotel could’ve investigated and be more proactive after seeing a reservation for one room asking for connecting doors??). I thought hotel guests checking in at night only wanted rest, not attending trial??? Although to be fair in the end they got us 2 connecting rooms, albeit at a low floor (after the unnecessary bargaining). They required Rp200K as deposit. Room was clean, with a very useful Korean brand smart tv. Functional hair dryer, good lighting, with an in-room safe, and a small fridge/chiller. Breakfast could’ve been better, but there’s a lot of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We got valet parking but didn’t pay for it, was it complimentary because of the limited parking space this hotel has, or did we get it as compensation/goodwill, we never knew (this was not explained at check in).

Affordable basic room but clean enough ( some ants though). Location is central within 20min walking radius of major malls ( Plaza Medan Fair/Sun/Cambridge), Damri airport bus ( in front of Plaza Medan Fair), family massage/reflexology outlets (Jl.Orion), and the popular medan cakes outlets eg ”bika ambon” (Zulaikha)/”bolu” (Meranti). Car park is available with security. However, the complimentary breakfast is only set without selection option.

We reached hotel almost midnite, it was very quick check in process. Overall, the service was great. Room consider small but still okay. But its wasnt noise free. You can heard the sound of room is closing. Breakfast was great, alot of option. There is a room deposit. So it takes sometime when checkout.

El servicio genial y las instalaciones comodas . Lo unico que una de las luces de la habitacion parpadeaba incluso en apagado y no hubo forma de arreglarlo. Un poco incomodo eso para dormir pero de todos modos recomendable.

The hotel is old, things are run down there’s free Wi-Fi, but I never see it working breakfast. Caters only locals almost nothing available for Westerners overall it’s not a bad stay, but for my next trip, this would not be my first choice. If I have to I will stay again. Also, there are cheaper options about the same quality. The hotel stuff is nice though helpful

We arrived after 3:30 PM but only managed to check in around 5:00 PM, which was quite disappointing after a long journey. Upon entering the room, the staff were still sweeping and mopping the floor, indicating that the room was not properly prepared prior to our arrival. This gave a poor first impression and did not meet our expectations for a smooth check-in experience. The view of Lake Toba is beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, the private beach was very dirty and poorly maintained, which was quite disappointing. With such a great natural setting, better upkeep of the beach would greatly improve the overall guest experience. Although the breakfast spread initially appeared to offer a wide variety, the actual options were quite limited. During peak holiday periods, the food was not sufficiently replenished, making it difficult to accommodate the large number of guests. This resulted in a less satisfying dining experience than expected.

Recientemente me quedé en el Cottage de Samosir en la isla de Samosir del 29 de noviembre al 1 de diciembre de 2024. La habitación era espaciosa, un importante plus. Sin embargo, la zona de baño necesitaba atención, con los anillos presentes, como se mencionó en las revisiones anteriores. Aunque esto era aceptable para mí, es un área para mejoras. El servicio de la recepción me impresionó mucho, explicando claramente las opciones y mejorandonos a una habitación más grande. Reservamos dos habitaciones deluxe, pero la primera tenía un olor a humo, lo que nos incitó a pedir un cambio o una actualización. En general, mientras que hay espacio para mejorar la mantenimiento del baño y la cubierta de la matrícula, los espaciosos habitaciones y un excelente servicio de Samosir Cottage le dan una buena elección a los visitantes de la isla Samosir. Pariban hotel was a very nice place to stay near Berastagi. The surrounding area is beautiful at the base of Mt Sibayak. There are numerous hot springs nearby but Pariban also has a private hot spring pool for guests which is great. The amenities were okay, however we had to ask for a bathmat and toilet paper. Also the toilet cistern was leaking. Overall, we would definitely stay here again however just be aware it is quite a way from the town of Berastagi and not ideal if you are wanting to do a sunrise hike of Mt Sibayak. It's important to know that since it is quite far from Berastagi itself, if you book a private driver you may be charged extra to get here.
