I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Most Memorable Stay of My First Trip to China I did a lot of research before choosing this guesthouse in Lijiang. Then I saw a photo of Aobai and somehow felt a calling 😂. I'm so glad I booked it because this turned out to be the most memorable stay of my entire trip. From the moment we arrived, Ah Zhi and Xiaofei came to pick us up from the drop-off point and helped with our large and heavy luggage. We were travelling with children and walking slowly, but Xiaofei patiently walked with us while Ah Zhi pulled the luggage trolley all the way. My first impression was that Ah Zhi and Xiaofei looked quite serious and intimidating 😂, but after getting to know them, I discovered they are some of the kindest and most helpful people I met during my trip. The guesthouse is tucked away among the shops, making it peaceful, quiet, and cozy. We were welcomed by beautiful lady boss Wang Hui with high-quality Pu'er tea and flower pastries. The hospitality started immediately, and the tea never seemed to stop flowing. Xiaofei, who constantly made sure I never went thirsty. Every time he saw me, he would offer me tea or stop by for a chat. Although my Mandarin is limited, communication was never a problem. We used Google Translate whenever needed and even had a few of our famous ”fresh air sessions” together 😂. Before long, it became an inside joke whenever Ah Zhi or Xiaofei saw me. Of course, I cannot forget Aobai, the true star of the guesthouse! The owners were always happy to let Aobai out whenever my children wanted to see or play with him. After one play session, Xiaofei even noticed my coat was covered in Aobai's fur and handed me a lint remover. Such a thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was one of the most unique experiences. All guests sit together at one long dining table, creating a warm and homely atmosphere. As a Muslim, I couldn't eat the noodles, but that was not a problem. I enjoyed steamed sweet potatoes, corn, and eggs, while the staff kindly prepared hot water for the cup noodles I brought for my children and even provided milk drinks. Everyone was respectful of my dietary restrictions. There is also a free-flow coffee machine in the lobby using freshly ground coffee beans. Thank you, Ah Zhi, for making fresh coffee for me. When I requested milk for my coffee, Ah Zhi and Xiaofei happily helped. These little gestures made me feel so welcome. It rained throughout our stay, but Xiaofei and Ah Zhi constantly reminded us to take umbrellas whenever we went out. Even when they were having dinner, they would come out to assist us, greet us when we returned, or see us off when we left. A special thank you to Wang Hui, Ah Zhi, and Xiaofei. Their warmth, kindness, and hospitality made us feel completely at home. On checkout day, our train was very early, and Ah Zhi kindly sent us off with flower pastries and milk drinks for the journey. Xiaofei also recommended a halal restaurant nearby, and the food was exceptionally delicious. I would also like to thank the other staff members whose names I unfortunately did not get. Every single person we met was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring. I already miss Aobai and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my first trip to China such a memorable one. A 10 star experience From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the two Mo sisters and their adorable feline companions, Pirate (the black cat) and Sweet Tooth (the brown one). Everything about this stay—from the location and decor to the impeccable cleanliness and service—deserves 10 stars. The Mo sisters are incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful, making the entire place feel like a beautifully maintained, quaint home. A few highlights: Thoughtful Details: The beds come equipped with heating pads for colder nights, which was such a nice touch. Amenities: I absolutely loved the peaceful courtyard and the rooftop area. Service: They are very attentive; for instance, if you need brighter reading lights, you just have to ask. The Atmosphere: The garden is lovingly cared for and adds so much to the vibe. Even as a dedicated dog lover, I have to admit that Pirate and Sweet Tooth completely won me over. If you are looking for a stay with character and heart, this is it!

We had a great stay at Country Inn by Radisson in Dali and would happily stay here again. It offers excellent value for money, very friendly service, and clean, comfortable rooms in a convenient location. Location: The hotel is around a 10-minute Didi ride from Dali Ancient City, the Three Pagodas, and the Old Tea Horse Trail and 15min ride to Longkan Pier, making it easy to explore the main attractions on the West side. There are also plenty of convenient shared rental scooters available outside each morning, and taxis arrive quickly. Room & Cleanliness: Before arriving, we requested a non-smoking room. Our original room was still undergoing a smoke removal treatment, so the staff kindly upgraded us to one of their ”Pure Stay” rooms on the second floor. It was also much quieter, which was appreciated as I needed to work during our stay. The room was clean, spacious, had no smoke smell at all and even had an air purifying system. The hotel feels very new and is well maintained all lights and curtains in the room can be controlled with smart panels. The bed was soft and comfortable, with thick, good-quality duvets that made for a great night's sleep. The air conditioning was excellent and a welcome relief from the summer heat, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom was equally clean, with an automatic flushing toilet featuring a built-in UV sanitiser as part of the Pure Stay room. The shower had excellent water pressure, and as someone with very long, thick hair, I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the shampoo and conditioners. Service The service was one of the highlights of our stay. The front desk staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and eager to help. A special thank you to the two gentlemen at reception who went above and beyond to communicate with us, organise the room upgrade, and even print several work documents for me free of charge. We were also welcomed with a small gift at check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. Facilities: The hotel has a lovely garden with several attractive spots for holiday photos. There is a convenient 24-hour tea and coffee station in the lobby, as well as a large power bank rental station before heading out for the day. The only small suggestion would be to also provide coffee sachets in the guest rooms for added convenience. The complimentary WiFi is an open network, which is a bit risky. It was a little slow for heavier work tasks but was perfectly adequate for normal browsing and everyday use. Breakfast: Breakfast was the only area that did not quite match the rest of our experience. There was a reasonable selection, but we found it fairly basic, particularly for international travellers, and chose to have breakfast elsewhere on our second morning. Overall: This hotel offers excellent value, outstanding cleanliness, genuinely helpful staff, and a convenient location for exploring Dali. If you are looking for a comfortable, modern hotel with friendly service, I would happily recommend staying here.

El estacionamiento es súper conveniente, justo en la puerta. El dueño es muy amable y nos ayudó con el equipaje, nos ofreció un té por la tarde y hasta nos llevó y recogió del casco antiguo. Con el té por la tarde servido, el ambiente se volvió perfecto de inmediato. Los fideos de arroz del desayuno también estaban deliciosos, y la ubicación es muy conveniente, cerca del casco antiguo. El entorno es bastante tranquilo, y a todos mis amigos y a mí nos encantó.
