The Ark of Bukhara is one of the most unmissable historical sites in the city. In the hot days of the summer, this impressive structure is at the peak of its magnificence, emanating an aura from the ancient days when it was a prominent fortress, equipped with cannons, high walls and observation towers that survived the test of time until this day. The interiors of the Ark are accessible with an entrance fee, while the exteriors of the site have good photo and sightseeing spots free of charge.

I visited Sitora-I-Moh-I today as it was not far from my hotel. I’m really glad I visited what a stunning Palace! If you are interested in Architecture and applied arts then you will by amazed at the artefacts in the Palace. The walls are hand painted and tiled in the most beautiful designs. There is a very comprehensive costume museum inside the palace with a variety of coats, books, shoes, belts and hats from the ladies of the Harem and the Emir Alim Khan himself! I didn’t expect such a large collection of artefacts of such supreme museum quality. The tiles and the embroideries were exquisite. The surroundings were beautiful and restoration work was going on during my visit so I was not able to see some of the Palace. I thought the entry fee of 60000 was a real bargain for the Quality of the collection. The Palace is in need of restoration as some of its interiors and exteriors are needing to be painted. I hope that visits will contribute to the funds necessary to update the Palace so more people can enjoy it.

Un luogo interessante da vedere a Bukhara , molto particolare nell' architettura. Si può salire pagando ma secondo me non vale la pena . Più bello da fuori.

1100年的建筑到现在维修保存的这么好，难能可贵，还是石制建筑靠谱。广场旁拉客的三轮车和中国一模一样。这边整体物价不贵，可以放心消费。

This statue of Khodja Nasreddin is located in the city square in Bukhara. As a memorial to perhaps the most celebrated character in Sufi folklore, the statue displays the Khodja showing the most recognizable gesture in the culture of this region, the right hand over the heart as a sign of respect and gratitude, and the left hand, held high with the thumb and the forefinger cinched, with a smile riding on his trusty donkey.

萨曼尼陵墓 Ismail Samani Mausoleum （萨曼皇陵，伊斯梅尔·萨马尼陵墓）是中亚现存最古老、保存最完整的伊斯兰陵墓，世界文化遗产。建于公元9–10世纪（约905年完工），埋葬萨曼王朝开国君主伊斯梅尔·萨马尼，连同他父亲、孙子，一共三位王族。• 整座建筑只用烧砖砌筑，没有琉璃、彩绘，靠20多种不同的砌砖方式拼出立体几何纹样。阳光角度变化，墙面砖纹光影会不断变化，是早期伊斯兰砖砌建筑的巅峰。• 造型：立方体基座 + 中央巨大半球穹顶，四角配四个小穹顶；四面完全对称，不分正面背面。立方体代表大地，穹顶代表天穹，融合波斯祆教“天圆地方”思想与伊斯兰建筑美学。• 有一个故事：蒙古西征时，当地人主动把整片墓地用土掩埋，因此躲过成吉思汗大军的摧毁。直到苏联时期考古发掘才重见天日，是萨曼王朝唯一留存至今的建筑。• 位置：布哈拉城市公园内；传说绕陵墓走三圈，会带来好运。周围有很多卖关于这个王朝故事的书；关于这个萨曼王朝的故事（819–999年）萨曼王朝是波斯文化复兴时代，塔吉克人将它视作自己民族的黄金时代。1. 起源先祖萨曼·胡达，原本是波斯祆教贵族，后来改信伊斯兰教。阿拔斯哈里发为嘉奖他们家族，把中亚几座城市分封给萨曼的四个孙子，其中布哈拉、撒马尔罕、费尔干纳、塔什干都在其势力范围。2. 鼎盛君主：伊斯梅尔·萨马尼把布哈拉定为首都，统一河中地区（乌兹别克、塔吉克一带），向西打到伊朗呼罗珊。• 国力强盛，丝路贸易繁荣；• 大力扶持波斯文化，让波斯语重回中亚主流，大量典籍翻译、文学蓬勃发展；• 鼓励科学、天文、医学，是中亚的文化黄金时代。简单一句话：在帖木儿之前，萨曼王朝才是中亚的霸主。撒马尔罕当时属于萨曼领地，但首都在布哈拉。3. 王朝落幕999年，来自东方的喀喇汗王朝入侵，攻破布哈拉，萨曼王朝灭亡。萨曼王朝覆灭之后，中亚权力几经更迭，数百年后才轮到帖木儿崛起，定都撒马尔罕。
