Checked in at 3:30pm on a weekday and was told the room still wasn’t ready, which was disappointing considering it wasn’t a public holiday and the hotel didn’t appear particularly busy. After a long day of travelling, the last thing you expect is to wait around past check-in time with no proper explanation or urgency from staff.
The facilities were another letdown. Went for a swim around 9:30am only to find the pool closed for cleaning during peak morning hours. The spa and steam room were also frustrating to use because we had to search for staff every single time just to get them switched on. It defeats the purpose of advertising these facilities if guests can’t conveniently access them when they want to relax.
Overall, the hotel looks nice on the surface, but the service and management of the facilities really took away from the experience. For a Pullman hotel, I expected a much smoother and more premium stay.
The staff was all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great. Love their Ayam Pandan. They provides pick up service to and from airport and Mulu Park. The only thing that need improvement is the wifi as the wifi is only available at the hotel lobby. No wifi at all when we were at our room. Since it’s Marriott, we really dont expect wifi would be the issue.
The cleanliness of the hotel surprised me, every part of the room is clean & comfy. Swimming pool & jacuzzi water were cold, it would be awesome if the jacuzzi water is hot. And in case you need extra pillow, they will make you pay for “renting” it.
En general, fue una buena estancia. El hotel está en una ubicación perfecta y es muy acogedor y tranquilo. El personal de recepción fue amigable y útil. Me alojaba en una agradable habitación con piscina y vistas al mar. Faiz Haslan también compartió alguna información sobre los lugares que visitaba, que fue muy útil. El desayuno era muy agradable y había una buena variedad de alimentos. Sería bueno disponer de WiFi en la habitación y no sólo en las zonas públicas.
Just arrived at the hotel and was informed that there was ongoing water pipe repair work outside, which caused a temporary water disruption during the daytime. We couldn’t shower or wash our hands for a while, which was quite inconvenient. Thankfully, the water supply returned to normal again in the evening.
Front desk staff were still very polite and helpful throughout the situation.
We booked the Deluxe Single Room, and the king-sized bed was very comfortable and spacious, enough for us two adults and our 2yo child, with plenty of extra space. However, the bed felt slightly damp when we first arrived, but it became better later at night.
The hotel also has a family pool and direct beach access, which makes it a great place for families with kids to relax and unwind. The buffet breakfast menu was also quite rich with plenty of choices.

AAJ & ECCheck in process was smooth and seamless. Room were located at 15th Floor. Room definitely has aged after the many years in operation. All were good, nevertheless. Breakfast next day was the highlight. A good selection of international and local dishes were served. Good variety I would personally say. Sservice staff was attentive and kitchen team delivered what was requested. Definitely will make a return visit to the hotel again 👍🏻
