Amazing place, a nice balance between relaxing and action packed. So much to do on site and all the staff were so friendly. Throughly enjoyed by adults & teens. Will definitely return, but definitely with our own pillows, it was like laying your head on a pile of lumpy socks 🫣

We had booked this hotel as a family of 5 for a weekend away. We chose this style of room to give us more space. So there were 7 beds in total. It is a clean but basic hotel and I would say quite expensive, nearly £200 a night. This did include a buffet breakfast, which was nice but limited hot drinks options. The staff were friendly and the lady replenished the food often. There is plenty of parking.

As we payed a upgrade to the second floor, I can o ly say that the standard room miss several things which we would miss. The second floor room was prefect with everything one could need. The restaurant is quite expensive and with few food elections. Whatever the lobby bar has some good tasting sandwiches etc... You come by car, as bus connections to Vejle is non existing. The surroundings offer nice forrest walks. The reception a little distancing, but OK. Our reservation over Booking com was disgusting. Their ”machine ” did not have the least understanding for a visa cart problem. 2 days before our comming, they told us the reservation for 4 days definitely was canceled 🤬 Never again through booking com.

La habitación es limpia, las características deportivas, también vi la escena de la pelota durante el fin de semana, el parque verde cercano se ahoga en agua, adecuado para caminar. Pero no hay restaurantes alrededor, es bueno tener un supermercado, puede comprar DIY por sí mismo

El hotel es un hotel de gran valor y me impresionó. La habitación era muy grande y, aunque el minimalista todavía tenía instalaciones de café. El desayuno podría hacer una pequeña mejora, pero en general estaba muy contento con mi estancia.

The guesthouse location was easily accessible, workers were very helpful and friendly. I was only disappointed with the breakfast location which was different from were we were staying. This means driving every morning for breakfast! It's a very nice place fir sport lovers.

Hotelzimmer sind okay und das Hotel ist gut gelegen an der Hafenfront. Die Erfahrungen mit dem Personal am Check-In war aber so miserabel, dass ich aufgrund dessen leider nur einen Stern geben kann. Ich hatte nach meiner Buchung das Hotel schriftlich kontaktiert bezüglich eines Zimmers mit Doppelbett sowie einem Babybett. Beides wurde sofort bestätigt und uns zugesichert. Vor Ort habe ich am Computer einen self check-in durchgeführt und auch dort war ein Vermerk bezüglich Babybett vorhanden. Das Zimmer hatte aber dann nur zwei getrennte Einzelbetten und es stand auch kein Babybett bereit. Daraufhin habe ich die Rezeption kontaktiert und mir wurde gesagt, dass ich die Betten zusammenschieben soll. Das wäre dann auch das Doppelbett, was man mir zugesichert hatte. Das war für uns mit Baby, das mal nachts zwischen uns liegt, eine unmögliche Option. Alternativ ein Zimmerupgrade für knapp 400 DKK mit „richtigem“ Doppelbett. Und das Babybett sollte ich dann mit 100 DKK extra pro Nacht bezahlen, „sofern überhaupt noch eins verfügbar“ sei. Dass mir alles vorher schriftlich zugesichert worden ist und ich keinen Hinweis auf Zusatzgebühren hatte, wurde komplett ignoriert. Statt einer Entschuldigung wurde ich extrem unfreundlich behandelt und ich musste dann das Babybett extra bezahlen. Auch eine anschließende Beschwerde an die Hotelleitung wurde komplett ignoriert und wieder von der gleichen Rezeptionistin (Metteliiva) beantwortet. Ich habe noch nie so eine schreckliche Servicerfahrung machen müssen und kann das Hotel daher niemandem weiterempfehlen. Man zahlt am Ende deutlich mehr als man im Vorfeld kommuniziert bekommt. Andere Hotels in Dänemark waren da um Längen besser und freundlicher

