🏰 Castel Sant’Angelo, Rome 🇮🇹 — History with a Spectacular View! ✨Visiting Castel Sant’Angelo was one of my favorite experiences in Rome! ❤️ Originally built as Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum, this impressive fortress has served as a papal refuge, prison, and castle throughout its fascinating history.Walking through its ancient corridors, grand rooms, and defensive passages felt like traveling through centuries of Roman history. 🏛️🌅 The highlight? The panoramic terrace! The breathtaking views over the Tiber River, St. Peter’s Basilica, and Rome’s beautiful rooftops are absolutely unforgettable. 📸😍💡 Travel tip: Visit in the late afternoon for beautiful lighting, and don’t miss the nearby Ponte Sant’Angelo with its magnificent angel sculptures.❤️ A wonderful combination of history, architecture, and incredible scenery. Definitely worth visiting!#CastelSantAngelo #Rome #ItalyTravel #VisitRome

Amazing gallery! Book early ahead of time. But it is one of the best things to do in Rome.

such a lovely place, the duomo or cathedral is very big that I cannot take a picture of the whole cathedral. Even if I have seen it several times I always love to visit and see it again and again.
