We like to stay in this hotel at least once a month to visit family. However, this time I asked to stay in the Farmhouse section, as it was recommended by one of the staff last time. We stayed for two nights on the lower floor to our disappointment. Bed comfy and pillows fluffy enough. Shower excellent but toilet didnt flush first time. Had to really push hadle fast and hard. Difficfor anyone quite capable. The shelves and wardrobe were full of dust as was the wall and floor, at the side of the bed. Gangly spiders in the bathroom and it smelt a bit musty in there. I know it's an old building but the floorboards above us were so creaky and noisy, it spoiled our rest. Up late and up early with the noise. Staff and food in resteraunt/pub were so friendly and food excellent. It made up for it.

La habitación era limpia y acondicionada, muchos plugs y un socket USB. La cama era sólo un doble estándar que era un poco aburrido para nosotros, pero eso era nuestra elección. Debía haber elegido más sabiamente. La comida se limitaba a sus opciones básicas de menú, ya que estaban muy cortos. El mayor problema en nuestra opinión fue la £25, sí, £25 por el perro. El nuestro es un pequeño, corto, bien comportado terrier con no un barba en ella. Ella tenía su propia cama, así que sí, £25 estaba bien por encima de la parte superior. No he encontrado el precio hasta que me haya reservado la habitación.

El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el hotel. Volvimos a las 11:30 pm colocamos el código en y no había ninguna clave en la caja que tuvimos que llamar un número de emergencia y alguien tuvo que viajar a nosotros para dejarnos en un poco incómodo para ambas partes. Estoy contento de que no estaba solo como está en medio de nada. Las habitaciones estaban bien limpias, etc. pero creo que debería dejar muy claro que las habitaciones comparten un baño porque no me di cuenta de que y no habría reservado conocer esto , el aparente que tienen aunque es hermoso y tiene amplia habitación y su propio baño. La cerveza fue buena Desayuno la mañana siguiente no vale la pena aunque la £25 para 2 personas como usted recibe un desayuno cocido con té o café que es que se le trajo a usted no hay opción de bufete o zumo cereal etc y algunos de ellos fue un poco frío Personal estaba bien sería quedarse de nuevo como ser honesto lo que pagamos no era mucho pero preferiría pagar un poco más y tener mi propio baño también recomendaría tener una puerta codificada no una clave en una caja como recoger este problema ocurrirá a menudo

This really is an unexpected gem of a hotel, with several small rooms, bar, snug, etc, which are welcoming and quirky! We waited at an empty reception for just a few minutes to check in. Our bedroom was spacious and airy with a large bathroom with walk in shower. The hotel is spotlessly clean and breakfast was fabulous with a magnificent choice of food catering for every palette! The only negative for me was my lunch. My wife plumped for sea bass and raspberry tart with custard which she said was delicious. Unfortunately, I selected steak and ale pie which had obviously been left beneath a heat lamp as it had dried out, although the taste was lovely, followed by a rather dry American cheesecake. The only other negative was a lumpy pillow (but I'm sure that would have been changed had I asked). Overall, despite my food experience, it is a great hotel, with friendly staff and there is much to be recommended.

Our experience was below average, for £. Room very small, our door handle missing, Somebody else's medication was found just under the sideboard (could not be missed) Bed - not to my comfort, slept poorly, cold room and not very welcoming, On our arrival, the welcome was not as I would expect from any ”guest house” NO PARKING, and the recommended parking by this what i would call a ”bedsit” Locks up at 19:30 and reopens ”early”, there was no mention of the parking until you get a confirmation email, because of the nature of our visit. This was not good enough, and the local parking was shocking, and at the time there are roadworks which made parking even more difficult, this ”guest hse” is NOT suitable for disabled, Breakfast : was ok, but was told that mushrooms are not available due to ”they take too long to cook” very odd as they only take minutes, the tea/coffee/juices did not come, I had to ask mid breakfast, And anything from ”basic standard English” have to pay extra, even a capachino was extra charge, 1, parking situation should be high lighted 2, I would not advertise as a guest hse 3, cleaning is poor- should NEVER find other people medication, 4, TV , signal would be better, I would not stay or recommend this accommodation Good point : close to canel for a nice stroll,

I travel all over the UK staying in Hotels from 5 star to budget. This place is amazing. The check in was great, I was treated like a person. The room is so spacious and clean. It only has 5 rooms which is a bonus on some ways. The food...... WOW, this place is in the league of 5 star hotels. Its been along time since i had food this good in a hotel. I sat in the var so I could see the kitchen staff, they too so much care on the food they were preparing, this shows passion and dedication which was shown when the food was sent from the pass. If you are staying close by or even a few miles out this place is worth the visit.