Unfortunately, this is one of the times where I will need to leave a ”Do not recommend” review for this property. We arrived about 10pm at night, having ordered a room for 3 guests, with 3 beds. All the information was confirmed in the online receipt we received after booking said hotel. We arrived, and were checked in. When we got to our room, we discovered there was only 2 beds? When we went downstairs to reception to try and see why we didn't get the room we had ordered. It was suggested that we would need to purchase another room at an additional cost and that somehow *********** or ourselves were at fault? When in fact we still have the receipts that clearly states : ”Maximum capacity 3 guests maximum, of which 3 adults maximum. Your total price is based on the rate for your booked number of guests (2 adults, 1 child).” ”Bed Size(s): 2 single beds, 1 futon bed.” We then had to wait for phone calls to be made to management, in order to then be escorted to the first floor to collect a spare bed. We were then tasked to take bed to said room (second floor) and take it to our assigned room and set it up and make it ourselves. It was an unpleasant experience, especially as it was late at night and we were very tired (22:30) having travelled all day. We had all the documentation and receipts from *********** that clearly showed and defined the terms of what we had ordered and paid for. But that didn't seem to hurry the process. The room itself was ok. Unfortunately there were issues in the night, the room was rather warm and the adjustments to the temperature seemed to make little difference. We then used the supplied in room portable bedroom fan, but it had a wining noise and the speed & performance would fluctuate. The fan itself did turn on and off by itself during the night? Originally we thought that may have been due to a defective fan, but the devices were were charging (phones etc) also constantly made plinging sounds throughout, suggesting that the issue was more so down to fluctuation of electricity through its electrical ports in all the room. Having stayed at this hotel previously, and previously enjoyed it. It is a real shame that we found the latest stay to be stressful. As this is not something that one expects when they have paid a considerable amount for a room. And so I am no longer able to recommend this hotel.

No es el mejor hotel que hemos estado en. Concordo con una revisión anterior no hay fruta para el desayuno principalmente queso de pan en la oferta. La cena fue muy deliciosa el jefe Robert es la primera clase. Cuando le pregunté si podíamos hacer un cheque tarde, el Hotel le pidió una cantidad exorbitante de dinero. No hay un hotel de cuatro estrellas, no hay puntos USB en las habitaciones de viajeros internacionales que quieren cargar dispositivos inteligentes.

A beautiful new waterfront property which strives for the stars. Even the side rooms have a view. It was the high season and the hotel was fully booked, which may have attributed to minor hiccups in the service due to insufficient staffing. Although our room was a side room near back landside corner on the second floor we still had a reasonable river view. The 16th floor is an open viewing platform (Point of View) and provides a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the area. A must visit. Go there after 7 p.m. when it only is open for the hotel guests. Entrance is free, get a key at the front desk. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food, but strangely enough no orange juice. We didn't try the main restaurant, instead eating at the bar where the snacks were delicious and well presented. We didn't try the 17th story 1-starred Michelin restaurant. Rooms are tastefully appointed, with motor-controlled elevation beds. One USB port is provided on each side of the bed and at the desk. Motion activated bedside floor lighting makes nighttime visits to the bathroom easy. But the bathroom lacks this feature. A half width sliding door between the bathroom and bed gives a choice of privacy or through-the-room outside views. However, the sliding door does not provide adequate sound proofing of flatulence. We also used the large, beautiful spa with sauna, pools, steam room etc. There are also two large outdoor whirlpools with a great river view. You must book a 3-hour slot in advance at a cost of 295 DKK per person. The spa café also provides light snacks, with healthy as well as alcoholic drinks. The waterfront was also part of the third stage of Tour de France in 2022. It's a short walk along the waterfront to Sønderborg fortress, and in July you may see the royal yacht berthed there, since the queen regularly spends some time in the summer at Gråsten castle about 10 km west of Sønderborg. But do not expect over the top staffing and service with valet parking, bell hops to carry your baggage, a professional concierge desk and you might find at Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. But it is a top-notch excellent hotel with a modern Danish minimalistic design, I would probably consider this the best hotel in Denmark outside Copenhagen.
