Nos encantó el precio accesible y razonable, el servicio, la facilidad de registro de entrada y salida, la cama firme para un buen soporte de espalda y un sueño reparador. Fue una estancia realmente estupenda. El único problema que tuvimos fue que el ruido del pasillo y de otras habitaciones se escuchaba en nuestra habitación.

Soy un malasio que reservó una habitación muy asequible por primera vez en Taiwán. Aunque no hay recepción, el personal del servicio en línea también es muy bueno para comunicarse y responder preguntas rápidamente. Excepto por la falta de lavadora, todo lo demás sí. Genial, solo toma 7 minutos caminar hasta Jieyun. Es adecuado para viajar solo. Mi cama individual también es muy cómoda, el baño está bien y el aire acondicionado está bien. ¡Esta habitación la próxima vez que venga a Taiwán!

La ubicación del hotel es excelente, justo al lado de Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. Se hace el check-in en el sexto piso, que está ocupado exclusivamente por dormitorios femeninos, lo que lo hace sentir bastante seguro. Los armarios en los dormitorios son de metal delgado y tienden a hacer mucho ruido; incluso yo, que no tengo el sueño ligero, tuve problemas para dormir. Quizás se podría rediseñar o reubicar los armarios. En otros hostales donde me he alojado, rara vez he tenido problemas de ruido. El secador de pelo es débil, así que recomiendo a las chicas con cabello largo que traigan el suyo.

I’ve stayed in several affordable hotels here in Taipei, and I understand that you usually get what you pay for. However, I still believe that basic cleanliness and proper maintenance should always be provided to guests regardless of the price range. Sadly, this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve had so far. First of all, the room did not feel clean at all. The bathtub was extremely dirty, with visible stains and molds around it. Even the toilet walls, floors, and sink area looked poorly maintained. There was also a water leak from the toilet ceiling, which made the bathroom feel even more uncomfortable. The fridge still had leftover food from the previous guest, which honestly made me question if the room had been cleaned properly before we arrived. I also requested for the bed to be cleaned, but after staying there, I suddenly developed rashes, which made me worried about the cleanliness of the sheets and pillows. The sheets had stains, maybe blood stains (not sure what it was). The pillow also had an unpleasant smell, as if it had not been washed properly. As someone who values cleanliness, this was very disappointing and uncomfortable. Another issue was the condition of the room itself. Despite having several light bulbs installed, only one light was working, making the entire room feel dark and gloomy. The walls and bathroom areas clearly need maintenance and renovation. On top of that, the soundproofing was very poor. I could hear noises from other rooms very clearly, including conversations and even dripping water sounds throughout the night, making it difficult to rest comfortably. What disappointed me the most was that the photos posted online looked completely different from the actual room. The hotel appeared much cleaner and more maintained in the pictures, which honestly gave us expectations that were far from reality. However, I genuinely want to commend the staff because they were the only bright side of our stay. The receptionist was very kind, polite, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. They were approachable and communicated well in English, which was very helpful for foreign guests like us. Despite the condition of the hotel, the staff still tried their best to assist guests professionally and respectfully. You can tell that they are hardworking people simply doing their job properly. That is also why I feel bad leaving this kind of review. The staff members deserve appreciation because they handle guests with patience and kindness, even though many of the problems seem to come from the hotel’s maintenance and management itself. It honestly feels like the employees are the ones carrying the burden of complaints that should already be addressed by the owner. My brother and I even considered changing hotels, but since we were only staying for 2 nights and 1 day, we decided to just endure it. I truly hope the owner takes guest feedback seriously because the hotel has potential if proper cleanliness, maintenance, and care are given attention. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I think future guests deserve an honest experience, and I also hope this review encourages improvements because the staff truly deserve a better-managed workplace and guests deserve a cleaner and more comfortable stay.

La ubicación es muy conveniente como muchos restaurantes, 7-11, supermercado cerca, no lejos de MRT. Viajar con autobuses también es conveniente como muchos autobuses pasan por la zona. Desventajas: La iluminación de la habitación era muy tenue y al reservar no me di cuenta de que no tenía ventanas. La higiene debería ser aceptable, pero tampoco se podía apreciar bien debido a la oscuridad. La decoración era terrible; aparte de las sábanas y el techo blancos, todo lo demás era de paneles negros, y al no tener ventanas y con la mala iluminación, cada noche al volver a la habitación me sentía completamente sin energía ni motivación. Sin embargo, parece que la decoración es antigua, espero que el formaldehído ya se haya disipado. No sé si en todos los hoteles de Taiwán la lavandería es de pago, pero en este tanto la lavadora como la secadora se pagaban por separado, aunque no recuerdo el precio exacto. Ventajas: Buena ubicación, justo enfrente de la estación de tren de Taipéi.

I write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all. The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing? The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room. On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before. It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well? Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me. It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again I hope to hear from you on the above mentioned. Thank you.

This is our second time staying in Stat Beauty Hotel for their Luxury Double Room. This time we stay for 4 nights and the location of the hotel is near the MTR station and the night market of Shillin Night Market. It will about 15 - 20 minutes from the hotel walk to the MTR station or take 20 - 26 minutes from the hotel walk to Shillin Night Market. The room we booked is big enough for us it two persons that stay and the room is nice but the hotel always provide one pillow for one person . If I sleep on the bed with only one pillow then I can see the rooftop and not the TV. I suggest to the hotel to provide two pillows for each person to stay  without our request, so that he can watch the TV easily. The bathroom is big and come with a big bathtub. The water pressure is now t very strong but just good enough for shower.  I would like to make a bit complaint to the old lady for the the housekeeping. She only come to change towels, refill toiletries  and thru rubbish only and never do cleaning and arrange the bedding. So on my third day O have towels request to the front seat to tell her to clean our toilet. Overall we are happy to stay in Star Beauty Hotel and would like to recommend this hotel to other travellers. I will stay again if I come to Taipei in the future.

Hotel location is very convenient, just behind Mitsukoshi Department and across Taipei Main Station. Very good for catching early morning train as us. Look out for the lift lobby, is just beyond the boba tea shop, lobby is 5th level. Plenty of food options around the area.

A Scenic Stay with a Convenient Catch My stay at Hotelday Hualien was a bit of a mixed bag. It has some genuinely charming touches and a great view, but its location and certain amenities require some adjustment. Location & Transportation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Hualien Train Station, which is fantastic if you're arriving by rail. However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of. The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic. Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility. On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch. The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future. Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.
