El pueblo antiguo de Fenghuang, ubicado en la prefectura autónoma Tujia y Miao de Xiangxi, provincia de Hunan, es un pueblo fronterizo de gran importancia literaria. Considerado un atractivo turístico nacional de categoría 5A, fue elogiado por el escritor neozelandés Rewi Alley como "el pueblo pequeño más hermoso de China". El río Tuojiang fluye apaciblemente a través del pueblo, con casas sobre pilotes a lo largo de sus orillas y sinuosas callejuelas empedradas. Este es el lugar de origen de la novela "Pueblo Fronterizo" de Shen Congwen, y alberga el encanto único de Xiangxi. The park is great! Well maintained and a beautiful place to see nature. I would say, your experience will vary with the weather. For me, it was really foggy and nothing was visible at the top... but still I was able to enjoy the lower area. I think there is beauty in seeing the park with the fog. Many tourists were complaining a lot about not being able to the view from the top. But I think any experience has its great points... you have to adapt to the weather after all.

Orange Island is a bit of a mixed experience, and I'm honestly not entirely sure whether I'd consider it a must-visit in Changsha.It's a large, green, and pleasant park, with beautiful riverside views and plenty of space for walking. If you enjoy places with historical significance or simply want to experience a different side of the city, it's definitely worth considering.Most visitors seem to take the sightseeing train to the southern end of the island, where the famous Mao Zedong statue is located. That's also where you'll find plenty of people taking photos, so don't expect a particularly quiet experience.The main downside is that visiting the island takes quite a bit of time, especially if you want to explore it properly. And while it's certainly a nice place, I'm not sure the experience justifies spending several hours here if you have a limited amount of time in Changsha and other places you'd like to see.On the other hand, if you're simply looking for a relaxing walk through a green park, with opportunities to stop by the river and enjoy the scenery, it's a lovely option.Overall, I'd say it's worth visiting if you have some extra time or are particularly interested in Chinese history. Otherwise, I wouldn't necessarily put it at the very top of your Changsha itinerary.

It’s misty but at least not raining, climbed all 3 peaks- 红云今顶、老金顶 和蘑菇石… Into the park at 7.42am, no queues at all and out around 2pm after conquering all 3 peaks!

湖南博物院馆藏文物璀璨，串联起从商周青铜到两汉马王堆的湖湘文明。馆内珍藏大量国宝级文物，见证南方文明的瑰丽与传奇。与其他博物馆相比，湖南省博物馆特别的地方就是，它将马王堆汉墓辛追夫人的墓坑，1:1复制到了馆内，贯穿多层展厅，观众从地上看到地下，从生活场景看到棺椁、遗体。身处其中，非常的震撼。

来千户苗寨选对住宿太重要！鸾喜这家视野绝了，在房间就能欣赏吊脚楼与万家灯火，不用挤观景台。离网红机位几步路，房间打扫得很干净，床品睡得踏实。到景区后，管家小哥哥会帮忙搬行李，介绍游玩路线，推荐的饭店也很好吃，连吃了两顿。酒店有下午茶和晚安汤，强烈推荐，再来苗寨还会住这里。

We visited at the end of October. At this time of year, the area is no longer as crowded, so we were able to head straight from the visitor center to the entrance of the scenic area without any wait. The route begins with an elevator ride down into the valley. There is only one path, so it’s impossible to get lost. Near the stalls, there is a staircase leading quite a way up the rock face—but this is a dead end; you have to head back down the steps to continue along the path in the valley. At the end of the valley, we took a shuttle to Longshuixia. There, you first enter a tunnel, and upon exiting it, you take an elevator down into the gorge. Again, there is only one path, so you cannot get lost. At the end of the gorge, a shuttle awaits to take you back to the visitor center. Everything is very well organized.
